Food was good and prices and promos are a bonus. Service was mid, but bareable. Their drink menu has a lot of good varieties. I enjoyed the margaritas flight, as well as some cold pacificos. read more

I'm from San Antonio and was really hoping for some top-tier seafood while visiting Baytown especially considering we're literally in Baytown, a place you'd expect fresh and flavorful seafood. We were seated immediately on a Saturday night, which was a huge plus. The vibe was lively and our server was friendly and accommodating throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to expectations. We started with the calamari, which arrived cold and clearly not fresh. We sent it back and were brought a "fresh" order... but it still tasted old. Just not appetizing. My fries also had to be sent back cold and tasted like they'd been sitting for a while. Something else to note: gratuity is already included, but the receipt also includes a line for "additional gratuity" that isn't clearly explained. It feels a bit misleading, and I'm not a fan of that. Overall, it wasn't the worst dining experience, but I've had much better seafood back home in San Antonio. Solid service, but the food just didn't deliver. read more

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with a smile. I have a fav waitress her name is Yadira she's always super nice, friendly and is always having a laugh with ya. The food is always great. Everything from their apps to just their regular meals. Didn't get any good pics today but . Today I tried their coconut shrimp and it was perfect! Of course you can't skip their micheladas and their #1 always hits the spot. Oh they have this green salsa that's delicious that only comes with their empanadas but I'm sure if you ask nicely they give you a bit to sample. read more

My family ordered close to $200 worth of seafood yesterday (05/11/25) to go from this Mambo's Restaurant for Mother's Day. When we got home we were extremely disappointed and upset to say the least. Not only did they ruined our Mother's Day dinner but they took us for fools, wasted our time, and money. Here's what we ordered: 1. The family pack #2, 2. The Grilled Octopus signature plate, and 3. Large Más Especial Rice. Here's what they got wrong: 1. Our family pack meal didn't come with the bread it was supposed to come with, 2. The grilled octopus was undercooked and the to go plastic container they put the food in had a little hole in it so the octopus sauce was leaking, 3. The Más Especial Rice shouldn't be called Más Especial Rice. It should be called the Minus Not Especial Rice because it had little to no shrimp, chicken, or pork. This was upsetting!! They took advantage that it was a busy day because any other day-- we would have gone back to get our money back!! So, they took us for fools and we paid extra for just veggie fried rice. 4. They also told us the food would be ready in about 30 minutes. We understood it was a busy day so we waited over an hour!! The least they could have done was make sure our order was made correctly and not missing anything. 5. When we got home, we also found out that our brother had taken his wife to this same Mambo's a few weeks earlier. They were the only couple waiting for a table of two. However, the hostess gave away their table to another couple who walked in a few minutes after them just because they knew them or maybe because they were the same nationality. We will never know the reason but it was wrong! We don't recommend Mambo's Restaurant for all the above reasons and hope this detailed review helps someone else. Mambos Restaurant you're unprofessional and don't care about customer experience. People work hard for their money so when y'all treat people's to go food orders like this it's called a scam!! Mambo's has lost our business!! read more

Great staff service, slow food delivery after ordering, somewhat hard rice, good fish and shrimp. Tasty, crunchy fries. Good rolls, and salmon balls, casual ambiance. Ordered 3 family meals for our party of 13. Good salsas. Had a good time here, most everyone enjoyed the meal. Lots of food. read more

Pretty good food at a great price! The atmosphere is very lively and loud, with plenty of spacing. The interior is quite clean and our waitress was efficient and did a good job. I ordered the fried shrimp and stuffed crab platter. Food was fresh and good, but all components lacked a bit of flavor. Breading wasn't super flavorful and fried rice wasn't as well, but besides that I thought everything was great! read more

Went it tonight (7/18/21) for dinner at this location everything went great till we received the food went to cut my roll open to find mold. The manager on duty told us it was the knife we cut it open with. This is a edit to my review since I cannot reply to Samantha we did not consume the food after this was seen so you're right the food should have been comped due to us not consuming it Daniela is very unprofessional she even told me she didn't care that I was going to leave a review. Where are you saying the mold came from than???? we are a long time mambos customer but will not be returning to mambos we will go down to the street to a competitor. read more

Waiters are very nice here! The food was absolutely delicious as well! 10/10 would always recommend! Gabby especially is very friendly!

