This has been my go-to nail salon for years. I absolutely love how kind, caring, and clean they are. (Pro tip: make sure you make an appointment ahead of time! After moving back from California, I was sad there was a lack of decent salons in Seattle area. My cousin recommended this place and I was happy with the decent reviews and they had same day appointments available on a Saturday. This is by far the best nail salon in Seattle. Ann and her staff are so sweet and talented. I am very picky when it comes to my nails. My nails are always perfect when I leave. My shellac does not chip for 2-3 weeks in comparison to one week at other salons. They typically do not take walk ins. I love this because they are always on time and you never have to wait. If your appointment is at 3:00, you will be seated at 3:00, if not earlier. They have ever color imaginable and always help me pick the perfect color. They always check to see if you like the color after they paint one nail. If you do not like it they are more than willing to let you pick new color. They will even suggest a few new ones. The salon is very clean. I have been coming here for 5 years and dread the day I move out of the city and have to find a new salon. These ladies will not let you down! Ann suggested the most beautiful color combo for my engagement photos. She knows I love OPIs It's a Girl and suggested I do two coats and one coat of In the Bare to mute it a little bit. I was in the area all day so had look up a couple places and found this place, called and spoke with Ann who was friendly and was able to get me in same day. I was very indecisive of what I wanted so she told me I can decided when I get there. At my appointment time, they check temps, everyone was mask and the staff had an extra shield, they had ask everyone to put their items in a cute basket that's is near you which I think is a great idea. First, they have a large nail polish selection. They also have about 8 pedicure chairs and 8 manicure stations. The place was busy when I went, so I recommend making a reservation. I luckily walked in, but it got busy while I was there. I tend to get ingrown toenails, and my lady spent. A lot of time getting the dead skin around the ingrown toenail out, and it feels much better! Prices are reasonable! It is $20 for a pedicure that includes the callous removal which usually costs extra, elsewhere. The only thing that I couldn't see that I like to see is how they sanitize the tools. I like autoclaved tools, and they didn't open them from a pack. I will be back for another pedicure! read more

I've been dissatisfied with the last couple of shellac manis I've gotten at my usual salon and I walk by this place all the time, so decided to try it to see if it was any better. They usually seem busy which seemed like a good sign. I didn't know they didn't take walk-ins until coming to the Yelp page to write a review, but they actually did take me as a walk-in with about a 15 minute wait. A shellac mani and regular pedi were $15 more than what I pay at my usual place, so I was expecting something a lot better than what I usually get. It turned out to be more or less the same quality, and in some ways worse: - No massage with mani or pedi. - Instead of doing my mani in the spa chair where my feet were done, I was made to walk across the dirty floor in my bare feet to a mani station. At least help me get my flip flops on or something? - My right hand got one more coat of polish than my left, so the color doesn't match. - Unnecessary/rude commentary from the nail tech about the length of my nails. - No offer to remove calluses on my feet (I always do this add-on when I need to). One plus is that they had way more shellac polish options than my usual spot. On the downside though, the options were so disorganized that I'm sure I didn't see them all. There are like hundreds of them that are just thrown in a giant bin they put in your lap. Regret cheating on my usual spot. Fewer polish options there, but same quality without having to walk anywhere in bare feet, massages that are at least several minutes long, and $15 is a pretty big difference in price. I'd pay it for markedly better service, but they don't provide that here. As a side note, shortly after I was sat as a walk-in, an African-American woman tried to get a walk-in appointment and was denied. I have no idea whether or not it was racially motivated, but I noticed it at the time and it did rub me the wrong way. EDITED TO ADD: My review as above is as originally posted. I will not change it. I stated facts, as I witnessed them. I did not accuse anyone of being racist, and specifically said that I had no idea whether or not a decision to take a certain walk-in was racially motivated. But did it make me uncomfortable? YES. Should I lie about it? The owner and one of her cuckoo bananas regulars who is now attempting to harass me sure think so. 2 more reasons to avoid this business, I guess. EDITED x2 because the owner keeps changing her response and I keep getting the annoying notifications: Ann, please read next time before responding. I did not accuse you of harassment, just like I did not accuse you of racism (remember when you said that I did, before you changed your response?). One of your nutjob customers contacted me both via private message and via the "compliment" feature telling me I need to change or remove my review. It sounded like a threat. Your customer, who I've never seen before in my life, is harassing me, which is what I said. Read it again, as slowly as you need to. What you did, instead of apologizing, was to call basic facts "out of line," like I'm supposed to lie about what I saw, heard, and experienced. Do you really think this is the best way to go when someone has a negative experience at your business? Now that I look at your prior reviews, I'm hardly the first. This is the worst PR I've ever seen in my life, but feel free to keep digging yourself a deeper hole. It's certainly not my problem. Down from 2 stars to 1, because this is total insanity that wouldn't have been worth the best mani/pedi in the universe, which is clearly not what was provided in the first place. I'm not sure why you care so much about my opinion when you have regulars so rabid that they're willing to harass total strangers on your behalf. My fiancé came once for a dip powder and had a couple slightly chip in the first week but thought it was an outlier so she brought me the next she time went (I get clear dip because I bite my nails) and hers chipped again on the 5th day even after mentioning they chipped the last time. We've both had dip for a few years now and mine usually last for like 10-14 days because of my habit, but definitely not 4 days --- and hers have always lasted for nearly a month. The lady doing my nails seemed a little distracted and kept looking out of the window but then again, I'm here on a Saturday at 5.30PM (with no appointment - but they let me get my pedi since their appointment was late/no show) and the store closes at 6PM It was unfortunate when I found they don't do gel pedis since I find that regular nail color doesn't last too long on my feet. I'm really clueless when it comes to nail salons. I've had a manicure once ages ago, in a Walmart nail salon, which should be all you need to know. I went into Number One Pro Nails planning to get acrylics. I've never had them, but I liked that they seem to last long and they look so pretty and perfect. As soon as I put my hands up on the table, Ann and the customer sitting next to me said how nice my natural nails are and quickly convinced me to try shellac instead. I decided to give it a go. She did a lovely job with a dark blue French tip. She asked me several times if I liked it and if there was anything I wanted her to fix or change. I noticed she recognizes her return clients and asks specific questions about how things are going with them.
