I've been going to Refine Nails for over a year now. Pretty salon across the street from the Amazon Spheres. Very clean and most importantly they use a fresh set of instruments every time and wear gloves. I had a cat's eye gel mani/pedi yesterday with Mari. But they also do fantastic nail art. Rachel's Ginger Beer is next door and I often pop in there to grab a refreshing beverage before my nail appointment. Scotti recommends! read more

Aries did my nails and I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves first time getting nail art in my life!!! (Besides one time getting black French tip) I was obsesseddddd I got the gel x extensions with level 3 art After coming to refine I've learned so much more about nail care and health. And the education behind nails! I have so much respect for these people and the time they've dedicated going to school and learning this art. As someone who used to not think too much about this field. Each tech is so talented and knowledgeable. And there's a different person whether you just want a regular mani pedi or you like to go all out with designs/art. I enjoy my time here chatting with the techs. If you like art I recommend Taleah, Aries and Daryl! But everyone is lovely They also have a smaller studio on dexter Ave as well with a few talented technicians As a budget girly this place is not always within my budget but I think you get what you pay for and you also need to consider the location too. I think prices are pretty comparable if you were to go to a lot of other techs that specialize in art and such. (Specifically the private ones) Pro tip! Ask for rose when you come in :) or if you don't drink there's water and limited tea options read more

I called ahead and asked if this place takes walk ins and they don't usually. They accommodated me with their "apprentice" who I booked a mani and a pedi with. During my casual conversation with her I asked her how long she had been a nail technician for. She stated that she had been working for 2 years. She did the entire manicure dry without any soaking or cuticle remover. Only using an electronic file to clean up the cuticles. She took over 2 hours to do a basic manicure. The paint job took forever and I would have missed my flight back to LA had I stayed for the feet. Now this manicure was filled with numerous f-ups and flops. The bottle of matte top coat was chunky like oatmeal so she needed to repaint my pinky. Then she smudged nails that she had previously painted and they needed redos. She also dropped polish on the floor and it spilled. When I explained to her that I'd have to pass on the pedicure she took an attitude with me saying that I should have explained that to the receptionist ahead of time. To which I responded I've never had someone spend 2+ hours on my hands. My manicure started chipping within the hour cause paint bonded to the skin. This service was $31 with the apprentice. I could have done a better job on my own nails with paint and all at home for way less. I use to do nails and hair years ago at a men's salon when I was still practicing cosmetology. I wasn't offered a beverage, this service was pretty bare bones. I payed extra for a hot towel I feel the need to call out this sheer incompetence because if you're a paying client you don't deserve to go through that. Ive had way better even at a beauty college. I added another star because I feel like the other 2 nail technicians working there were doing some amazing and beautiful work. read more

I would not have sought this place out except for the fact that I had a gift card, and it WAY exceeded my expectations! The mani/pedi I got from Taleah was wonderful, and my hands and feet and nails are literally softer than they have ever been before. I just got a basic color coat, but Taleah can also do highly intricate nail art (she showed me on her own nails). I was expecting not to come back here, but now I think I will return specifically for Taleah! She was so good. read more

I live in neighborhood and always wanted to check this place. Alyna is my to go girl! She works very fast, professional and I was happy with the result. Place is very clean and chic. I love how many polish colors they have. I just love to sit back relax and choose colors. I cant wait to come when masks restrictions will be lifted. I know they sent me an email that in July masks restrictions will be lifted. Also, I wish they would bring back drinks because it makes you feel special. If you're looking for great service with a very talented nail artist go and see Lena. She can do just about any type of design you want. She has a cute little private room in the studio so you feel comfortable and right at home. People have mentioned the pricing. They are higher than your normal nail salon but my nails lasted 3 weeks. It would have been longer if my nails wouldn't grow! The shellac stayed on and I'm rough on my hands so that's a huge compliment. Well worth it. Great location and easy to get to with parking. Highly recommend. read more