Pretty much like a sports bar setting the price are affordable and the ambiance is relaxing

Warning: this is a family atmosphere...cafeteria feel...kind of place. I'd get it to go next time instead of paying $5 a beer. Calamari: Meh. Served with tartar sauce. Stuffed jalapeños: Meh. Served with tartar sauce. He had the mambo combo. Waaaay too much fried food. That was our bad...we didn't pay attention to the menu that it was all fried. The grilled vegetables included two red potatoes, 1 zucchini piece, 2 red bell pepper pieces, 1 carrot and 1 green bell pepper piece. Skimpy, but he liked them. The salad is lettuce with one slice of tomato and one slice of cucumber. The saving point was my bacon wrapped shrimp. I'm going back for that. Hands down. Fries were whatever. Salad I didn't really bother with. But 6 bacon wrapped shrimp for $15 was a great deal. He also got the shrimp fried rice. It's really Chinese style fried rice. For the extra $2, you can get it habanero style. We didn't taste that at all. So we feel like we got the short end of that. read more

They made us feel at home and at ease. We don't speak Spanish, so we had someone explain all the menu options to us. We had the whole snapper and it was awesome! You shouldn't order that unless you are willing to eat with your fingers and spit out bones, but if you are, then WOW! A chelada is a great drink to go with it. Now here is what we went perfect on, we split the fish and got extra veggies. No way I would have let my wife have the corn and I don't think she would let me have the potato, but we both got the full deal and loved them. Wish I had a Mambo in Fort Worth. (PS My wife says the mangorita is the bomb) read more

Food was overpriced and hardly any chicken in the chicken fried rice. Will not be back. Just gross.

Excellent customer service and good food. Nice place to spend with freinds and family.

Been was cold and the food was mediocre at best. Don't make same mistake I did. Go across the interstate to Pappadeaux

Joanna and alondra by far have the best service always super nice funny as hell as well I keep going back because of them give them a raised

Not very good experience. Once we got seated we waited 35 min before we were waited on. Got my order wrong. Said the waitress "misunderstood". I showed the food and she repeated it. My wife had the shrimp and stuffed crab and fried rice. She said the rice was the best part. She had 2 bites left when my food finally came. I have no idea how this place had such a high rating. And it was packed all day. read more

The location of this place is confusing to non-locals, but that's the worst of it. It's cafeteria style, so very casual, but the menu is extensive and reasonably priced. We had the calamari for an appetizer, and I had the shrimp basket; my husband and had the crawfish. All were delicious with large portions. Service was quick and attentive. read more

There is something delightful about being able to recognize all of the ingredients in the dish that you ordered, but given those same ingredients in your own kitchen you know you couldn't replicate the dish. That is how I felt about my street corn and shrimp tostada at mambo seafood. It was simple but extremely delicious and I'm so happy that I braved the strange frontage roads of Texas to have dinner there. The only mystery that remains was the frozen margarita: definitely frozen, but whether it actually contained tequila we'll never know ‍ read more

The two stars are in regards to the food. It tastes good and is consistent to other mambo's. The rest of this review is about the service. I have been to this place twice and both times it was the same. I am usually not one to leave a bad review, if you don't believe me check the rest of my yelp. But both times I was here the service was slower than my great grandma trying to run a mile. There are clear under staffing problems. It took forever to get our order taken, forever to get our food and drinks, and even longer to get our check. If you are looking to waste your time than this place is the place for you! read more

We were in Houston on business and the restrictions had just been lifted on restraunts. We ordered the fried Calamari as an appetizer which was really big, however more gristle then Calamari. Not too good. I ordered grilled Red Snapper in scampi sauce with a side of rice. It was good but overloaded with onions. I would go back again but most likely change my order. read more
