Awesome experience here! I'm a regular at another salon that's always packed and doesn't do my pedis how I like. I called about 40 mins before close and they still took me which I was thankful for. My regular place closes earlier and wouldn't do my pedi because they didn't have the time. I'm so thankful I came here. Everyone was so friendly which I hadn't experienced ever before at any other nail salons in the area. Very kind, welcoming, great service, offered me water, did an awesome leg massage. Great owners. I really want to start by saying that the owners are lovely people. The salon itself.. A few times now I've had a poor experience. Cuticles cut too far they bleed, overbooking customers and not enjoying what should feel like a relaxing experience due to feeling rushed. One person starts the treatment, then they're swapped and swapped again. Overall, it's a good place to go if you happen to need your nails done in downtown. Today was my first and last time to this nail salon. First off, I have never paid as much as I did today for a pedicure. My total was $95 for a gel pedicure. As regular receiver of pedicures, I was shocked to hear the total when I was checking out. Also, I told the cashier a specific amount for added tip , and I noticed when I got home and looked at my receipt that he had added more to his tip without my consent. Never had that happen before ! WTH?!!! And if you want to talk about quality of service, I've definitely had better. My nail technician's attention to detail was lacking. Had I not spoken up, I would've left unhappy. I had a builder gel refill and they charged $65. They used Orly builder gel, the quality is awful, my nails are lumpy and you can clearly see where my refill starts. Now less than three weeks later my nails are peeling. I would not recommend! read more

We came in to get TWO nails fixed, the tech didn't tell me till she was half way through that it be FIFTEEN DOLLARS PER NAIL. $30 for two nails is ridiculous. She was also extremely rude when I was asking about the price snapping at me and arguing. This place has still held up from 2014 to now. The vibe is nothing fancy, but there is consistently good customer service and quality of the services rendered. I came here to get a bit of relaxation after a long Pike Place Market stroll. I got a gel manicure and pedicure. I was promptly seated and serviced. Located right by pike st market, this salon is perfect for a quick mani/pedi if you're in the area. Stopped by on a weekday afternoon and was immediately helped, even without a reservation. Owned by a family, this is a no frills place and gets the job done efficiently. Only got a regular manicure and it was a great quick fix. A few others were getting pedicures near me. They used OPI polish and accepts credit card payments over $10. A regular manicure was $20 which is a bit more expensive than where I'm from, but seems to be on par with pricing in the area. Pedicures are $30-$35 but if you do a manicure/pedi it is $50. They do not have typical drying stations like other salons and just have a small fan on the table that you use to dry. read more

I wanted this place to be good and I tried a few times. My cuticle was cut badly twice on my thumb causing so much bleeding the nail polish was turning red. They acted like it was no big deal. Worst nail experience of my life. It saddens me to write this review because the owner, Julie, is very sweet and does a great job with manicures. However, the other nail artists are awful and have caused so much damage to my nails and fingers. I came in last week for a fill. I sat down and one of the male nail artists came in and started filing away. His palms sweat so much that they were dripping on my hands, and he had to constantly stop to wipe his dripping sweat. It was so nasty, the sweat was combining with my filed nail powder and turning into a paste on my hands... then, this man used fake nail extensions to pry off my existing acrylics that were lifting a tiny bit. I was so confused, and the nail lady next to him started yelling at him and telling him he shouldn't do that. He was yelling back at her, and they kept yelling and pointing at my nails. I was very confused. Soon, the owner (male, husband of Julie, I'm assuming) came over to ask what's wrong. I let him know that the guy pried my nails off with a fake nail extension and that it was very painful and damaging. You could literally see the top layer of my nail removed and damaged from of the 3 nails that he pried off. The owner had me move over to the lady next to him to finish the rest of my nail job. She removed my other acrylics halfway and then did a fill on top. She filed my nails so damn hard and rough that 6 of my cuticles started bleeding. I asked if she could be a little more gentle but she ignored me. She applied some sketchy oil onto my bleeding cuticles. It's been 4 days and my cuticles are now infected. Oh, the cherry on top is when she tried to charge me $75 for a nail removal and new set... I asked her, "does prying my nails off with a fake nail count as a removal?" And she said "no, ok I'll just charge you $45." I thought that was a pretty steep price for all the pain my nails and fingers went through, but I didn't have the energy to argue so I just paid it. I want to say you get what you pay for here. $25 mani and $15 pedicure took less than an hour. I didn't feel rushed per say just not fully taken care of. My pedicure was very mediocre. The gentleman was really nice and gentle but nothing he did I couldn't do at home. My manicure was very disappointing. I believe the main lady did my manicure because she was the one speaking the most amongst the employees. She was very nice until it came time to pay. She offered to have my pay before she painted my nails which I thought was considerate. Wish I would of waited until the end because my whole experience changed once I tipped. I gave her $60 and asked for change which seemed to blow her mind. Yes, I need change because tipping $10 to each tech would be well over 40%! When I tipped $7/each she yells across the salon (in English for the first time) "yeah we got $7 each". From that moment the whole attitude of the salon changed. I felt like my "bad tip" upset everyone in there. After I paid the lady became short and irritated with me. I had to call the police, the health department, and the better business bureau after my experience today (9/9/2020). I went to Westview Nails to try and take my mind off my mom being in surgery and was violated by the salon in multiple ways. This business commits credit card fraud, falsely advertises their prices, and 3/4 employees in the salon were NOT WEARING MASKS. There was also a screaming 5 year old child running around (not wearing a mask) during the entire time I was there. 