I went to A Ink for a tattoo that covered half my forearm and was pretty simple a snake with flowers. It took 21/2 hrs. They did an amazing job. I however was charged $705.00. You think I had a sleeve done. They charged me $100 to hold my appt. Then $605.00. They said it was 655.00, but kept the rest of the $100 I gave them. They charged taxes for using Venmo and a paint fee. I never heard a tattoo shop charging for paint. I totally felt scammed. The tattoo shop wasn't even nice. I literally was the only person there. Props to the tattoo artist Mia for who good quality work! But that's the only thing that was good. The customer service wasn't good, it looked like she was annoyed when I asked to move the stencil. If you speak mandarin, you get good service at this shop. Also, the payment they do cash but they don't have a card reader. I found A Ink Tattoo on Instagram and was thrilled because it is so hard to find an Asian-style tattoo shop in the Seattle area that specializes in more delicate linework! I got a pretty large tattoo (about 8 inches across) and Mia did a beautiful job. Her shading and linework were so crisp, especially for working with very thin lines. I had to wait about 3.5 months for my appointment from the time of my inquiry, but I think it is a good sign an artist is booked! If you are investing in quality art, I think it is worth it. I rarely leave reviews unless the service was really good or really bad. This was my first tattoo, but after reading a majority of great reviews I felt confident in this shop. My experience however was awful. Right away the artist was making me feel like an annoyance and a burden because I was trying to explain the design. She was giving me a lot of negative looks and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Just got my first tattoo today at A Ink Tattoo. There are two women doing tattoos there, Mia and Angela. Both are great artists and very professional in their work. Mia did my tattoos. I saw the work of their clients before, during, and after my session and all were works of art. I ended up getting two tattoos today, one on my wrist and one on my foot. I am very happy with both. Mia is absolutely amazing! She took my idea and made it better than I imagined. She is so detailed and careful with her work and gave me two sizes to chose from which I loved. I worked with Mia - her communication was great via Instagram DM and she asked a lot of questions to make sure we got the design right. What people are saying about "bad service" is a cultural difference. The service was great, very to the point. We came in for three super small, super simple tattoos. I had spoken previously with the store owner about combining the three of us under one shop minimum, and paying any additional hourly rate not covered by it. He agreed, and said he had availability that day. I told him it would take 45 mins to get there, and he apparently heard 5, as we had to turn around and go home shortly before arrival. We made an appointment for the day after next. Upon arrival, attempts to discuss and confirm cost were deflected, and in the end after the work was done, we were each charged the shop minimum, coming out to just shy of $200 for what could not have been more than 30 minutes all together of work from start to finish. After telling the employee about the arrangement I made with the owner, they called him, and he told them to charge us for three individual minimums. This was more than we could afford, and we would not have gotten all three if we knew he would not honor his word. This was an unethical bait and switch, and thought I loved the shop and the artists, I will not do business with such a dishonest owner. Beware and make sure you know and agree upon EXACTLY what you will pay before you get in the chair if you choose to come here. read more

yeah well this didn't go as planned.. came into the shop with an appointment set up. Told the gal who did my work what I wanted, Angel numbers 333. She told me to pick a font of what I wanted the 333 in. But the vibes were just super rushed and pressured to pick a font especially since they didn't have the type writer style I wanted. Settled for something basic since the fonts they offered were not up to my wants. The tattoo process didn't take long, 20 mins tops. So I was in and out of the shop in less than an hour. I couldn't gauge what the tattoo looked like with all the blood wrapped up but after i gave it time to heal I noticed that the 3's are all janked up. Ones noticeably thicker than the other, ones thinner than the other. Overall this is some lame amateur job for just tracing of numbers. I'm not satisfied at all. Boooo read more

Reached out to Mia because I saw her work on instagram and absolutely loved her detailed work and style! She was super responsive in asking what I wanted, if I had reference pictures, and other details to make sure I would get the ideal tattoo. I wanted a custom tattoo of a hydrangea with a phrase in Vietnamese that meant "love Mom" and Mia drew up the perfect one for me!! We stumbled across her beautiful artwork on Instagram and contacted her earlier in the year to discuss our ideas. Mia was extremely responsive and provided artwork mockups very quickly. Our appointments were unfortunately delayed several months due to the pandemic, but it was very easy to keep in contact & get rescheduled once the studio was able to open again. Mia's studio is bright & clean and easy to find as well as offering ample (free) street parking. There was a high attention to cleanliness and hygienic practices. I wish it was possible to leave zero stars on a review. I am beyond upset. I went to Mia who was extremely unprepared the day of my appointment. She didn't even have a smaller mirror for me to be able to view the placement of the stencil so I was battling with using my phone camera to get a proper stencil placement. I felt very rushed by her and felt like when making my requests it was a big burden to her. When the tattoo was complete she didn't even show me and rushed me to pay and leave. I had to be the one to ask her to take a picture of the tattoo so that I could see it. I left my appointment feeling very emotional and felt completely unseen and overall had a horrible experience. Tattoos should not be rushed because they are permanent!!! I didn't even feel comfortable having her touch it up. It has only been 6 days and the tattoo is very faded as you can see. When I reached out to her about it she didn't even acknowledge or apologize for my experience or the fact that I was upset and simply responded with "ok no problem. We can do the touch up" after I had stated that I didn't feel comfortable having her go over it considering how the first experience went. I DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE OR COMING TO HER. Find an artist that will actually listen to you and make you feel seen because at the end of the day, ink is permanent. I am hoping I can find an artist to fix up her poor work. I got a thin line tattoo from Amber. Less than a week later the tattoo was already showing signs of fading and parts of it were literally falling off. I was visiting Seattle from Portland for the thanksgiving holiday. A couple of my friends had been to this shop and had a great experience. When I noticed the fading, I asked if I could get a percentage refunded so that I can get a touch up elsewhere and they said no. I understand with fine line tattoos, I should expect fading but I wasn't expecting THIS much to the point where the tattoo is unrecognizable.
