Very nice new place. Nice ambiance with relaxing music. Friendly staff that are good at foot massages. My pedicure turned out beautifully!

Wish this place was better but my gel manicure chipped and peeled off in 3 days! Pretty shocked and disappointed.

Melissa G was my aesthetician and the appointment started off great, although she didn't ask me how I like my brows done before starting, which is unusual. However, after 45 minutes or so I noticed she wasn't changing her gloves and they were getting really sticky with wax residue, so every time she'd touch me I'd get stickier too - the paper cover on the table underneath me was starting to come off stuck to me in shreds. After she adjusted the position of the wax table, including unplugging and replugging the wax warmer cord with her gloves still on, I politely asked her if she could change her gloves before continuing, and she said sure, she would if she *had* some (?!?!). Guess what, friends - there was only one more glove in the whole store in her size, and all the others were much much too small to fit her. I'm not sure how gloves don't get routinely restocked in a waxing salon, and I'm not sure how Melissa thought it would be ok to perform a nearly full-body wax appointment with one and a half pairs of gloves, when typically in my experience gloves get changed pretty often during a wax -- if she had welcomed me to my appointment and said, I'm so sorry, I realized I'm out of gloves, do you mind waiting 10 minutes while I run to the Bartell's LESS THAN TWO BLOCKS AWAY and grab a box, I would have been happy to wait AND would have been grateful for the emphasis on hygiene practices. I don't even want to think about the germs that got cross-contaminated onto my raw exfoliated skin from that one pair of gloves touching everything in the room. Never again will I book here.

I have worked with a lot of estheticians and CeCe is the best. As a yoga teacher, and graphic artist, I love the way she can take the best ayurveda techniques and get me the best modern day beauty results. I use her Honey Om Coffee Scrub religiously. I feel like a brand new baby every time I get out of the shower! She recently did my eyelash extensions. I have never felt so beautiful and glamorous first thing AM. Sooo good. If you just want to be pampered, feel sexy, need health advice, or need a little pick me up call Ceanna! She is sooo knowledgable in traditional Ayurveda remedies and nutrition to make u feel awesome, and her facials skills are the bomb! She is the one stop shop for feeling organic, heeled, and beautiful from the inside out! #thebest #thepeffectlashes #honeyom #therapy #feedyoursoul #health #fashion #love #loveyourself

After my last review I received emails from Ceanna accusing me that I am trying to hurt the company…read morewith my negative review and also threatening me to inform the community, I don't know which community she was talking about. She also asked me to REMOVE my review. And all this happened from 3.30 AM to 5 AM, yes early morning 3.30, the same person who didn't have time earlier to reply to my emails in the daytime. And when I told her that it's surprising that she had the time to send emails at 3.30 AM, she said that she can email at any hour suitable to her. Really? No, you cannot do that, you cannot disturb someone at 3.30 am. I couldn't sleep at all that night and it was really a horrible experience for me and I wish no one goes through something like this, that too just for a facial. Taylor Preston, the owner of Estrella Salon contacted me the next day, I had got waxing done from her in November 2014. Taylor apologized after reading Ceanna's emails and offered to give me a facial with 50% discount. You can read the whole thing below: According to Ceanna, my cancellations have interrupted her ongoing clients, but I don't know how she is accusing me for the July cancellation when she herself was not in Seattle from June to August 17th. And if she was busy she could have told me the very first day that she cannot accept new clients. She said just because she cancelled on me I shouldn't have taken it so personally and acted upon something so minor. And it doesn't warrant my emotional reactions to lash out at her business even if I got to know about the cancellation only after I inquired about my appointment. "Being informed is being informed", these were her words, and because I never received any service from her I can't write about my experience. So, in short a customer cannot be busy because they don't have any other work in their life other than getting a facial and they can't write about an experience before the actual service. She also told me that since she had OFFERED me a recommendation even when she has never met me so it was EXCELLENT customer service, yes she wrote those words in UPPER CASE. And that I never responded to this offer and that she can no longer offer me that recommendation. I mean, really? After living in Seattle for a year does anybody need recommendations? Her language clearly shows that she felt she was doing me a big favor with the RECOMMENDATION and that without her recommendation I can't find another esthetician. I felt like laughing because I have already received facials from 3 different estheticians in Seattle and they are all awesome, but I wanted something in walking distance from my apartment so I contacted her but now I really regret it. I really couldn't believe that I received emails with such language and few words in UPPER CASE and that too between 3.30 AM-5.30 AM. Are customers so unimportant that they should be obliged or scared to write about their negative experience?? This whole thing could have been handled maturely, rather than accusing and threatening a customer.

She explained everything step-by-step throughout the process, which I really appreciated. I came in with a Groupon for a cut and balayage, and will absolutely be back off Groupon. The vibe in the salon is fantastic -- super welcoming with great attitudes all around. And best of all... I absolutely LOVE my hair! Earl exceeded my expectations. I even got to chat with owner Lisa, who was styling someone next to me. You can tell she knows her craft very well and is also educating the stylists. Highly recommend!

No one told me she was running late, so I sat there for 40 minutes with zero communication about what was going on. When I finally got in the chair, she gave me the worst haircut of my life. I brought inspiration photos for a cute, simple cut. Honestly my hair already looked close to the photo, I just needed my layers trimmed. Instead I walked out with nonconsensual mullet. I wanted to cry when I saw it. It's been months and it still hasn't grown out. I went to a wedding and people thought I was wearing a WIG. That's how bad it is. My self esteem has taken a real hit over this. This is genuinely one of those horror stories friends swap at brunch. Went in for a trim, left with a literal mullet. And a note for the owner: just because we're in Seattle doesn't mean everyone walking in wants some edgy alternative cut. I did try to handle this privately first. I reached out to the owner to fix it and got completely ghosted. I was ready to lick my wounds and move on, until I opened my email to find an announcement that this same stylist was back from vacation and I should book with her. Obviously a mass email to the whole list, but after being ignored, it felt like a slap in the face. So here we are, doing this publicly. I'm posting photos so you can see how wild this is. The bottom photo is the cut I asked for, the top is what I actually got, plus a shot of my hair a month later.
