Appointment only - though not hard to get - no frills salon. I needed a pedicure and got in same day. There as only one person working and she rotated between a friend and I. The pedicure was good, though for the price I wish there was more of a a calf massage or water/tea offered. My massage chair was broken. The location is convenient, street parking and the place looked clean. read more

I had to squeeze a manicure in for a wedding. No time for a pedicure though, darn it. The place looks like they painted the "Glamour Nails" sign on the side of the building 20+ years ago and never changed it. But the place is full of that 20+ year experience! Li did my cuticles, buffing (just lightly as requested) and cleaning excess polish off in ways I'd not seen. I did not want a gel but just an old style polish only manicure and all was done expertly and efficiently. Plus she was super sweet and helpful with color when I showed her a pic of my dress. 5 stars for sure! I always pay up front with a tip and set myself up to leave with keys out, purse on, nothing to mess my nails up. Competitive pricing and I'll be back when I'm in town! read more

Such an amazing hidden gem. 5/5 stars for both service and quality! I was in town for my sister in laws wedding, looking for a place to do nails for myself, the bride and 2 other family members. I found this by reading yelp reviews and hope I can persuade other yelp readers that this is truly a gem and to look no further!! I called in advance to reserve and they were soooo sweet allowing us to have the salon to ourselves for 3 hours. We all did dip nails and spa pedicures and they were so focused on ensuring we had a good time . 4 weeks later and my dip nails are still perfect!! Thank you for making sure we had such a nice time before the wedding and sooo glad to have found such quality by simply reading yelp reviews!! This is THE PLACE! I booked for myself and 3 of my girlfriends for dips and gel pedicures. The women were meticulous, yet fast - except for the foot and hand massages! My girlfriends kept thanking me for finding this place. It truly is a gem. Don't let the fact that it is located on Aurora deter you - this salon is top notch and affordable. Scheduling is done by phone (no option for online booking), but plenty of free street parking. One of my girlfriends is from Los Angeles and visiting for the summer and she was beyond impressed. It's hard to hit all the marks - friendly, clean, skilled, good massages...we will all be back! read more

Wow. I have lived next to this place for several years and never even noticed it. What a hidden gem. I have never had such a fantastic experience in nail salons, I tend to think they are better in my head than in real life. This time, my mom had come to visit, and we had been working super hard on a project, just over-tech'd and stressed out all week. First off: BEST MASSAGE CHAIR I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. That, in itself, was already worth coming. The Covid precautions were fantastic, and we were the only ones in this relatively small salon so it felt like one of those Real Housewives post-covid episodes where they have to rent out the entire restaurant. I loved it. Lee was my nail technician, and I had looked up some pictures of cute nail designs before hand. I asked if she would look at some of the pictures, and on the first one (the one I liked most) she got so excited! It made me wonder if this whole time I've been going to nail salons and getting plain solid paint that I've been boring them. Let me tell you, the veracity of this woman. She came up with her own things to add to the design to make it better. She helped me choose colors she thought would work together, since I told her I wasn't too attached. Also - I HAVE NEVER HAD A HARDER TIME PICKING A NAIL COLOR. They have fantastic colors here. I feel like it took me 15 minutes to choose. My mom decided to treat me to the Super Deluxe Treatment, I don't know exactly what it was called, but it was hot stones, a super duper amazing massage -- they were laughing at me almost falling asleep, I was so relaxed, parafin wax treatment that felt like a hug on my feet, and all the while the massage chair was doing it's thing. I was so relaxed. Incredible considering where I was earlier that day. This AMAZING WOMAN, Lee, she was focusing so intently on my nails doing the delicate lines with a detail brush, when she took me over to the manicure table she put on her glasses and crawled on the floor to give me the top coat because she was so proud of her work. First she did it without glasses and then she put on her glasses to make sure it was up to her standard. I really felt like a canvas she was making a painting on. LEE YOU ARE THE BEST, I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW HAPPY MY NAILS ARE MAKING ME. Anyway, she laughed at my hand dinosaur and all my stupid jokes and she talked to me as much as she could through her intense focus. I was so impressed. I felt so spoiled. I love her. I'm coming back as much as I can afford, and I made sure to take a lot of pictures so you guys know what you're missing. This place is a hidden gem. You'd never expect to find complete peace on Aurora, unless you're into certain illegal things, but damn if this place doesn't do it. 10/5 stars. Incredible experience. Okay, it's decided -- I've found my nail salon in Seattle! I'm so excited to have found Glamour Nails and listened to other Yelpers about how great the services are here! I made an appointment for 1pm but showed up slighter earlier, and was easily accommodated (even though I wasn't expecting to be!) My technician, Lee, was absolutely wonderful, thorough, and welcoming. This was my first experience with dip powder manicures, and I have to say, I think I'm hooked! The process is a bit lengthier, but as I mentioned, Lee was absolutely detailed in her work and did not rush through my manicure. I was impressed with her level of professionalism and attention to every detail, and I am so happy that she was my technician for my first experience. The ambiance here is great as well -- I'm a big fan of the music they play in here, and the vibe is just cheerful and positive overall. All of the ladies who work here are very kind, welcoming, and seemed to make every client feel special. amazing work! I came in on a really rainy day and it was empty! i always pass by this place and their seats are filled usually so i was pleasantly surprised. The person that did my manicure was amazing, she made my nails look so beautiful. And the hand massage was so relaxing! I work in the food industry and am constantly washing and sanitizing my hands so the cuticle gets so dry and she cut it with care and precision wish i couldve taken a pic of how it looked before but this is the end result. i feel so fancy with my well groomed nails now. read more

