Absolutely love, Love, LOVE Krysten! She is one dope a$$ tattoo artist! She's given me 3 different tattoos, they range from cute animals to an amazing tree and the most recent one, a simple but a beautiful quote. She does it allllllll! Highly recommend her, if you can get an appointment with her, you should! She's usually booked up for months!

My husband went to Rabid Hands for a sleeve. He went in to see Bryan. Bryan did excellent work for him, so I decided I would get my next tattoo from him as well. I have had major anxiety in the past getting tattoos and/or piercings. I was very nervous going to a new artist. I will say that Bryan is very light handed in tattooing and he really made me feel comfortable and at ease. Bryan took on my biggest tattoo and honestly made it so easy. The last tattoo I had, I told my husband "I can safely say this will probably be the last tattoo I ever get." I have such love for ink, it was hard for me to stick to my word. My mom and I made appointments with Bryan about 3 months in advance (because that's how long he is booked!) I gave Bryan an idea of what I wanted a week before. He had sent me a drawing before my tattoo and I loved it. There were a few tweaks I wanted to make, and he said no problem. The day of the tattoo, I went in and Bryan had re drawn what I wanted. When he put the stencil on me I felt like it was too big, and without hesitation or attitude he went and shrunk it down. By far he is the BEST tattoo artist I have ever dealt with! He was so patient with me and made sure I got what I wanted. I will say, although this was the BIGGEST tattoo I have ever gotten... it was the easiest. It took an hour and turned out BEAUTIFULLY!!! I love it!!! Bryan does amazing work and I will definitely go back for my next.... and now I can confidentially say, that was NOT my last tattoo!!! Thanks Bryan, you rock!!!!!

If I could give this place 100 stars, I would! The tattoo scene in Seattle is huge and there are SO MANY shops and artists to choose from! Not only do you want quality art work but you also want quality atmosphere and an artist that CARES and LISTENS to the permanent image they will be applying to your skin. Right when you walk in the door at Rabid Hand you can see how clean and professional it is. It isn't overly decorated. Clean walls with tasteful art that expresses each artist. I love the way the stations are set. They each have their own work space so it isn't cramped. Some places have open floor lay out and you end up being tattooed, half naked, with an audience. Always important to find an artist that meets all your needs. Each artist in this shop has their own unique style and seem very professional. Not to mention.. friendly.. WHOA. Not to stereotype but there seems to be a lot of arrogant tattooers out there. I have been tattooed by Krysten Dae at Under the needle and then at Apocalypse. She is friendly and there is never an eye roll when expressing your vision. She is a TRUE artist that takes time to draw up beautiful, custom pieces. Talent. check. Friendly. check. RAD AS F@*% CHECK! She is good enough to be booked out for months so if you are looking to book with her, I suggest making a consultation appointment in advance. The other artists there are worthy of all the praise as well. Sara Purr is also worth checking out! She has a classic style and she ROCKS IT! Last time I was in she was drawing up a lady with a fox head/hat. Lets just say.. I would have let her tattoo me right then and there.. although I was already in the middle of getting my work done with Krysten ;) Thank you Rabid Hand for being a clean, comfortable and professional shop I can count on for quality work!!!!!!

Jacqui A. Did my tattoo. I love it! She is very talented. I was really nervous of the pain factor because it is located on my spine but she did a great job! Shop was really clean and comfortable.

I am absolutely thrilled I found Bryan Kachel at Rabid Hands. I was very impressed when I first stepped into the shop it was well organized and very clean compared to other tattoo shops I've been to. Bryan is beyond amazing in all categories from his personality, attention to detail, understanding of how I envisioned the desirable piece to look on my skin, his creative thought process and suggestions, his timing and pricing, and the beautiful outcome of the tattoo. He also fixed an older tattoo on my arm and brought it back to life. Awesome guy! I don't care how how far he is booked out, I will now forever continue to work with Bryan.

During that time I've never actually written a review before, but my recent sessions with Tim Bradley (aka Mean Ole Tim) at the Wallingford location deserve one. Tim has been an absolute standout. He's not just a skilled tattooer -- he's an artist and professional in the truest sense. His ability to translate an idea into something that feels both deeply personal and beautifully cohesive is unreal. He recently completed a full torso panel of my German shepherd, Stryder, in an Irezumi-inspired style, as well as two custom hand pieces -- and every step of the process was collaborative, thoughtful, and executed with precision. What I appreciate most is Tim's mix of humility, humor, and quiet confidence. He listens, gives honest feedback, and works with a level of care that shows in every line and aspect of the piece. The end result isn't just cool ink -- it's art that carries weight, intention, and soul. After nearly a decade with STTN, I can say this has been one of my best experiences yet. If you're looking for someone who genuinely gives a damn about both the craft and the client, Tim's your guy.

It was so amazing and I was so impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted in a very nice way, my needs were heard and respected, and, oh my, what a selection of different jewelry they have to pick from, very impressive! Adam did my ear piercing and listened to where I wanted the new piercing and Adam double checked before we proceeded with the piercing. But what most impressed me was how he prioritized Sanitation. I think he must have changed his gloves four times after he touched every item needed for the process. He explained aftercare very well. Checkout was wonderful too, they made sure that I knew how to contact them at any time if I had any other questions or concerns after the fact. Oh, and they made sure I knew what the end cost would be even before the actual piercing so there are no surprises at checkout.

I am beyond furious with the way Pierced Hearts handled my sister's navel piercing. From the start,…read morethis experience has been a disaster due to sheer negligence and a complete lack of accountability. My sister clearly explained to the piercer, Jaime, that she has a very flat belly button and specifically asked if the standard navel jewelry would be appropriate. He confidently said yes -- and we trusted his professional judgment. That trust was completely misplaced. As time passed, the jewelry began to embed itself into her skin, which should never have happened with the right jewelry in the first place. We returned to the shop, and Adam helped change it to a floating navel piercing -- the type she should have received from day one. He apologized and even took a photo of the damage because it was obvious something had gone terribly wrong. But the damage had already been done. Within a week, she developed a severe infection -- one that urgent care later confirmed was likely due to the original jewelry creating a gaping wound that never healed properly. Despite following aftercare instructions to the letter, she ended up on two antibiotics and hydrocodone just to manage the pain. Yet when we returned to the shop a third time to request a refund and share what she was going through, the staff were incredibly dismissive and refused to take any responsibility. They immediately shifted blame, accusing her of neglecting aftercare, even though we were meticulous. No effort was made to offer a solution, express genuine concern, or show even the slightest empathy. Just said "well, do you want to get it pierced again?!" ... no! Her belly button area now is completely bruised and mangled because of this place. We will never be coming back here again. To make matters worse, the owner was outright disrespectful and condescending over the phone. When we told him that medical professionals advised removing the piercing and draining the infection, her arrogant response was, "Why would they do that?!" as if she knew better than actual doctors. That tone alone spoke volumes about how little they care once they have your money. We asked for a refund because of all the trouble we've been through after the negligence of the first piercer, now having to pay for urgent care visits and medication. I chose this shop based on their glowing reviews, but let me be clear: if you're considering any body piercing here, don't. They might be decent with ear piercings or tattoos -- but when it comes to body piercings, especially anything more complex, they are careless, unprofessional, and utterly unwilling to take accountability when something goes wrong. My sister went in for a simple piercing and walked away in physical pain and emotional distress, and not once did they offer real help, only excuses. This shop failed her. Completely.
