I'm a loyal customer at the Capitol Hill location and have always had great experiences there, so I was excited to try Queen Anne after a long weekend on my feet volunteering. Unfortunately, this was the worst experience. They skipped steps my friend (sitting right next to me) was getting, like brushing the tops of toes, and ignored my request to use the electric buffing tool for my dancer feet. I also explained I'm ticklish but harder scrubbing works better, yet the callus work was minimal because she barely touched the tool to my feet, and I had to ask her to do more but it was still so light, it did nothing...I later realized she left pieces of dead skin on the bottom of my feet. To top it off, my nails were left with textured and bumpy because she didn't use the electrical buffing tool but just a manual file, a request I reminded her when she was filing. At the end, when she asked me how I like it, I pointed out the texture on my toes, and she just stared back blankly. Between skipped steps, ignored requests, and lack of care, I'll be sticking to Capitol Hill from now on. read more

There were plenty of colors to choose from, and they didn't try to upsell me on anything, which I appreciated. I would definitely come back. I ordered a gift certificate online for my friend's birthday. The fee was immediatedly withdrawn from my credit union, however, 72 hours later my friend still has not received the certificate via email. A call was unsuccessful so I went in person to resolve the issue. Staff at reception was totally not helpful or even concerned and stated no manger was available when I requested a refund. They cut off all my nails. -- I'm writing a review as a warning. As you can see in the photo my nails were a natural mid length and when I left they were clipped down all the way down to the quick. I let her know the shape I wanted and that a couple nails were chipped so they'd need to be evened out. Before I knew it, she took them all. No length left on any of them. I had been waiting to get my nails done after some grow out so they looked nice for my event that night. Nobody has ever done that to me. My finger tips actually feel sore now. The front desk didn't seem sure how to handle it and my email went unanswered. -- I've been going here for two years. The cost always seemed a bit much for the quality but it was my easy local spot for a mani/pedi. And if I wanted something nicer I would go elsewhere. I'm never going here again. I treated myself for Mother's Day, expecting to feel pampered, but the polish application was horrible -- uneven, messy around the edges, and not professionally done at all. The communication is a big issue as what I wanted wasn't what I got and I really wanted a last minute pedicure (thankful they had availability) so I gave Apollo the benefit of the doubt. There is a I believe a $45 pedicure and a $65 pedicure option - I wanted the $65 pedicure because was wanting for more in-depth maintenance. I was under the impression I was getting this one (first time there) because I stated I wanted the volcano which was the $65 one. When it came time to check out, I was charged $45 for the lower maintenance pedicure which made more sense why the pedicure felt shorter and less extensive. I also wanted a khaki brown color but I didn't have the nail polish number (learning common to have for communication issues) and communication again was really hard so I ended up just saying clear because that felt easier to understand on the staffs end. Lastly, I wanted to see if there could be a gel nail created but after multiple attempts to communicate with 2-3 people, it was stated they couldn't do it, but it seems pretty common in most nail salons to be able to do a kind of illusion nail. I provided 2 stars because the location was nice and clean and staff was nice outside of communication issue but this experience has made me want to consider another business for pedicure or nails. I wanted to try their waxing but weary of the communication also being a primary issue of what I actually want and what I receive. read more