I thought I was about to get great nails because of the reviews and how ridiculously long it took her to do my nails. My pedicure was fine but my powder dip manicure took over two hours and it's hideous. Pictured is what I asked for and what I got. Perfect timing too since this is JUST before thanksgiving and my two work trips before the end of the month. This is the worst manicure I've ever gotten. I'm especially upset because she convinced me to get powder over acrylic. read more

Shellac is now $27 :( *** $25 for shellac! You literally can't beat this! I've been seeing Lee religiously for over a year now. I am very picky and she does such a great job by paying close attention to the details. wit. My shellac lasts me roughly 3 weeks! Sophia, the owner, is a doll and makes the atmosphere fun and enjoyable! The only downside to this place is the speed of service. My shellac normally takes an hour, but the work speaks for itself. So if you're not in a hurry, it's excellent!! Pro tip: they have a stamp card - come in 5 times and the 6th visit is $10 off! read more

This is a lovely little space - the ladies there Sophia,Li and the third lady are all very efficient, sweet and do a good job. This place is really sanitary and my polish always lasts long. My feet and hands always feel cleaner and well taken care of. They seem to have overcome some of their scheduling issues and are able to keep appointments while managing walk in regulars which good for them as they need breaks too. I usually get a manicure and pedicure when i go here and stick with the regular. They do have special add ons and my husband always gets the paraffin wax wrap for extra moisturizing. For special occasions i get shellac manicures as well. I don't prefer these as they are more damaging to the nail when you soak them off and you have to fo to a salon to take them off versus doing it yourself. This is the only hard part- getting an appointment to take off shellac as they do get booked far in advance for weekend slots. Its busy, you need an appointment and parking can sometimes be hard as there are many restaurants nearby. However these ladies are hardworking and do a great job, so is still wait and come back to them versus going somewhere else . read more

Finally posting (I've been traveling). I went in on Saturday 12/28 to get my nails done for NYE with a couple of photos and a vision of "Gatsby Nails." After all I was heading to NY for a Roaring 20's Party so they needed to look the most extra. I couldn't of been more impressed with the job that was done! She took my ideas and elevated the look I was going for with her own suggestions and the work looked phenomenal. To start off this is going to be my new nail spot!!! The time and care when they do your nails shows that they genuinely care about their work and their customers happiness . I went in and had old polish removed & got dip powder nails! It took about two hours. (so come in when you really have time to take your time ) The woman doing my nails was very sweet ! I have terrible cuticles and she really took the time to clean them up and shape my nails to perfection. She even put some cuticle stuff on my fingers after she was done to ensure healthy grow ! I was super comfy even though I am super stiff with my hands when I get a manicure but the woman was very patient and sweet with me and another woman even got a pillow for my back while I was getting my nails done ! They truly take their time and care about their clients being comfortable and the prices are very reasonable for what you get!! Definitely a 10/10! read more

This review is long overdue! My roommate and I lived close by and stumbled upon Glamour Nails when they first opened, and have never gone anywhere else in those 3ish years! I recommend coming here when you don't have anything else going on afterward. There is street parking and a small parking lot for their clients, too, and I have never had an issue finding a spot. The women here take great care with each client and truly want you to enjoy your time with them, so they do not rush through any of their services. I typically get a shellac manicure and regular pedicure and I'm usually there for about 1.5 - 2 hours but it's SO worth it. The massages during their pedicures are heavenly and I love that they only have relaxing music playing; no TV's or other loud, obnoxious distractions. I remember visiting another nail salon in Wallingford years ago that had TV's all over the place and was SO loud/chaotic that I left even more stressed out than when I arrived. Whenever I get a shellac manicure it lasts over 2 weeks with zero chipping or other imperfections. It's $27 for a shellac manicure and their pedicures range in price (I'd recommend the pedicure with that comes with oil and hot stones, it's about $35 and worth EVERY penny). I always tip at least 20% because they women are so kind, so hard working, and they all commute in from Everett 6 days a week. The punchcards are awesome, too, super rare for nail places in Seattle to offer anything like this. read more