1. MASKS: The owner did not wear a mask the entire time I was there. Nor did his wife or son. The State of Washington requires a mask to be worn. My technician wore a mask for 80% of my services, but took it off just as she was about to massage my hands. I was mortified. I have reported this to the local health authorities and the police. 2. CUT TWICE: My technician, Yen, cut me so badly I bled TWICE. 3. False advertising of prices: the salon has a list of prices above their cash register. They up charge you claiming that there are others signs' stating prices have changed on the window of the salon. This is an illegal practice. The price list clearly states $60 for a gel manicure and a gel pedicure. I was charged $75. 4. CREDIT CARD FRAUD: Because my experience was not professional, unsafe, and the owner refused to honor their clearly listed prices, I paid $75.00 plus zero tip (as a tip is for good service). I got back to my hotel to find that the salon charged me $90 instead of the $75.00 I signed for. The front desk of my hotel called the police to file a report on my behalf. The fact that a local business commits credit card fraud on top of horrible and unsafe service awful. I will be taking legal action against this salon and will let the better business bureau know if this practice as well. read more

I got my nails done with no appointment a couple months back. They first said they couldn't help me, so I left. The front lady ran out to say they can so I came back. I wanted acrylic nails with a matte black finish. She proceeds to do so while another person is bathing their kid in the back, completely visible to me... I found that unprofessional. I noticed during the process that she was doing a terrible job and pointed out this issues I noticed. Choppy not smooth finish when sanding the top and took a chunk of nail polish of my thumb nail while she was doing finishing touches. She wouldn't correct said issues. My first experience here was a NIGHTMARE and I won't ever be going back and if you value your nails I wouldn't either. The place is sort of a mess and the nail selection choices for gel is terrible. The nail person who gave me a fill should not be doing this job. He has absolutely no skills whatsoever and another thing that bothered me was he had a few open cuts and small wounds and some that were healing on his hand and he wasn't wearing a bandaid. As you can see from the photos my nails are hideous. He kept messing them up over and over and laughed about it every time I told him to redo it. My nails are already chipping (they are gel) and they are lopsided. I had to hold everything back to not yell at him to get away from me. When I went to pay he said $45. $45 for these nails???? The managers came because I was not happy. This is the worst fill I have ever had and I don't understand why they would let him go near anyones nail. The managers wife said if I didn't like something I should have told him to fix it. Well, I did. OVER AND OVER he kept trying to fix my nails but he had no idea what he was doing. I'm not going to sit around all day while he gets it right and I shouldn't be the one to show or tell him how to do his job. The husband, who knows the shop, should be ashamed of his whole business. This was the first time I was ever denied service because of my 'weak nails'. I really wanted to like this salon, especially since I live within walking distance from here, while my go-to spot is in Tukwila. Unfortunately, after two visits, I'm too disappointed to go back. First visit about a month ago: Went in for a pedicure and hand dip removal, then a full dip set. Long story short, I was given the wrong color for my dip (asked for white, was given a translucent nude), and the nail tech who was doing my pedicure only exfoliated one foot. I had limited time, so although I was disappointed, I let it slide since it's not like I never had a chance to speak up. Charged $90+tip. Second visit this week: Went back to give them another chance since I had the whole afternoon to spend, and all I wanted was dip removal (really nothing left to remove) and then a gel manicure. ~3:30 pm entered as a walk-in. - Two people came in *after* me, 25-20 min early for their 4pm appointment. - They were seated right away, *before* me. ~3:50 I was seated to soak my nails in acetone for the minimal dip removal. ~4:15 the dip was removed by 'Nail Tech 1' Nail Tech 1 was saying something about needing to have come earlier on for a fill, something about my nails being weak. It was very hard to understand with her soft spoken voice facing down, heavy accent, and mask. I'm of Asian decent, so I always try my best to be understanding, but I really could not understand anything. Also, I couldn't come in because my dog had be going through multiple expensive and stressful surgeries, it wasn't a priority (and plus, it was a good break for my nails). I'm still sitting there after Nail Tech 1 got up, thinking I'm about to be asked what gel color I want. Then 'Nail Tech 2' servicing a customer next to me said "Excuse me ma'am, you're finished. You just wanted removal right?" I told her no, and that I wanted gel. NT2: Your nails are too weak for anything, they need a break. [Nail Tech 1] was trying to tell you that. Me: Yes, I know my nails are soft (they were even in better strength than they've been before). They've always been soft, that's why I wanted to go with gel, since that's what I've been advised by multiple nail techs and nail tech friends. At least it will help them from bending whenever I do anything. NT2: You need treatment. (She kept saying this without being specific). I don't want customers coming back complaining because they chipped within a week. Her (to her current customer): *talking about weak nails like mine needing a break, polish isn't good for nails, she doesn't want disappointed customers, BUT made sure to mention her products are high quality.