This is a very difficult review to write because Julie is so damn nice. I really wanted to give only 1 star, but because she's so nice, I felt obligated to give 2. I went there today because of the outstanding reviews and my regular salon is closed on Tuesdays. Well...the reviews failed me. I went in for a pedicure and a shellac manicure. The gal who did my toes did a nice job until it came time to paint them. The polish is way to thick and she messed up my little toe when putting on my sandals. Trang tried to fix it, but it still looks horrible. Then it came time for Trang to do my shellac. This is where it all went downhill. She applied some primer stuff, then a thick base coat, then THREE thick layers of the polish. It was then that she decided it didn't look good and called on Julie to fix them. I had already been there 2 hours, and now they had to start all over again. The shellac was so thick that it wouldn't come off with the regular soaking method. Julie had to use her little drill to get it all off. Then she had to repaint them. She mentioned during the process that she had to train the gal to apply thinner layers. I'm sorry, but shouldn't painting be Nails 101? I had such high hopes for my visit, especially how sweet Julie is. She easily calls everybody Beautiful and gives sincere compliments to the ladies. She ended up not charging me for my manicure and honestly, even after she "fixed' them, they still look like crap. Unfortunately, I won't be back. I can't wait to go back to my regular salon and have them fix this mess. read more

UPDATE *** :: its not easy to write this review because they are all so kind but I have to be honest & fair . Truth is although they were kind the work was diligent. The nails just don't have staying power. Maybe it's not enough use of primer ... who know but even at a reasonable price you want quality. I was hoping to get at least a full two weeks minimum wear out of these. I have a schedule fill for Monday but I don't think I'll have anything to fill. This time I'll be asking for the nails to mimic more natural polish in natural nails, instead of the puffy style. ( idk what to call it) they kept their shine like they are supposed to but this is so frustrating Nd annoying when your nails are getting caught on everything because they are lifting. I'm mostly disappointed because I live in Redmond & I am going all the way from Redmond to Seattle to get it done. & the second day after application I went right back & got it fixed & tipped again. Then to have this happen. also I don't do anything abnormal with my hands. I'm hoping it gets better after this next fill until then I have to give 4 stars for the service not the customer service The kindness Julie & her staff show definitely enhances the experience. She greeted every customer with "hello beautiful" & " love you more" as they went out the door . I ended up with a picture & a hug by the time I got out the door. I got the SNS nail service done by Julie. She was diligent & thorough in her work. She surprised me by doing an actual manicure including cuticle remover before beginning to file & prep for the dip. No gimmick or extra charge ! She took her time in applying the SNS dip and when I had a concern she was already anticipating my request. I received a lengthy massage, it can be uncomfortable if you don't enjoy being touched. It was intense, & actually ended up laughing quite a bit with a random customer I did not know, who was a return guest because Julie was very personal with her greeting which was nice. The space is quaint but clean . The bathroom was clean, which is a tell tell sign of the cleanliness standard in general. I was able to successfully read a bit of a novel. There wasn't too much background noise & chatter across your heads, while getting your service complete. Overall great value. I enjoyed my visit enough to tip 35% . I did end up having to come back 2 days later which I didn't love because it's pretty far from home. But Julie kindly insisted I come in & she fit me in with no problem & took care of me, I even got another massage. No charge, but I tipped. + made an appointment for two weeks Parking is convenient + there is a nice park across the street if you have kids ! & decent parking. Finding the building was a bit tricky depending which direction your coming from. Big block . I am happy to have found a place that offers such great service at a reasonable price. I'm lucky to have tons of nail places around my neighborhood. This place has been open for years and I decided to drop in for a pedicure. I was greeted immediately upon entering by 4 smiling faces. Two women were giving manicures and two were waiting to help me. As I sat for my 50 minutes of pampering, I got to see the staff interact with regulars that came in during the afternoon. It was really nice to see that they have real connections with people who live and work nearby. Julie's favorite saying is "I love you more!" which she has on a plaque near the cash register. It's a nice touch that makes me smile. My feet got some much needed attention. It is, after all, sandal wearing season and my toes and heels need to be in tip top shape. The pedicure was everything I expected with little surprises here and there. For instance, to remove excess polish, April used a eye shadow brush which was the perfect size and texture for the job. Brilliant! Another surprise was the super long leg massage which was fantastic! I saw them also give shoulder massages to those who were getting manicures so I'll have to try that next. My bill? $20 for nearly an hour worth of pampering! I usually pay $25 to $28 at other nail salons. I had a wonderful day and will definitely be back again. read more

