Pedicure: 1 star. This is a $70 pedicure, which means I expect excellent service, products, and results. Service was good. Products and results were not. The pictures attached (taken on the same day as the pedicure) say it all! The problems? The polish did not dry well after waiting 30 min (alone) in the back room. Its possible that the polish was too old. Despite wearing flip flops home, my toes looked terrible. When I called, they said they could touch me up at a very specific time during the week; it didn't work with my schedule but they offered me 20% on a future service (no reimbursement on current service). In the end, I had to spend another $70 while traveling to get the foot care I needed! I did get some other services (details below), but ultimately, the pedicure ruined Spa Noir for me. Body wrap: It was ok. I laid on a crinkly sheet of foil. Then I was very lightly dry brushed and a soap-like liquid was placed all over me. They wrap you up, give you an awesome face massage, and wipe off the soap with a rag. The experience didn't feel luxurious or spa-like, and my face broke out after. Very different from my last wrap in a private room with shower and steamer! Bikini wax: Well done and no complaints. read more

Facials are my go-to for stress reduction. The spa vibe and the products are important, but the technique of the aesthetician makes the experience memorable. This is where Tiffany delivers, big time. I had a 75-minute facial and felt boneless afterward, I was so relaxed. She asked about what I wanted and actually listened, but also seemed to just know what to do. The right pressure, the right technique, the right everything. Speaking of getting it right...Spa Noir gets this right, too. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the spa is dark and relaxing, and they use Eminence products. And unlike most spas, they have really good music playing in the background. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate nature sounds and pan flutes. Now, onto the expectations that were just wrong. Firstly, I expected the star session to be just hands feet and scalp as listed in the description. Nope! Visited Spa Noir while visiting Seattle Belltown area because it was within walking distance from my hotel. Online booking was super easy. I requested an hour hot rock massage and received Tanner as my masseur. This was easily one of the best messages I've had in my life. I have terrible upper back pain and stiffness around shoulders and neck areas. I felt like a new person after. The reception area is welcoming and pleasant as was the receptionist. I've been a REGULAR customer of Spa Noir since the last 4.5 years. I get massages every 8 weeks and facials every 6 weeks - so I'm hoping that lends my review above average credibility :) I cannot stress enough how much I love Spa Noir and the entire staff. Right from the front desk-Amy and Theo who are personable and friendly and make you feel super comfortable to all the aestheticians who are highly skilled and cater to your exact need, every time. I've had a massage from almost every masseuse in my 4+ years - Both Melissa's, Kim, Cody and all have been able to help identify exactly the stress point and ease tension when and where I've needed it. Jessica who owns the spa is an AMAZING person and I love that this is a woman owned business that takes care of its customers and employees so lovingly. Jessica's facials are amazing and although extractions are never fun, I always wake up the next day grateful for my skin treatment the night before. Jessica uses Eminence organic products and I swear by them as well. This isn't the usual white and lavender clinical looking Spa environment - the music is eclectic as is the decor. A mash up between an Anthropologie and dark boheme. I love it for the services I get there but also because I feel nurtured and taken care of above and beyond the service I'm paying for. Lastly, they have great offers- there's a 10% rebooking discount if you book your next service when you're leaving the one you're at. If you're as regular as me, it adds up. They also have discounts for service folks who work in the Belltown area and my hairdresser from Vajn salon recently also got hooked to this place. Had an awesome facial/neck/decollete' treatment, complete with extractions and top notch massage from Jessica (the owner) today and my skin looks and feels SO GOOD. A few months ago I had a back facial with Tiffany which was very effective, removing blemishes I was hoping to resolve, followed by an equally great bodywrap treatment with Tanner. The spa itself is gorgeous and I've really enjoyed every appointment and connecting with each of the providers, all of them extremely cool. Tanner and I got into a very deep, thought provoking conversation within about the first 30 seconds (just my style). I think this may be my new favorite spa and the prices are quite competitive. Am scheduled this weekend for a follow-up back treatment and hoping to try the line of products they sell. I later chatted about it with the staff who said they make their best efforts to be nice to the homeless/crackheads folks (instead of calling the cops on them all day) so they respect their property and clients, etc. I think that's a cool approach, anyways... Spa Noir is really cozy, super inviting, and stylish. The receptionist was really nice, very personable. Ishell was my masseuse and she was great. Up front she asked for specific spots to work with as 30 minutes was not really enough time to get a full body massage experience. She was really professional, the room was clean, and I had a very comfortable experience. Afterward I got a pedicure from Rhozi who is definitely a unique girl. We had a really interesting conversation and the time flew by. It seemed like she was done in a flash! My toes looked great and she was really cool to talk to. After I was done I was still waiting for my BF so I sat in the waiting area and chatted with the receptionist and Rhozi. It was really cool, very friendly, I really liked these ladies. Prices were decent, definitely standard. So I'm a 31 year old male. Never been to a spa/whatever these places are called...a place to get a facial. I went on recommendation of friends and family/also, it was my brother who paid for my visit for a birthday present. He's actually been going there regularly and his skin is looking great. Super smooth and very youthful for his age. I've had problematic skin all my life. But on my visit my skin was particularly distressed. I also suffer from scarring and just plain rough looking skin. Now that I got the background out of the way, the place is nice, good atmosphere. Very private. The lady at the front is welcoming. My persons name is Kelsey, her and the results I got are why I'm writing. she was super sweet, good energy, and most of all knowledgable. I wish I could go into all that we did and all that she taught me but it was a lot. She had a lot of knowledge about skin. What we did had a lot of basis on science and was pretty neat. She was not pushy about selling me anything at all but I was super eager to actually get some of the products she used but I forgot as I was leaving. Though I did come away a with little more knowledgeable about what to use on my face. so like I said when I came in my skin was distressed but after I left my skins inflammation was way down, looked less rough, and was just smooth and felt good. the price of the visit seemed pricy, 145, but I have no gauge as to base that from just not used to spending 145 for services on myself. honestly though, if I could I would go once a week and as it stands I'm planning on budgeting it so I can go at least once a month. im a week out from my visit and my skin has looked the best it has in ages. hope this helps read more