I cannot say enough about Sophia and this nail salon. Let me start with saying that Shellac is so hard on your natural nails and if you want anything that lasts, it has always been the best option. But with longer nails, it can make them dry and brittle over time. In comes dipping powder, there is no over sanding of your natural nails and it keeps them strong and healthy. Unfortunately, most places you end up with fake looking nails and I can't stand that. Sophia is absolutely wonderful and so sweet. I will be making this my new nail spot! Love my nails! read more

Wow! I am so excited this place is so close to me. I've started doing the dip nails, and have gotten varying degrees of thickness and experiences. I decided to come here, and can I just say these women were kind, thorough, and really good! I made an appointment day of, and was immediately seated. I was worried about time, and one of the other women in the salon said, if you just let them know when you need to go they'll make sure to take care of you--and they did. Super nice customers, chill music, and beautiful nails. I love, love, love how my nails turned out. I'll be back for sure. read more

I couldn't ever want to give them a star. I paid $90 for a FILL IN and the next day barely tapped my nail at work and it immediately cracked. I paid for solar shellac and got a design and matte. The nail broke on impact and they charged me $20 to fix TWO NAILS, only TWO DAYS after getting them done. Where as Majestic only charged me $65 for my hands AND feet and wayyyyh better quality nails. You babies are WASTING your money. read more

Came here Friday and had one of the worst experiences. Made an appointment for 6. My pedicure/ manicure started 45 late. The ladies were nice enough and my toes came our okay. She spent probably 20 min on my toes. I paid extra for peppermint oil but she barely scrubbed the bottom of my feet or anything. My manicure on the other hand was terrible. She didn't even put top coat on the entire thing and it chipped 2 hours later. Will not be going back. read more

This is one of those places you don't want to review because you don't want other people to know about your hidden gem! After moving away from Seattle this month, I decided I owe it to Sophia (the owner) and her amazing team to leave a review! Glamour nails is not impressive from the exterior but it is the best manicure you will find in the Seattle area hands down and for the most reasonable price. My only tip for potential customers would be to bring time! A shellac or SNS manicure will take almost two hours but it is SO worth it. The attention to detail is incredible. Sophia is also just the kindest and I miss my regular nail spot already! read more

I had to wait a while because I went there during a busy time. Worth it because the price was right and they cleaned up my nails really well. A couple places I've been to this year didn't even bother cutting my cuticles and cleaning my nail bed AND they charged more. Will go back and keep getting shellac manicures. Can't wait to see how my nails grow doing this vs. acrylics with gel manicures! Oh, and they massage your fingers and forearms. read more

I'm not the kind of person that makes an appointment 6 weeks in advance. I tend to call a salon the day before or day of service so I was happy to see they could do that. When I arrived, there were clear markings for COVID safety and seats near the door to wait. Sanitizer was readily available and they also use plastic guards at all stations. I had a chance to watch their cleaning protocols as well and I felt very safe. The selection of dipping powder is extensive but I stick to gel on my natural nails. I was particularly impressed by their cat eye selection (which I tend to use during winter months). For the spring, I chose one of the many sparkly colors available. They started my manicure while I was in the pedicure chair and later moved me to the table when my pedicure was done. Cuticles are my mortal enemy and they did a good job of cleaning them up and trimming my way-too-long nails. I liked that they asked a lot of questions about how I liked my nails done since it was my first time there. The pedicure was the star of the show. The best manicurists almost never do pedicures so I have a hard time finding a salon that does both well. I haven't had a pedicure in a while and have trouble with ingrown toenails. I was educated about what was going on with my toes and how we could work to get them healthier over the next few months. They took extremely good care of my toes from cuticles to re-shaping to my sandpaper-like heels. This is my new "go to" place for pedicures! Overall, service was very friendly. The cost of my visit before tip was $65 - deal! The spacing was good and they followed COVID occupancy standards. I'll be coming back for my manicures while my regular person is on leave and will definitely be getting pedicures here in the future!

I'm sad because I really like this place.

Some areas of sanding got very hot and painful. There were not any swatches in order for me to pick the color of dip powder I wanted. I was just shown a huge basket of dip powder containers. I picked what I thought was a purple, but because there was not any swatches for me to view and dip powder changes so much once applied it actually is more of a brown, which is disappointing. The technician did a fine job applying the dip and shaping/sanding. However, she did not fully dust off all the nail dust before applying the top coat. So now I have dust marks under my top coat. The positive is the technician was nice and did a good job shaping my nails. The place was mostly clean, however, the files and tools used were not single use and we're noticeably dirty from previous use (aga. Unfortunately I won't be returning.