Before coming here, I normally just used to paint my own nails. And other nail salons I've tried were just your typical in and out, no talking type of places. I love the ladies that work here though. They are so friendly, talkative and make you feel so comfortable. They have tons of regulars and they always remember you. I love the people who go to this salon because everytime I come to get my nails done, everyone seems to just talk to each other like we've known each other for a long time. Julie and April are the best. They are very hard working and make sure your nails look good before you walk out of the salon. Appointments are highly recommended as there are usually just two people here. But please do give this salon a try. You will love it! read more

I probably won't be back for awhile after my last visit. They do a fine job but it was so hectic this last time. I made an appt for the two of us several days ahead and when we arrived, it was obvious they hadn't arranged for our slots or they forgot about us because the time we got in was later than our appt time and our services were staggered. When I checked out, they tried to charge me for a mani and pedi and I told her I only got a pedicure. Then she looked at my hands, like to confirm that I did only get a pedicure. Weird. I have been coming here for years but this last visit was just so eh. My friend had to have her toes fixed twice and still the polish job had mistakes. My pedicure did look good though. I will be back but this was certainly an off day! They are very nice ladies working but I do think if you state that you take appointments that you should honor those appointment times. read more

The people working there are hard workers, very nice and sweet people but I am not satisfied with the service. I have a trip coming and I wanted my hands and feet to look good, apparently they just wanted to get a new costumer but didn't really have the time to attend me. I had to book an appointment at another place and pay again for my mani and pedicure. :( This is what happened: I called them to go for a walk in to do a manicure and pedicure. Initially the person that answered the phone told me that they could not attend me due that they were busy, that was around 4:45. Then they talked between them and she came back to me and told me: ok, you can come at 6:30. I went and the place was packed. I stood there because thought they were going to be able to do it. It started well, one of the people started my pedicure it was amazing, she massaged me and did my pedi with no color yet. Then she told me that another person was going to do the color, this second person started painting my nails and she was in such a rush that the polish looked bad, bumpy. She told me she needed to leave because she leaves far away and she could not do the manicure because they were very late to close and she told me to come back tomorrow morning, as if I didn't have to go to work or something. I told her that I could not do that, again they talked between them and decided to do my manicure, they did it literally in like 10 minutes, the cuticle shows underneath the polish the polish looks opaque, and it just looks really unprofessional. Love NT Nails! There is usually only a staff of two - so call ahead for your appointment. It'll be worth the wait! The prices are very reasonable ($30 for a spa mani/pedi), they have comfortable massage chairs for your spa pedicure treatment, and you get about a 10-15minute back massage with your appointment! Only bummer- they're not open on Sundays, so I'm pretty much only able to go on Saturdays, but I'll work around their schedule I like the services here so much. read more

These ladies were so gracious accepting me as a walk in even though I'm not a regular of theirs (but I will be) I literally just came from another salon who were rumored to be "Creative" but were snotty acting put out that I didn't have an appt. My last shellac manicure did not turn out to be so "Lovely" when the white tips of my french manicure became discolored after a week. I found NT thru Yelp and am extremely grateful. Julie is incredible! She is sweet, funny, engaging, and detail oriented. I didn't think it could get any better but then another lady even massaged my shoulders, back, neck, and head while getting my nails done, talk about pampering! I just stopped by this place for the first time to get a quick mani after a hard day. I was surprised by the back and shoulder massage one woman gave me while the other was doing my cuticles. First, I should say that I've only had two other mani/pedis so I'm inexperienced but with that being said... I LOVED this place!!! My appointment was at 9am on a Saturday so there were a lot of street parking across from the store. I walked in and was the first customer of the day. I was greeted enthusiastically. I let them know that I was a newbie to the process and they reassured me that they would take good care of me. I went in for only a pedicure but they suggested a manicure for only $10. I certainly needed it and I agreed. Then they suggested that I get a shellac b/c it would last longer (2 weeks, no chipping). I agreed b/c I wanted a good value she I agreed to the $25 service. The foot bath felt great. The pedicure is what you expected and the woman was very thorough. As an added (and complimentary) bonus I was given a paraffin treatment on my feet. I received a firm but enjoyable leg massage while the paraffin softened my feet. My manicure was great. My fingers look so much better. One woman gave me a great shoulder massage afterwards. All the staff were pleasant but mainly the owner talked to me. During the visit, other clients came in. They were also greeted enthusiastically and were remembered by name. It was a great environment. I loved the entire process and I kept thinking, "I can't wait to give them a great Yelp review" b/c they really deserve it. read more

