Finally found an awesome nail salon without attitude & plenty of great services. Perfect nails exactly what I ask for every time!

Awesome place. Very clean. The cutest nail salon chair ever! Other yelpers are right. They don't rush you or their work. My toes felt loved :) Very friendly staff and super sweet. No screaming noticed here at all. read more

I made an appointment to get a fill. Showed up and was told they didn't have time.. mind you it was 10:00am... this was a few weeks ago. Yesterday I went in because it was the only place close by and I only had a little time. I went in and paid $75 for the WORST nails IVE EVER HAD. They weren't shaped... polish wasn't done nicely and to top this off they literally all broke in a day! Today I went back and they did a new set, she cut my finger so bad the whole experience was painful! My nails still looked awful and now I have to go home and spend an hour filing them so they look half way decent. Do not come here. read more

Came here for a pedicure and it was a positive experience. The pedi turned out great and the service was pleasant. The only qualms are that (1) I couldn't find any reds with shimmer/glitter, which I love with pedis (2) it was hard to understand their questions to me during the pedi. Otherwise, I enjoyed the experience and would probably come here again. read more

A co-worker and I popped in here for lunchtime manicures, but we were underwhelmed. The place had decent reviews and was very clean, but we've definitely had better manicures. The girl who did my co-worker's nails seemed distracted and totally messed up her polish, and I ended up removing my polish two days later because it chipped so badly and looked terrible. Save your $15 and go elsewhere. read more

Several months ago I stopped by for a quick $12 eyebrow wax. It wasn't a very memorable experience, but I remember thinking it was a pretty good visit... and I was thankful they were able to get me in right away (with no appointment). I will probably visit them again if I happen to be in the area when I have some free time and need my eyebrows fixed (again). read more

This place is super close to my office so it was a no-brainer to go here when I had a free moment - which today was my second time. I only get a pedicure with shellac and hands down this place has the longest lasting shellac I've gotten anywhere...including the upscale $80 salons. That means they are going to be my #1 go-to for my toes going forward as I just don't have the time to keep going to get a refresh. The ladies have been sweet and courteous, and always make sure to get the straggling out of the lines color so that it looks perfect each time which is a huge pet peeve of mine. All in all I'm glad I found this place! read more

This review is kind of hard to write because my experience wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing. It was just A-OK! My man told me to treat myself to whatever mani/pedi/massage-ness I wanted at Ocean Nail & Spa, and he would pay. Yesssssssss. Melikey. So I opted for a full mani/pedi package with all the bells and whistles. My first impression was that communication was tough and I felt really, really rushed. I was immediately ushered over to the giant nail polish wall where a bunch of stuff was said to me that I didn't understand. I came to the conclusion that I was supposed pick a color. But I had to keep saying I wanted regular polish on my toes and gel on my fingers before it felt like someone understood me. After the nail polish wall I was ushered over to the pedicure chair while two women tried to help me get settled in. I think their hearts were in the right place, but I just felt really rushed. I was then presented with all the gel color samples, so I thought I had some time to chill while I looked. Nope. While my feet were barely started, I had another woman rushing my decision on nail polish so she would start soaking my hands. It was really slow in the shop, so I'm not entirely sure what the rush was, but when you signed up for a relaxing experience, that's not ideal. After my nail soak, I was allowed to have my hands back so I could relax for a little bit during the rest of my pedicure. But then the worst thing happened--the lady from the front desk came back and turned my massage chair on. I don't know what setting she put it on, but holy hell it hurt so bad. Furthermore I felt pretty bad for the lady trying to carefully paint my toenails while I'm getting thrown around like a rag doll in this massage chair. LOL. The pedicure itself was great! Just minus the massage chair--and the mani while I was pedi-ing (if that makes sense). Then the manicure was A-OK. Not the best I've had. I left with a bloody cuticle and the paint job could have been better. It wasn't horrible, just wasn't great. And just a note on the rushing... my nail polish wasn't even dry enough for me to leave yet and they threw some plastic wrap with oil on them so I could put shoes on. Every other mani/pedi I've had has been timed so that all nails are dry before I left. The price was about $60 for the whole kabang. Which isn't half bad. But it was far from a perfect experience. I would come back for a gel manicure if the place I prefer down the street didn't have immediate availability. But otherwise, I'll probably pass. read more

