Been here before for crawfish plenty of times during crawfish season, best around, the Eastside, hands down. From crab legs to shrimp boils, you name it, with different spice levels. First time reviewing here though... But when crawfish season isn't in, atmosphere isn't the same. Authentic family owned Louisiana style, Vietnamese cooking. Cons, Down side, no wings are sold here at all. You'd think to implement wings when your hot seller is out. And generally those shrimp and rice plates are average based on the taste. I just come here for crawfish mainly when in season. If you tried other Vietnamese spots you'll understand what I'm saying. But rice can be too saturated with oil as well. Just my thought. But signature sauce makes rice taste better. No dirty rice here either? Not a bad choice around when wanting Cajun though. read more

I ordered this on grubhub, I'm at the Baytown flying J truck stop with limited food options. I got the fully loaded Geaux Box, and let me tell you, it was smashin. I can't speak for the actual establishment itself, because I've never been in it, but for the amount of food you get, for the price, especially how the Biden administration completely ravished our economy, it was well worth it. But it wasn't just the amount of food for the price, the shrimp, Crawfish tails, everything was on point. Even that sauce they have is fire! I asked in the special notes for them to send some Louisiana style hot sauce, but they didn't, so either they don't have it, or they just ignored it, but they sent a side of their signature sauce which was great. After I go to Wally world, and get some more supplies, and another bottle of my Louisiana red dot, the next time I'm here, I'll definitely order again. HIDDEN GEM We were in town unexpectedly and looking for somewhere to have good Cajun. Found this little restaurant and have nothing but praise. My wife had the Cajun pho and I had the 1 pound shrimp meal. Both were amazingly good. I had mine cooked in medium heat with garlic. No complaints. The staff was very attentive. I tried the hot flavored crawfish and they were just alright. Some seemed rubbery but they did give me an extra pound with the 5 I bought. I did doctor them up with lemon juice because the chili powder was heavy but not spicy hot. The potatoes and corn were good but I believe those were in the garlic butter sauce. I just wanted to give the business a shot since they are in the neighborhood. I'm not sure what the rest of their food is like but they did have quite a bit of pick up orders ready. I've eaten from this place at least 30x over the past 3 years since they've been open. I have enjoyed many foods from this place. I love it but it doesn't love me. Well it's the start of crawfish season and I'm doing a crawL through Houston. This is the my second stop and I am glad I came here. The lady at the counter was friendly. You order at the counter, pay and then wait for your bag of seafood deliciousness. I wasn't sure if i wanted the garlic butter or the geaux flavor so she brought out two little samples so that I could try them both. I decided on 3 lbs of the geaux flavor medium spice with a corn and a potato. The current crawfish special was 5.99 lb. Buy 5lbs get one free. Also if you spend more than $20 you get an order of Beignets FREE. Thes crawfish were a good size, taste flavorful and fresh. I was in heaven while eating them. I asked to try this butter sauce (50 cents additional) they use for the fried rice and i liked it. Dipped my crawfish, potato and corn in it. Judge me if you want to. They had a bib and gloves for me. Eating crawfish can messy so i have to protect my attire and fingers. I had a great dining experience here and I'll be back soon. read more

I'm surprised there aren't that many Yelp reviews.I never write same day reviews but this food was good I had to.I tried the Geaux flavor in HOT in the Seafood Box and King Crab Legs and it was so good and so spicy, we were still talking about it after we finished eating. Visited Geaux Cajun for the first time. I got the fried fish which was a mistake. I asked what type of fish it was and was told it was catfish. Well it was some type of frozen fish which was not fresh and I hate when all the batter separates when you put your fork into it and exposed dry fish underneath. The fries were ok and the shoestring onions had too much batter and had a load of salt which made the whole meal inedible and had to be thrown away! I know their main sell is crawfish and I probably should have gotten a dish with crawfish but i wanted fish. However, if you have it on your menu, everything should be satisfactory. Do not recommend eating here! I ordered the crawfish etouffee and it came out with a white sauce and I was very confused. Anyone who knows how to cook this dish know it does not have a white sauce! When I got home the shrimp was very very tough. I could only eat half of my food. I called in today to complain and the manager was nice enough to replace my order. She instructed me to order when I got to the restaurant. I placed my order and it was order was ready within four minutes. She assured me that the shrimp was cooked fresh. I went home and I could only eat three of the shrimp because they were rubbery and tough. I took them back to the store and she tried to explain to me that the shrimp is cooked fresh. They are doing one of two things at this restaurant. 1. They are purchasing Pre-cooked shrimp and heating it up with a customer places an order. 2. They are pre-cooking the shrimp and heating it up when a customer orders. Either way they are selling over cooked shrimp! It's a shame because they actually have a pretty good concept and the food is tasty. I will not be buying from this restaurant any longer! read more