I said don't cut my nails and I wanted them filed round and she just Butchered my nails down to these pointy shapes I asked to have removed and now I have nothing. When I said I was disappointed she told the front fest I didn't have any to begin with. My fingers are sore. These people suck and they charge way too much. This was not my first visit here but it will certainly be my last. The gal at the front desk barely acknowledged me when I arrived (she had her ear buds in and was on her phone). My friend arrived, no one would help her with her color selection. My pedicure was 20 minutes for $40, my friends manicure and gel pedicure was less than 50 Minutes for $90. The entire time the gal the front desk remained on her phone with ear buds in. She didn't remove them when we checked out. When we mentioned her lack of attention and focus on customers she said she was dealing with an issue at the Capitol Hill store. I came in with a weird, botched, half-moon gel manicure from another salon that absolutely needed to go. I was hoping that the gals at Apollo would do a better job than the last salon I went to, and the nail technician who did my manicure absolutely nailed it (pun intended). I was SO thrilled with how my nails turned out, I literally walked away beaming and the gal at the front desk said I looked so happy. The technician really took the time to get the length and shape of my nails right, checking in with me to make sure I like how they looked, and was so careful to make sure the half-moon matched on both hands. I can't believe how smooth and even the lines are! I wish I had asked for the nail technician's name so I could thank her by name! But honestly all of the technicians are friendly, professional, and do a fantastic job. Plus, I've found that my shellac manicures from Apollo last much longer than other salons I've visited. I'm super bummed, guys. I just left the salon. I've been coming to Apollo for 2 years for shellac manicures. They usually do a phenomenal job: great cuticle cleaning, super friendly and patient, fill the nails all the way to the edges for no gaps without me having to ask. Until now, I've only gotten simple single color manicures. But since I wanted to try something new, I booked a French Shellac Manicures. I though hey, blending two colors into a gradient is a pretty simple request, right? I've seen other ladies leave the salon with all kinds of blends and designs, they could master pink into white too, right? Nope. I showed the manicurist a picture of what a gradient looks like, she said "ohh...sure yeah absolutely I can do that. I'll probably have to put some light sparkles on top to get that." Cut to her putting the white swipes on - it just looks like a chunkily done at home French manicures with really bad sparkles on top. I have a white tip pen at home, I could've done this. One day, we had an appointment at 1:05 and I got a call at 1:05 and said my appointment was at 1:00pm. They have a 10 min late policy. The big massage chairs were perfect for relaxing whilst getting a pedicure. My 'manly' manicure was done well, with an arm/hand massage afterwards. My hands felt refreshed, smooth, and soft. This is my favorite spot for nails in Seattle, I love that I can easily book online through the app. This spa always felt incredibly clean, but furthermore they responded swiftly to Covid considerations by installing plexi barriers, taking guest temps, and clearly paying extra attention to sanitizing. The shellac brand they use is the least harsh on my nails and soaks off quickly, I often get a solid 2-3 weeks on my manicure without lifting. They have fabulous massage chairs and include a relaxing lower leg/foot massage with the pedicure. I love to give myself the luxury of a pedicure after a long week of work on my feet in heels, Apollo provides such a lovely and relaxing experience to give my feet new life! read more

I have never had a bad experience here. They don't offer more complex services like dip nails or acrylics, so if that is what you are looking for this is not your place; however, if you're like me and just looking for a pedi and some shellac, I haven't been anywhere better in Seattle. The technicians are very thorough and gentle, and I always come away feeling pampered and relaxed. The color selection is extensive and they have always embraced my obsession with glitter. And the salon is literally SPOTLESS; I got a bad infection at another salon in the area, and have never experienced any pain or infection after treatment here. Comparatively, the services here are a little bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, and it makes me feel more confident that workers are being paid what they are owed, which is a serious problem with nail salons nationally. I don't mind paying more for good service and fair treatment. I highly recommend Apollo! read more

This was my first visit, and I can say I won't be back. The staff was nice enough, but the experience, price and quality was just not hitting the mark. I showed a simple picture with a design with two strokes on each nail, they told me it was too hard. I've had this design before with no issue at another salon . At my regular spot if I show them some thing they think is tricky - they make suggestions on how to edit. This staff just told me no and gave me a regular French. Not what I wanted or asked for. They asked when we walked in if they could do both services (mani&pedi) at the same time, we said sure, however I do not recommend this. You get pulled away from your massage chair (I didn't even turn mine on) and it makes it hard to relax or have a convo with your friend. I also think this made the massage part much shorter. They don't take Amex and are very expensive - over $100 for shellac and very minimal pedi. No complimentary drink and there's no music so it was eerily silent. I love this place. I make a trip for a pedi about every other month in the winter and monthly during the summer. I fine they are all very good, efficient, and I've never had a bad experience nor have I ever left disappointed. Same for Capitol Hill location. I called today to see about getting an appointment for my pedicure and they didn't have any more appointments available, but no problem....because they take walk-ins too! I got a chair within 10 minutes of walking in. You can also make appointments online. Easy peasy. Tons of polish colors to choose from. They also have a plethora of shellac colors if you prefer that. My toenail polish lasts for at least a month, so I only bother with shellac if I'm getting a manicure. Great service! read more

This is my favorite place to get my nails done in Seattle. I have had shellac done at other salons and it doesn't last nearly as long as when I go to Apollo. Manicures are an occasional thing for me, so I don't mind that this place is a bit pricier than other salons in the city. My friend introduced me to this marvel of a salon and I am so excited that they do a good job of making you feel comfortable, relaxed, not rushed at all, and also do good nail work. The girl who worked on my feet was very sweet and asked only minimally invasive questions - she knew when to stop pumice-scrubbing my feet when I couldn't stop laughing, and made sure the water was the right temperature - not too hot, but also not lukewarm. The glass of wine (good pour!) made the spa experience as relaxing as possible and the massage chair did a good job on my back while my feet were being taken care of. While the pedicure is on the higher end of the price spectrum, you definitely get what you pay for - quality doesn't come for free! read more