My best friend is getting married and I couldn't think of a better way to kick off wedding week than with pampering her at Refine Nails and Spa. If this is your first time visiting and you're driving into Seattle, the location offers secured garage parking with validation! Save yourself from the stress of others watching as you try to parallel park in downtown Seattle during the lunch rush. We kept their team busy with two gel mani and pedis, a full set of acrylic with nail art and pedi, and lastly, a full set of hard gel with extensions and nail art. This was my first time having hard gel done and I am absolutely in love with my nails! That's why I'm awake at midnight leaving a review because I keep staring at my beautiful nails! Mirna is an absolute badass and it's magic watching her work. We had an exceptional experience at Refine Nails and Spa and I highly recommend them! read more

My first time at Refine. This is a beautifully appointed nail shop. Very modern. They don't have massage chairs but the chairs they do have look comfy and they are pretty cute too. The check in was quick, my nail artist, Kate was ready right away. She did a fantastic job and was a sweetheart to chat with. She helped me pick a puffy light blue color because my original color was a bit too nude. She was gentle and quick, I was only there for 45 minutes or so for my fill. I had a lovely experience here and intend to return. I will say that it's a bit expensive at $60 not including tip. Also, if you want any kind of nail art you need to schedule that prior to showing up because it not only takes more time but is at an extra cost. read more

I absolutely loved my trip to Refine! It was my first time but man am I in love. I will definitely be coming back. Ivy did my nails and I wanted a gel manicure. She did it so quickly and so carefully. She paid so much attention to details more than anyone else who's done my nails before at any other salon. Ash created the most beautiful and fun nails ever! I'm so confused by the negative reviews and glad I ignored them. Located by the Spheres for perfect people watching while getting your nails done, and very cute interiors - Refine felt like the perfect place to get pampered. Ash over at Refine will give you the nails of your dreams, while making sure to keep them as healthy as possible. Ash recommended Gel-X nails, which I've wanted to try for months! So happy I went with their recommendation on the gel-x! They were very knowledgeable, providing insight into the different steps gel-x require since it was my first time. So happy I was able to book an appointment last minute with Ash because nail art is in such demand now, and it's so hard to find an opening! Don't hesitate - book an appointment with Ash ASAP! I can't rave enough about the strength, design, and quality of these nails. And Ash, thank you so much for being so kind and thoughtful - even though I kept asking for more designs haha. Can't wait to come back in 3 weeks! read more

I tried to call and make an appointment to have my nails done or maybe just two of them fixed. The person I spoke with was not only rude to me but also did not know the availability of any of the nail technicians. I also did not like the fact that I heard a person just stop in to the shop and was able to just walk in whereas I was calling to try and make an appointment but wasn't even given the time of day. I can't rave enough about Refine Nails - this is the only nail salon that I go to now. I've gotten my nails done in Korea a bunch of times, so my expectations are pretty high when it comes to nail art, and those expectations were rarely met at any of the nail salons I've been to in the US. I'm so happy I found Refine (also at a location so close to home) because Toni and Shelley blow me away every time! First, the quality of nail polishes they have are top notch. I have been to cheaper nail salons where gel manicures cost ranging anywhere between $25-$40, but they always chipped away within a few days that I would have to get a new set pretty often. The first time I went to Refine, I got a regular gel manicure without design and it lasted almost two weeks without a single chip. After perusing through Toni and Shelley's Instagram (definitely check them out), I decided to get designs on multiple occasions, and I've been happy every single time. I usually bring designs that I see from Instagram, but to be honest, I think I'd be happy to have Toni and Shelley get creative without bringing a specific design. They're EXTREMELY talented! The nail salon is SUPER cute too - everything is modern, luxurious, and most importantly, CLEAN. I always walk out in love with my nails and feeling pampered :) read more

Overpriced and you could honestly paint your nails better at home. Went in with a pic and 1) the color selection was off and 2) the nail art looked so bad that I asked that it be wiped off They gave me 20% off but now I'm left with a color swatch that looks dumb - a waste of money - I'll be paying more to go to my girl who does it right. In the meantime channeling the girl on tik tok - in her car, crying about her manicure & money not well spent read more