Spa Noir has a great aesthetic going on. With the deep red decor and Belltown brick, Spa Noir is nothing like those zenned-out spas that I abhor. It's like a bit of Bohemia in Belltown. Patty "Only on Thursdays" W. pampered my sister and I with back to back (pun intended) massages. Knowing how high maintenance we are, kudos to her for not only handling (pun not intended, but noticed and delighted in postscript) it well, but providing one of the best massages I've had, ever, with amazing finesse and fluidity. I've since been hesitant to get a massage around SF, because I've never had one that compared to Patty's. Recently I purchased a deep red throw blanket, very similar to the color of Spa Noir's interior. When I strategically place it around my shoulders, my cat comes and makes muffins on it because he likes the texture. I like the rubdown, and I love my cat, but there is just no comparison to Patty's maneuverings. read more

It's very hard to give a spa a bad review, since any time you get a rubdown with fragrant oils is a good time. So I suppose I should note that you should take my four star review with a grain of salt. Still, I think this is a four star kind of place. It is styled like a a classy little Manhattan restaurant - dark, with plenty of shiny or interesting things to catch your eye. It's a small place, with a pair of treatment rooms and a high-ceilinged waiting room. From the moment you walk in, you realize that the people that work there really enjoy what they do. They're friendly to the customers and happy to be there. I got a facial that was very solid and a thirty minute massage that would've been better if it was an hour long. The two folks that worked their magic on me were both responsive, outgoing and good at their business. I walked out utterly relaxed and far more beautiful. In terms of price, you're going to have trouble finding a better deal in Seattle. Trust me, I've looked. read more