I recently had a manicure and pedicure done for the first time. While the service was very fast my polish chipped the following day. I went back to have them repaired, which the owner offered to fix with little wait time. Although to my surprise she suggested that I should get a shellac nail if I wanted my nail polish to last more than 2 days. she proceeded to correct several chipped nails by applying more polish on top of the chip nail polish. I of course brought it to her attention that even when I polish my own nails they last at least a week. She continued suggesting that I get shellac nails ,which is triple the price of a manicure. I thanked her and left, vowing never to return because of course once again the next day the polish over Chipped nails , chipped once again. read more

April and Julie always greet their guests with a smile and genuine enthusiasm to see them! This store is really great, and my new location since I just started work about 2 minutes away. The owner is very sweet, tells everyone she loves them and won't leave without a hug. She really listens to what you want and does a great job. I got two awesome massages that helped me relax, the shellac was beautiful and she asked me to make sure it was enough coating. They ask along the way to make sure everything is to your liking. My nails were a bit shorter than I wanted, I wish she had taken little bits of length off at a time to make sure it wasn't too short since it's impossible to go longer without redoing everything. So, I just accepted the shorter length. I did ask for shorter nails. But, I still love them and they look very natural and are easy to type with. My biggest issue with this store is that, in terms of shellac and nail polish, their colors are seriously lacking and outdated, there aren't a lot of options. It looks like they have a ton of beautiful colors for SNS but I don't usually get that. If they got new colors I'd return because the work was so great, but it's hard with the lack of options. UPDATE:* After a few days the top coat on my shellac turned BROWN! I came back to redo it. I don't smoke, I've had shellac hundreds of times and this has never happened to me. I had it fixed and then it HAPPENED AGAIN! The prices are good here but there is something being cheaped out on for sure. I haven't been back and found another nail salon in Greenwood that I had fix the problem and I haven't had that happen to me again since (have had their shellac for 2 weeks now). They are super friendly in this store, but this was so odd I probably won't be back. I really don't think this was anything I did to cause the discoloration twice. The ladies who work here are awesome. The place itself is nothing fancy - quite basic, actually. However the ladies who work here work hard and are incredibly sweet. It's exactly how a nail place should be: no upselling, friendly, and the employees hustle for their business (rub your shoulders, aim to please, etc). They don't seem to charge extra for using credit card which seems crazy - they should! I hope my gel lasts at least 10 days - then it will be a true 5 star stop. read more

The staff here are so welcoming & wam! The favorite saying is "Love you more" and they just seem so thrilled that you are there visiting with them. But even more important, they do an amazing job! I got a pedicure here & it lasted for 3.5 weeks. Only reason, it didn't last longer is that I had gotten a little chip in one of my nails while at the beach, and so I removed the polish due to this. But was quite impressed with how well the pedi lasted especially since I spent a week on the beach, and also did a ton of walking and gym work outs. Prices were also very reasonable. Parking is also easy enough across the street by the park. Easy to get an appointment and even though I needed to change my appointment time a few times they were very accommodating. I come get everytime I get my nails done. I love Julie! She's amazing seriously. She does a wonderful job everytime!! I've been to places where the nail technician will really file my nail hard, making it extremely sore afterwards. But not at NT. Julie literally takes her time, I've never experienced sore nails afterwards! Julie does a good job and listens to you when you ask her to do something, if your not picky. Just moved down to seattle from everett and needed a new nail place. Cane across this here on yelp and its only a mile from the new place so thought id give it a try. The staff is very friendly and prices are not too much. Today besides my traditional pedi i also tried a facial and IM IN LOVE! It lasts an he and includes eyebrow waxing, a nice face wash/rub/mask/sugar rubs etc as well as a nice body massage that was about 20-30min long. Only $45 for the facial and pedi was $20. I was getting work done on my car in a different part of town and had a few hours to kill so I yelped nearby nail salons. NT Nails popped up with great reviews. I figured I'd give it a shot. I ended up with the best french tip shellac manicure I have had in the 5+ years I've been getting them done. Deyun took her time, was careful in her application, made sure I liked the tip length before going they went under the UV light, and made sure all the bubbles that sometimes happen with the gel were taken care of...without me having to ask. While the salon itself is small and a slightly disorganized it clean and full of regular customers whom the owner new by name. read more
