I went in to Tri Organic Spa to get a pedicure for the first time in my life. I wasn't really sure what to expect and, honestly, I was a little nervous but wanted to push myself to try something new. I got the classic spa pedicure and the results were nice. The calves + foot massage was intense at parts (but not painful!) and made me feel afterward like I was walking around on whole new feet. I wish I had made use of the massage function of my chair, but that's OK. The heated neck cushion they gave me was amazing. I don't see myself becoming a regular, only because spa treatments aren't my go-to for taking some TLC, but I absolutely encourage anyone to stop in for one of Tri Organic Spa's services. The interior is cute and they make lovely use of their space. The workers there are all lovely and welcoming, and are very prompt in letting you know ahead of time if something has changed with the scheduling that day and offering earlier/later time slots as available that same day, if wanted. read more

I am so happy with my nails! I haven't ever gotten my nails done so was initially a little nervous headed into the salon, but loved my experience. The salon itself was small but not squished, and had a nice calm vibe. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon with my friend and they were almost immediately able to seat me at the manicure desk and her in a nearby pedicure chair. I am SUCH a bad nail biter so I wanted to try gel x nails since my natural nails are very short. I was nervous about them being too long, but she cut and shaped them until I was happy with the length! There was an endless amount of color options, I had a hard time deciding between them so she tested them out on my nails to see which I liked best. This was initially $70 which is pretty comparable to other salons in the area based on my research. The salon had a 10% off discount which brought the price before tip to $63. I am very happy with how these turned out! I love the natural shape and look of my nails, this is just what I was hoping for. The most FABULOUS experience I have ever had at a nail salon! The space was so beautiful, bright, and lovely. The staff was warm, kind, welcoming, and sweet. First, I got a manicure and it was flawless. I did a gel french tip and it lasted NEARLY 3 WEEKS!! An incredible and relaxing hand massage was included. Next, I got a haircut - while I waited though I was able to sit in their massage chair and just decompress. It was a slice of heaven. My haircut was perfect and exactly what I wanted. I've come here a handful of times, recently to get my nails done. My nails appointments have typically been rushed. I used to get acrylic French tips and the white tips would peel and dirty very easily. I came in recently to get a super basic manicure and my cuticles were destroyed and my middle finger hasn't stopped bleeding. Would be nice to have a good nail appointment here. Disappointed as they have great reviews and photos show good quality work. Unfortunately what I got was neither. My pedicure was rushed and she didn't like it that I didn't pick gel and just chose regular color. She nipped me twice and pulled upwards on my nail when she was cutting the edges. I winced, she didn't notice. My cuticles do not feel clean or properly clipped. The gal who did my nail didn't seem to understand everything I was saying and I eventually had to explain in Vietnamese to her. My nails were crooked, uneven, shape was completely off from what I had shown her in pictures. Color was off. Glitter was off. Polish was lumpy. Powder laid on top was extremely thick. I should've wait to see my regular nail lady. Will not likely return. I think they need to do a better job of listening to their customers. I have never, ever, written a bad review before. But.... They hustled and manipulated for an unfair and outrageous price. My daughter asked twice...what is the price of a manicure? In the end, the price had nearly doubled because the manicurist (without asking) kept adding things to the service. And, the discount my daughter was promised, never happened. At checkout, my daughter was shocked at the $50 plus price. An extra $10 to remove old polish? When the manicurist asked for a tip...oh my! The credit card reader "not working ". But, when the manicurist entered a 25% tip...suddenly the machine was working again. Over $60 for a manicure that was quoted at nearly half that price? I love getting my nails done. I'll start with the positive, the pedicure I received was fantastic, Nancy was great and gave a wonderful foot/leg massage. Nancy did the majority of my dip nail too, and they looked really nice for her part. She kept the shape I wanted and was very kind. Nancy gets 5 stars! For the bad, I gave a design idea I wanted, and Nancy had me switch technicians because she didn't feel confident doing the design (I appreciated her honesty!), and thought "this will be good!". The design started great, the technician restarted when she felt she messed up, until it came to the white stems/flowers... she kept making faces like she knew it didn't look good, but never attempted to fix it. They came out so thick and look like I did it at home myself. My FAVORITE nail salon in the area!! I've tried going to different places around Cap hill and this one is definitely the cleanest and nicest! The owner named the place after her son, Tri and is suuuper friendly. I also love that they use natural and organic products (besides