* Me: I've always dealt with my nails, I've tried a month and more of trying to strengthen them. (I've actually went most of my life not getting my nails done and they've been even softer. Like, trust me, I know the routine of my nails by now). And that was my plan, knowing they won't last long and they may chip, to pay for a full service again in a week or so. NT2: Oh, you've tried a month? What did you do? Me (trying very to remember since it's been a very long time and it was not successful): I think oils, moisturizers, clear strengthening polish. NT2: Oh no. You need treatment. They need treatment. Me (so confused): Can you give me an example of what you mean? NT2: *pulls up Sally Hansen nailgrowth Miracle bottle and shows me and her client* This, you can get it [at all the drug stores pretty much]. Me (just tired, ~4:25pm): Ok, got it. I'll just check out. I paid $11 to waste 1 hour and leave with hands/nails super dry from acetone. If they were in such bad condition, why couldn't they at least put cuticle oil, or lotion, or even one layer of the exact "treatment" she was recommending? As a customer, I've decided what I wanted for my nails, is gel really going to destroy them (which they never have)? Were they denying me because I was an inconvenient walk-in? Also, it was NT1's husband who did my nails, would it not have been him that then destroyed them so badly? Two stars because NT1 and her husband were kind, and my initial dip and gel pedicure were done nicely. Disappointing at best. Staff made extremely rude comments in Vietnamese (not knowing I could understand everything) when my friend and I requested simple flower designs. On top of that service was extremely rushed: my cuticles were bleeding, my nail tech m didn't use the color polish I requested (I didn't say anything though because by the time I noticed it was too late), and even though I requested square nail shape to match my natural nail she proceeded to aggressively file down the side of my nails to the point where my fingertips are still hurting now. I recommend Ascend Nail Lounge in Lower Queenanne for judgement-free, high quality nail services. My new favorite nail salon! You won't be able to beat these prices in downtown Seattle, and Westview rivals professional luxury salons when it comes to quality. The pedicure chairs are amazing, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and really know what they're doing. They can get pretty busy so I would definitely recommend calling ahead- I don't think they have a website to make and appointment or check prices (but I've listed some below from the in person menu) The ambiance isn't great, but the quality more than makes up for it. I came for a pedicure and it was fabulous- the standard pedi is about one hour and includes a foot massage, lotions, scrubs- the works! Really could not recommend more. The man, who I think is the owner stepped into help because they were short staffed. He was the one to tell me this. He caused injury to 3 of the 5 cuticles on one hand. His wife (he told me that too) stepped into finish because she had finished her client. Thank goodness, she spared injury to the other hand. It is painful with breaks in the skin. We were offered tea, water, and a few sweets. They worked amazingly well with my 3 year old daughter and my nails were absolutely perfect. We decided to go grab a mani-pedi, and stumbled upon Westview Nails. What a find! I enjoyed one of the BEST manicures I've ever had, AND, the folks at Westview were SO kind to my nephew, who had the best time chatting with the gentleman who did his nails. It gets pretty busy in the afternoon and around commuting hours. The pricing for services are amazing here. I probably average $30 for shellac mani + a much needed back message. I leave this review to warn you of overcharging, and while some services may be fine, do not visit this salon for SNS. My nails were filed until my hands were bleeding, my nails are thick, I even and already lifting. My nails were down twice today, the first time I said it was okay. I would just pay and go, as my natural nails were uneven, powder incredibly thick and white inconsistent across my fingers. The owner apologized and took the power off to start over. She tried, but my nails are still thick and not presentable. They were kind, but I do not think they know how to perform the dip. Arrogant service and mandatory 15% tip at minimum, even if the service is unpleasant. I recommend people pay by credit card. If you feel not satisfied, you may dispute the transaction later. This was a really frustrating experience. I picked my color from the sample. The base is all white, so I thought it's white with some shimmering decoration. I noticed it was transparent after she painted the first layer, and I asked if it's possible to change it or get it fixed to be white. She said I need to pay another $5 if I change it (I only did this color for my ring finger, while another solid color for all other fingers). I told her i didn't know it was transparent upfront, but still she didn't care. It made me feel like I'm paying for something to border myself... Then, what's the point? When I checked out , the owner told me there is a minimum 15% tip, and it would directly go into my total. I told him I'm not happy with the experience and I don't want to give 15%. He told me he knew that I'm not happy, he could tell from my face, and that's okay. To be honest, the tip was such a minimum amount of money, but the attitude did matter. I need to let them know, this is NOT okay, and I am not going to enable people and things like this. read more