Super friendly and good customer service! I just wasn't so happy with the job they did. She free hands French shellac as opposed to using a brush with acetone to make the line perfect. Impressive but doesn't have the desired outcome. I'll probably give them another shot though. read more

UPDATE: Was told I could get a refund I just need to come in when available by the manager... get there and am told no refunds and was basically called a liar when I had proof of phone calls, photos of my nails... I will never EVER step foot into this establishment ever again. As I was talking to the manager the employees were peaking over and laughing as I'm stating my frustrations. I came in twice and had them "fix" the same exact nails and More! Don't go there it's not worth it and that was very unprofessional read more

Not the best in the area... the lady I had today was very nice but super slow paced which made me late for another appointment. Normally it doesn't take more than an hour for a fill so I had planned accordingly but unfortunately timing just didn't work out. I wouldn't have been upset with how long it took, if the work was good... but the nails were uneven and sloppy when it came to paint. If I'm in an absolute pinch and unable to get in anywhere else, I may come back to this place, but it would be a last resort if I do. read more

I was a little hesitant to come here based on the reviews but I had a great experience. I was quickly seated for my gel manicure and pedicure and had very sweet technicians. My pedicure was done well, no pain, and the massage chair felt great. For my manicure I did a half moon gel main and it came out great. Both nail techs were very gentle, through and skilled. I will come back again if I am ever in Seattle read more

I've been debating on writing a review for them, but after my last visit I decided it was time. I've been going here for a couple months. My first visit was great. As I kept going I noticed that the nail work that I was getting done was getting worse and worse. I'm not sure if it's because I'm young and come here often that my service doesn't matter but I definitely don't see myself going back. The last visit that I went to my boyfriend was about to pay and the main lady had said "you don't have 10 bucks in cash?" In a very angry voice. Why does it matter if we pay with cash or card? read more

They took me as a walk-in, no wait, on a weekday afternoon at 4pm. The mani/pedi was fine, not outstanding. My complaint: I was quoted $40 and then charged $50 and they wouldn't back down after I reminded them they had told me it was less. read more

I live right down the street & I'm so glad they are here. Great gel manicure that last forever - for a good price. Nothing fancy but clean & friendly. I've never had a bad experience. If you have extra time & they aren't busy get a chair massage! Nice! I get mani every 2 weeks and pedi once a month. I'm a regular and I'm also very picky. Don't try and chat - no English. Read one of the many magazines and relax. read more

I arrived at Ocean's Nails today, tempted by being off my feet after a long day at work and the "Walk-Ins Welcome!" text on the door. I stated that I was hoping to get a standard medi-pedi, and then asked if I had an appointment. When I said no, a woman who was getting a pedicure tutted and said to her nail stylist "well isn't it annoying?" - to which I almost just left in response. I was beckoned in to pick a color, though, and decided to give the store a chance. Partway through my pedicure, a woman walked in who turned out to be late for an appointment - which I guess the nail salon had slotted me into instead. She was pretty upset about being told that she would have to wait about half an hour before getting her pedicure because she was late, and as a result the rest of my pedicure was very rushed. Then I had to wait for the woman who was late to her appointment to get a pedicure before getting my manicure - and was consequently sitting around just writing this review for about an hour. When I realized that they were also going to do her manicure before mine as well, I made a judgment call to just pay for my pedicure and leave. I can see that the women who work here are very pleasant and try hard to make sure that everything runs smoothly, so I am loathe to leave a bad review but my experience was far from pleasant. If you come here, I would strongly suggest making an appointment first, and not being a minute late for it. If you come through as a walk-in, be prepared for your services to take a while. read more

I get my nails done fairly frequently, so I can give a pretty honest opinion of Ocean Nails. It's very clean, they have a lot of current magazines, and the women are nice. My pedicure was pretty good, but I have to say that my Shellac manicure was quite terrible. I think the main problem is that they did not have the right UV machine (they used the regular nail drying one). The UV machine unfortunately did not dry the Shellac properly, and she put the alcohol on too soon so my nails are not shiny at all. Plus, since the UV machine was not the correct one, I had to keep my hands under the machine pretty much the whole time which ended up burning my skin. (usually it's just 2min after each coat) Lastly, the polish job and massage was pretty lackluster . It's cheap $35 for mani/pedi and an extra $15 for Shellac. The salon is clean, nicely decorated, and has good magazines, but it's your run of the mill nail salon. I would go back, but definitely not for Shellac. read more