I have been coming to this salon consistently since things first started opening up. Their COVID procedures are top notch - you will get temperature checked and asked to wash your hands. Everything is sanitized. I usually get a pedicure and have had a manicure twice. The work is always good. My heels are soft and my toes are polished flawlessly. Once, my polish smudged badly within a day. I called the salon and they had me come back and fixed it at no charge. They also disposed of the nail polish as well. I thought this was pretty great customer service. I like that I can schedule my appointments online and I honestly go with whoever is available. Have not had a bad experience yet. The salon itself is super cute and I love the decor. read more

Really disappointed with the pedicure here. I specifically made an appointment for the next tier of pedicure which included callus removal in the service description. Went for my pedicure on time, and right before my nail tech was going to apply the polish, I asked if they were going to file my calluses at all. The nail tech told me they don't perform any filing at all, which is baffling to me, since that's exactly what I booked for. I absolutely get salons that do a basic foot file and then charge extra for tough calluses. What I got was ZERO foot filing, so either that service description was wrong, or I didn't receive the service I booked and paid for. Total waste of $47 (excluding tips). I could have just painted my own toe nails. read more

Refine Nails is one of the cutest salons I've been to here in Seattle. My appointment was with Ivy Tran and I couldn't be happier with the service. Attention to detail was paid, conversation wasn't forced, and I received a wonderful foot massage. I also had a pleasant interaction with the person that checked me out after my appointment, Kleu. I was trying to use a visa gift card I had received for my birthday and it kept getting declined. Kleu didn't make me feel embarrassed in the slightest and went above and beyond typing in the card info instead of simply swiping it. Great service overall, I look forward to returning. read more

I enjoy this nail salon because the staff are friendly and it is easy to make an appointment online. The nail care has always met standards and cleanliness. I have visited both the 7th ave location as well as the Dexter location. About a total of 4 visits. But my issue and the reason for the only 3 stars is that my gel manicures never last more than a week. I personally think it is because of the nail polish brand they carry, Kiara Sky. My most recent manicure lasted 5 days before a massive chip appeared. When I go to other salons who carry Opi gel polish, the manicure lasts anywhere from 2-3 weeks depending on how often I am cooking and cleaning. I hope you have better luck than I do :) read more

I've been here three times now, and booked this as the "the olive (built to last gel). My appointment was on september 24th. not even two weeks later and they are already chipping /peeling. I have an appointment for acrylics i two weeks and was told to schedule a "gel removal" appointment before hand bc this would still be on but that seems unlikely. I have curly brows and she cut all those hairs out instead of working with my hairs and brushing them into place to appear fuller at the front and thinner at the ends like I showed her. I left crying and I wanted to requests a full refund because I am shocked. I've never had brows this bad. This needs to be remediated please. I have been a loyal client of this nail spa for over five years. While it used to be an amazing place to go, my recent experiences have been deeply disappointing. The first issue occurred when a nail tech used a pumice stone to remove medical tape residue from my lower leg. While I believe she had good intentions, the method was poorly thought out, causing my skin to be removed and leaving a permanent scar. I reached out to the owner, who refunded me, but that was the only action taken to address the situation. Despite this, I decided to continue supporting the spa. However, a few months ago, I experienced another upsetting incident during a pedicure. At the time, there were only two clients in the pedicure chairs--myself and another person whose service hadn't even started yet. A mother and daughter arrived and requested to sit together. The nail tech offered to move the other client over one chair to accommodate them, but the receptionist declined. Instead, she waited until my pedicure was almost finished and then asked me to move five chairs down to make room. This disrupted my experience, and in the process of moving, my freshly painted polish was smudged. I called the spa immediately after to report the issue and to question why I had been asked to move instead of the other client, especially when their service hadn't started. The receptionist was reluctant to remedy the situation, but I insisted that I would come in first thing the next morning to have it fixed, as I had already been inconvenienced and expected the service I paid for to be completed properly. These incidents highlight a significant decline in customer service and a lack of respect for loyal clients. The disregard for my experience, combined with the owner's failure to meaningfully address these issues, has led me to reevaluate where I spend my money. Sadly, I can no longer recommend this business. read more

