By my recollection, this is the first time that I've given a 5-star review. It's definitely a nice spot for a good lunch. I used to work on the southwest side of town near Bellaire Boulevard. If you know anything about that area of town, you know there's a lot of noodle houses. I got spoiled by Givral (now known as b10) and their pho. There's only one other spot on the east side where the pho is phonominal (see what I did there?). The first thing I tried was the crawfish pho and it was everything that I needed and then some. The thing that caught my attention, immediately, was the whole crawfish sitting on the bowl. I thought it was a nice touch. The next thing that grabbed me was the spice of the broth. It opened up my sinuses but I didn't mind since it was stuffy anyway. A few nights later I had the surf'n surf po'boy. I've never had my fries stuffed into my sandwich. I actually liked it like that. The following day (being today) I tried the wings. They were meaty and full of flavor just like a good wing should be. To be so new of a location, they've been remarkably consistent. The shrimp are huge and the way they sell them by the 12 large shrimp for 12.99 is actually perfect because that and 1 or 2 potatoes is all you need to be full , you may have some leftover. The boils aren't the best but service is always great I've walked in 40 minutes before closing and service was still quick and friendly.
