I was a repeat customer over 4 years ago and this place was always a hit. I moved away to DFW and finally found my way back to Houston, but I was scared to come back to try it since there were a few reviews where people complained about the quality of the wings and price increases. Thankfully, it did not disappoint. The wings were a good size and everything tasted great, they also didn't skimp on the fries portion which I appreciate since potatoes aren't that expensive. I also added cheese to the boudain balls and they complimented the meal very well. I loved every bite. The inside of the restaurant has a fair selection of seating and was clean. They expanded since my last visit, looks nicer now. Finding a parking spot was not an issue during a Friday around dinner time. The service was also very attentive, my partner went to ask for a to-go box and before the person in the front could find one, someone popped up from the back (I guess they overheard) and handed one to her. Best fast casual wings in Houston, in my opinion. Bonfire WIngs are always well cooked and their service staff is great (answers questions, actually returns to the phone after placing you on hold). I'll also say weather I order online or over the phone they always tell me how long food will take with great accuracy-I have been going here for two years now and I've only waited an extra 5-10 minutes after the time they told me it would be ready one single time. The wings are amazing close second to Pluckers. These types of wings are cajun style! I typically order the cajun mojito (used to be called mojo) and it is impressively tasty and the right kind of spicy. Fries are very good and they use Heinz ketchup! Love the traditional boudin balls with ranch. Service is super fast. The place was remodeled a few years back and it is much nicer ambience. They have the modern coke machines too. I have been coming here since I was a kid and it was called Cousan, anywho I recently stopped in and spent well over $53 for my food I ordered a extra 4 boudin balls and my meal came with 2. My boyfriend ordered shrimp on the side for his meal so when we got our wings and I saw he didn't have his shrimp and I didn't have my extra boudin balls I didn't worry. They called our ticket number to come get the shrimp but I noticed I didn't get my boudin balls, when I brought this to the attention of the worker in the front they tried to tell me they gave me 4 boudin balls, I disagreed and they asked to see my food mind you it came with 2 boudin balls that I had already eaten. I honestly didn't think it would be a problem to just give me the 4 I was missing seeing as I'm a frequent customer and I'm always here but no they called the manger and tried to make a scene and say they would call the police on me so I asked for a refund. I was given a refund and didn't come back for at least a month or 2. I recently came back and was told they are refusing my service because of the last incident. The service was slow, and the cashiers seemed overwhelmed one of them was eating her food in the front I'm guessing she's new because I had never seen her there she's a little dark complected on the petite side one of the ladies from the back came to tell her she wasn't supposed to be eating in the front the cashier gave her a nasty attitude and as soon as the lady left to the back the cashier rolled her eyes. and stuck her tongue out that is very unprofessional I'm guessing the restaurant has new management because things seem to be out of control, The food was overcooked, and the fries were lukewarm. when I brought this to the other young lady's attention (cashier) she only smiled and said she couldn't do anything about it didn't offer a solution or any type of discount. for the prices they're charging, I expect better quality and service ambiance-wise, the music was to loud, making conversation difficult..... this place would be a nice place to chill with friends/ family if they had perhaps better staff training or having people that actually wanna work , this needs to be brought up to the owner so they can actually make better changes on customer service, overall, I'd suggest looking elsewhere for better dining experience. read more

It took me to some app call chow now we ordered our food and it took almost an hour to get to us. Our food was cold and wrong. I reported it to the app as it was placed with them. They contacted the store to see about refunding me as the quality was horrible (cold) and it was wrong. They told me the store is denying my request and I would have to bring the food to the restaurant if I want a refund. I called the store to talk to them directly. I asked who I was speaking to and he said his name was Oscar. I asked to talk to the manager. He said her name was Mirna. He puts me on hold and then comes back and ask do I speak Spanish because she ONLY speaks Spanish. I said no and then asked who the GM of the store was he said Mirna. So you're telling me your GM only speaks Spanish the person in charge of EVERYTHING. ok. I then told him put her on the phone as my brother can speak Spanish and I needed this resolve. He then tells me he can remake my food if I just bring the food back so they can see proof I'm not lying about my meal being wrong as this is their POLICY. I already provided that proof with the app and gave them a picture when they asked for one to show proof it was wrong. The whole point of order delivery is to not leave the house. After much back and forth he tells me the manager said it's ok to do the refund but that I'd have to tell the app since I order through them. Are you serious?!? Fine I got a hold of them again to reach back out to the store to process the refund. After all this I will never order from you guys and everyone who does research about you before they order needs to know about this and how you handle making mistakes. Using my recent visit as an example, I just don't think there's any way I can continue to visit as frequently as I have been the last 15 years. There have been continuous price hikes, and the most recent ones COMBINED with the surcharge of bone-in wings is too much to tolerate in my opinion. I understand a wing shortage, but other wing spots don't have these price hikes for bone-in wings. I also gotta say, I HOPE they're temporary. All of that MIGHT be ok to handle, but getting ANY wing THIS size like in the picture ensures I don't want to visit unfortunately. The cajun fries was really crunchy, but you can't really taste the cajun powder. There's no such thing as a water cup here. If you ask for water, they charge you for fountain drink. The customer service was average. It was my second time here. I got here around noon. Most people take their food to go so the restaurant was fairly clean. However, I understand the complaints about how messy the restaurant can get. My first time here was in the evening. The place was full and they didn't care much about the cleanliness. Great little wing place in North Shore. We ordered some Sweet Heat, Cajun Mojo, and Garlic Parmesan wings and all were tasty, with the majority of our group giving the most praise to the Sweet Heat. Took the order to go and they travel well and remained nice and hot even after 15 minutes. Cajun fries and the catfish were also tasty but, unfortunately, didn't travel as well - they lost some of the heat and crispiness by the time we were able to start eating. Boudin balls were quite possibly the highlight of all the items we ordered. Nice size and plenty of flavor. Again, would probably have been even better if we had eaten them there, right away but they were still stellar. The staff here are also nice (and patient, as we tried to finalize what we wanted). Our order of 50 wings plus everything else took about 10 minutes to prep and I think that was acceptable. Will def come back here again when I'm back in North Shore. Save yourself a trip to the much more well-known and -hyped Buffalo Wild Wings, Wing Stop, etc. I've tried them all multiple times and Bonfire is the best wing place in the area. We give Bonfire a solid 4/5 and that may have been higher if we had eaten the food right there in the restaurant, just after it was prepared and at the height of its heat and crispiness. read more

Particularly my lemon pepper wings were good I think I enjoyed how it was just flavored and not salty. So often I have to shake it off from the overkill of salty lemony pepper. What I didnt care for was the personal atmosphere. Yes this was still early on in the fashion of social distancing and metering crowd size but the way we communicate these expectations need to be thoughtful, precise, and clearly expressed. When a family waks in, barking to go back outside only 2 inside at a time isn't the way. Post it so it's available to see. Then you have cause to be direct in addressing an infraction. We all have a role in social distancing and safety measures just be tasteful in implementing your policies. read more

I have a love hate relationship with this place lol. I remember when it used to be $11 for the bonfire special. Now the price has drastically gone up and when they had expanded their business their wings were small ash for a while. Not sure if that was their fault or their distributor. We eat here ONCE a week and everytime they give us horrible dry wings or not cooked all the way fries we always give them another change but they just haven't been doing good.