There are plenty of nail salons in the city, but it's hard to find a good one. I initially thought this place was going to check all of my boxes because the ambience was inviting and the spa very clean. However, the decor isn't enough to compensate for poor service, inexperienced techs & incredibly rude management. The prices are high and everything is a la carte, so it should be reasonable to expect a great result. But that's not what you'll get here. Instead, you'll get a so-so manicure from a so-so tech in an environment made toxic by the management. And don't complain because they'll let you know they're doing you a favor by 'allowing' you to overpay for lousy service. Skip this place & save your money for a high-end, high-quality experience at another salon. read more

My nails turned out beautiful, and the whole experience felt relaxing and personalized. You can really tell he cares about his clients and goes above and beyond. That said, finding the place was a bit confusing. The address took me to a residential, gated building, and I initially thought I was in the wrong spot. The salon is actually located in an open plaza behind that building, and it's now called "Funny Bunny Nail and Spa," which made it even harder to recognize. Thankfully, the kind woman who answered the phone was incredibly helpful--she came out to find me at the front door and even called out my name. Once I got there, everything was perfect. I'll definitely be coming back again. Just give yourself a little extra time to find it the first time--it's 100% worth it!

I live nearby and quickly became a regular when they first opened. I usually get a gel manicure and…read morespa pedicure twice a month, and always tip 20%. I also always call ahead before visiting or I make appointments. This has always been the one thing I do for 'me', self care if you will. I suffer from anxiety and depression and this is my happy place ... WAS my happy place. The salon is beautiful, the massage chairs are amazing and who doesn't love a complimentary glass of wine? However, two days after my gel manicure, the edges started lifting. This has been happening the last few visits. I decided to call and ask them if they could fix the thumb nail which was so hideous, I peeled off the polish. I went in after work - the lady that fixed it didn't acknowledge me. I was having trouble matching the color, and asked for her help, she completely ignored me and walked away to talk to someone else that was working. She returned and just stood there with her arms crossed, staring at me. At this point I was on the verge of tears and wanted to say 'nevermind' and leave, but I chose the closest color to what I had. I also asked her if she could seal the other few that were peeling and she straight up told me 'no' and shook her head to reiterate 'no'. She did two coats on the thumb nail, panting onto my skin, then filing my skin to 'fix' it. As I was walking out (the girl at the front desk is always very kind) she apologized and could see how upset I was, she even offered me a discount for next time, but I didn't have the heart to tell her that I am never coming back. I walked out into the parking lot and just cried. I will never for the life of me understand why someone would center their business around customer service, yet treat people like absolute garbage. The nail place I used to go to wasn't the cleanest honestly. Half the chairs didn't work, and they didn't have a ton of colors, but they treated people with kindness, and perfected their craft. And that goes a lot further than a crystal chandelier hanging in your salon, when your polish job is subpar and customer service is even worse. I never write reviews like this, but I feel I would be doing others a disservice if I didn't. If you want your money's worth, and to be treated like a human being, do not give this place your business.

I asked over the phone if they could soak off my gel polish vs drill it off as I have had some trauma to my nail beds and am trying to rebuild and strengthen my nails. They said yes! Got to our appointment and verified at the desk, where they said no, they could not soak off. I asked why, to which they said they only drill off the color (I had a couple of old designs on a clear polish background), and they'd never let the drill touch my nail bed. I was hesitant but agreed. I had a mani/pedi. The woman doing my toes filed off the first layer of old gel and soaked off the rest. Yes! Exactly what I wanted! Then the mani came (at the same time) and I shared with her again that I've had nail trauma and would like to soak off. She said they can't do that. I looked at my feet, seeing them in fact doing just that. She promises she won't drill my nail beds. Well, she did, of course. And she cut four of my fingers doing cuticle work. My nails are thin, in pain, and bleeding. Not sure why they could soak off my toes but not my hands considering they were the exact same kind of gel. Pretty disappointing experience considering the spot is really nice and pretty pricey. Won't be returning.