I've been here a few times as I live downtown and it's an easy walk. It's acceptable service unless they get walk ins... They rush you through. Didn't even leave me under the gel lights the entire time, yep, polish chipped in 3 days. Think I will find a place that respects my time and hard earned money. read more

I have been to this place now at least 15 times and it's always been a great experience. The staff is really friendly and do their best to make me comfortable, and they are funny too! The quality of my manis and pedis is exactly what I expect for the price, and I think the prices are great. I've mostly gone on weekends and never have an appointment, and I've never had an issue getting in right away (longest I've waited is like 10 minutes). read more

I found this place through Yelp and chose it based on location and the fact that they were open a bit later on a Sunday night. The place is huge and very clean. I walked right in and got a manicure - I was the only customer for most of the time. I brought my own polish (Essie brand) so I don't know whose fault it is, but my nails started chipping within 24 hours. Now, 48 hours later, I have to remove the polish entirely. Very disappointing. And I wasn't doing anything crazy that would have caused them to chip - eat, sleep, sit on a plane for 4 hours, that's about it. Next time I'm in Seattle and need a manicure, I'll probably try another place. They were very nice here, just not good quality work. read more

I have only come here for a brow/lip wax but every time they get me in right away (as a walk in) and are very friendly. In the past I have worried that maybe the person waxing me was moving too quickly and that they were going to mess up but then I realized they just know what they are doing and are being efficient because my brows have turned out great every time. Brow and lip wax only costs $20! Great price for downtown Seattle. read more

This place is really clean and nice. The furniture, decor, and set up of the nail salon is modern and tasteful. I love the high ceilings and how there is a large open space in the middle of the venue. It makes for a very relaxing and tranquil atmosphere. They have big selection of OPI nail polish and their service was friendly. Prices are fair and definitely worth the cleanliness. They could definitely work on their phone etiquette. The woman who answered the phone to schedule my appointment was a bit pushy. That all changed though, when she sat down with me to do my nails. She was very nice and careful with her work. Great find on Yelp for a last minute manicure! read more

I just came back from there, asked for a polish change. they charged me $10 for it before tip, almost double what most places charge. I had to keep asking the lady to put more polish remover on the cotton - she was trying to remove polish with dry cotton and it was just smearing, making a mess everywhere. I also had to keep asking her to get the polish off from under my nails, and really watch her while she was putting the new polish on or she would have missed a lot of spots. She seemed nice enough but for the amount of effort I had to put in to get a good result, I doubt I'll be back. read more

2 of the 3 stars are because of location. I work 2 blocks away so ocean spa is very convenient. I typically come here to have my shellac removed and replaced, and they do an acceptable job. The problem is with the consistency in who is actually doing it. Sometime of them are better and some are just not good and rush through the job. read more

I was skeptical to try this place because of all the bad reviews, but they are literally 50 feet away from my building so I gave them a shot, and am so glad that I did!!! Came here the other day to get acrylic nails, they were nice when I was there. However the lady cut me several times both with a regular nail file and drill file. One of the cuts was especially deep and wouldn't stop bleeding even though she tried to stop it. It kept bleeding for about an hour. After leaving and seeing how serious the cuts were I called to ask for a refund, she told me to come back in. The next day I came back in to try and get my money back and the lady said she couldn't and kept rambling on so I would leave. I ended up getting 50% of my money back. I won't be coming back because of how bad the cuts and customer service were. read more