the polish). They are very articulate and make sure to achieve the style that I want. The hardest part is choosing a color because they have so many! Also, the pedicure's are AMAZING. I love getting their signature spa pedicure- it also includes a mask, paraffin dip and hot stones. They give really good long massages plus the massage chair is so nice. I always love coming back here! They're also extremely cautious and great at following the Covid-19 protocols. They checked our temperature first thing and had us fill out a form with some info/questions. Each station has plexiglass and they space people out. I've been here only once and I don't think I'll be coming back. If you're liking for acrylic extensions don't do it here. Uneven shaping: My fist issue is with shaping. As the lady who was doing my nails was shaping my extensions I noticed a lot of them either skewing in one direction or having no proper curve. I showed her where I had an issue and asked her to get the shape I wanted. She could not do it. Every time she kept making it worse. After about 5-6 attempts per nail, I got too tired and stopped asking. I figured I could fix the shape later on my own with a file and I did do it as soon and I got home. (Second image below shows how uneven the shape was) Lumpy texture: The second issue was the fill. When the lady added the powder fill she made it terribly lumpy. She did try to shape it a little so some nails are better than others. But overall they are extremely uneven. With the shellac on this is extremely noticeable and looks horrible. (See first image below) Cuts: The last and most important complaint I have is with safety. The least I expect from my nail technician is to not hurt me. The lady doing my nails was twisting my finger aggressively and cutting my skin while working on my nails. I yelped in pain so many times. She would say sorry and do it again. I got so many cuts on both my hands and they bled too. Your nails experience should be relaxing. This was extremely stressful and I was so unhappy about with the results. They might be good at regular mania and pedis but not acrylics. I don't want a refund nor do I want to go back in (I really really don't want to be cut and hurt again). read more

I made the mistake of going here after having another unpleasant nail experience elsewhere. The acrylic was laid on very thick, nails were uneven and the thumbs were chunky, the nail tech kept burning my fingers with the drill, and the cat eye was done so poorly it was just thick glitter on top of polish, no cat eye effect. Although I called to make an appointment beforehand, the appt started 30 minutes late. Which was fine, they talked about being understaffed that day. However, they rushed through my appointment and my nails suffered for it. I immediately messaged the insta page after my visit, I returned the next day for them to solely change the polish. The acrylic was still too thick, they refunded me a small portion of the cat eye that they didn't actually do (just $10 of the total $80 visit). I will never be returning. I wasted hours of my time and still left with ugly nails both times. When I mentioned the salon to a friend, they said they had the exact experience with how they applied the cat eye, and shaped her nails 2 years prior. Clearly they haven't resolved this. Let me say, I have been so stressed lately and really needed a place I can go where they didn't rush and took their time with me. Nancy did my prior dip removal, manicure and new dip. She was friendly, professional and skilled. The last place I went to, I had been going there on and off for about 4 years, and the last time I went, I needed a acrylic removal and she ripped off my nail so hard, it bled. I came here for manicure on new year eve, and this place was open and had many appointment slots available. My two friends and I went together for manicure. The price was unbeatable. The service was quick and good. It is definitely a good deal but you get what you paid for, so don't set a very high expectation. The result is not bad but not outstanding. Honestly, one of the worst manicures and pedicures I have ever received. The extent of what they did to my fingernails was filing the tips and cutting my cuticles (which cuticles were still jagged see photo). They did not buff my nails out so you could see my fingernail ridges through the polish. Toes nails the same. They had two people working on me at once doing manicures and pedicures at the same time, but there was not much space for the manicurist so I had to hold my arm that was farther away from her up the whole time while doing everything which was uncomfortable. She kept reaching over me closely (her face within a foot of my face) for supplies which is NOT COVID safe and made me feel uncomfortable. I had the woman put hearts on my nails and they were very uneven and sloppy (see photo taken directly once home). Would not recommend anyone going there. FINALLY found a tasteful, go-to spot in Cap Hill - I'm a regular here and I love it! The salon is lovely and extremely well-kept. All the staff are very accommodating and respectful, though I've really only worked with Ms. Nancy thus far. She's a soulful woman who's incredibly talented and puts a lot of heart into her work. The acrylics are not too thick and not too thin, nails always crisply done. If you know you're clumsy though, ask for them slightly thicker! Fresh set is a little over an hour, fills a little under.