I work as a flight attendant, so I travel a lot, and get my nails done all over the US. This is my all time favorite place to get my nails done. The pricing can not be beat. I always get pedicures here because they have different packages to choose from, all are a great value. I have never walked out of this salon unhappy. Management does an excellent job of ensuring a quality service. Often times an employee will be painting my toes and the manager will walk over and make sure she's doing a great job. Excellent customer service. They go above and beyond. Salon is clean and nicely decorated. My only complaint is the tv they have cuts in and out. New to the area? Delightful. After two visits, I am hooked. The Deluxe pedicure is a serious value with parrafin dip, hot stone massage and tons of personal attention for your footsies. They also take walk in appointments and let you pay with a card = super convenient. Friendly service and quality work. Clean, with good selection of polish and cozy massage chairs. Totally hooked. You might experience a longer than normal wait if you visit on a Friday afternoon without an appointment (I have) but the quality and price makes this place worth it. Mondays are now my go-to since the place is slower and they can give you more attention. read more

I use to like it here. They were nice and easy to get in. Good quality too. A year has passed and I moved into a new office near Pike. We made an appt today at 5:30pm. We arrived at 5:41pm and the woman said we were 15 mins late. I told her we were only 11mins... And now 12 mins late as items 5:42pm. She again said I should call if I'm 15mins late. She already gave out appts away and pointed to a woman getting already scrubbed in her chair. I wonder how long she's been receiving her service? Hmm ? I noticed that every chair was full and people were waiting in that lobby as well. Seems that since the city has grown and their small little cute shop Is now a busy little shop, they have had to sacrifice the quality of service regardless of if you were a long time client or not. Side note-traffic was bad and I thought about calling but I've been 10mins late before and had no issues. Would have been nice to get a phone call if they did decide to cancel on me. Or maybe even state they now have a new strict policy? Seems that since the city has grown and read more

I'll def come back! We stayed at the four seasons hotel and the concierge recommended I come to this place after finding out that the hotel spa was fully booked! I had toe nails chop and break so of course I wanted them fixed ASAP. I walked in and was instantly greeted with smiles and hellos! The lady was so sweet and helpful. After looking at my nail color to see if they could salvage the two messed up nails we decide it was best to get them all removed. The lady who did my nails was super gentle and they helped me select a great color for the holidays. I def recommend this walk in only nail salon! They did a fantastic and quick job! read more

No appointment, was just a walk in for a pedicure. They sat me in a chair right away and I waited just five minutes. Very clean and pleasant environment. Very nice staff. The chairs are nice and comfortable. Just two Pedicure options to choose from (for guys anyway). I chose the most expensive one, which was $45 before any tip. She did a good job. Good work on my calluses and toe nails. Nice massage followed up by foot mask and then a hot stone massage. Pedicure lasted right at 45 minutes. The only thing I didn't like about my experience is you don't have access to the chair remote. It's taped down to the chair itself and you can hardly reach it. The staff makes all the chair adjustments for you. Accepts credit card. read more

Iam going to be generous and give this place 4 star's for service and 3 stars for decor Decor: place looks old and could probably use a freshen up. New chairs would go along way. They kept it decently clean Service: I was seen right away as a walk in. Due to looking at previous reviews I was dubious about service but desperate for a pedicure. The nail tech did a good job on my gel pedicure. Definately a language barrier or she just didn't even try to speak to me just used hand signals. The only words spoken was "shorter?" Which I assumed was cutting my nails short. I had to ask for a longer scrub when she was scrubbing my callouses with the pumice stone. A couple swipes is not going to cut it!! I needed elbow grease!! Massage was great. Over all alittle pricy for $45 for a deluxe shellac pedicure but more affordable the surrounding nail salons. read more

This place is great! Salon is spotless, maybe a little lacking in style though. $15 for a quick Mani over my lunch break is something I can't argue with. I was a walk-in at 12:30 on a sunny Friday. Ugh where do I began... I could give this place 0 stars if I could! I live downtown and this place is right next door to me. I been going in for about 1 year now, and every time I get a full set of nails $35 she always makes them so UGLY!!! Their never straight some nails are square some nails are round. The polish is old and very out dated. She uses the same scrub brush for the pedicures on everyone. She doesn't even wash it! YUCK they over charge me for a fill originally $15 (on the menu) but she charges me $25 JUST FOR A FILL!?!? They suck at eyebrows I told her I just wanted them to be cleaned up, she made my eyebrows as thin as hers!!! When I told her I was unsatisfied she said "that's not my problem."
