We came here with a group of 8 a few weeks ago spur of the moment on a Friday night and had a great time! The employees, while few, were SO kind and professional. They put a lot of love into their craft! The restaurant is beautifully and authentically decorated, and there are a lot of tables! The food takes some time to make, but we have been here twice and have thought it delicious both times! Consider this home-y restaurant for your date night or family outing!

Loved this Peruvian place! Food was amazingly delicious! Everybody loved their plate and we all left satisfied and full as the portions were quite large! Definitely recommend this place for some Peruvian good!

My husband is Peruvian and it's hard to find restaurants that taste like home cooked meals. Great food! Would highly recommend!

The food is bad, and the service as well. I love Peruvian food, but la cageta is an insult to Peruvian food.

The lomo saltado is so good. The price is not too high and for the quantity and taste was great.

The best ceviche I had in a while. Highly recommended. Went there around 4 pm and it wasn't too crowded, so got our food fast.

The rotisserie chicken was so juicy and had so much flavor. I loved dipped it in the green sauce. I also enjoyed the Peruvian friend rice and all of the flavor that came with it. The fries were also homemade, crispy, and not super oily at all. The beef was seasoned great and had a lot of good flavor. Everything was super flavorful and tasty. It looks like they are expanding so I hope they make it a nicer interior! Overall, I will be back and I definitely recommend!

The flavors were perfect, the vegetables were well cooked and bright in color, the fries were good, and the rice was delicious. The only problem was that the meat was really tough, like, hurt my jaw to chew, tough. My husband had the 1/4 pollo a la brasa. It was well cooked, still moist, and well seasoned. The fries were pretty limp though. I ordered a side of fried ripe plantains and they were delicious. They were perfectly ripe and cooked all the way through with the right caramelization. Service was really lacking. They have "Help Wanted" signs and they really needed the help. It took about 20 minutes to get the entres and another 10-15 minutes to get the plantains and drinks. The floor and the tables were dirty. Hopefully they'll be able to hire help soon.

Beware of this restaurant, extremely dishonest management…read more The management at this location deserves zero stars. If you are using a coupon, be prepared to be misled and treated poorly. We used a Starving Student coupon before at the Provo location without any issues. This time, we used the same coupon at the Orem location. The deal clearly states Buy 1 entrée, get 1 free (saving $17.99), as shown in the screenshots. We ordered two half-chicken entrées. The cashier scanned the coupon, charged us, and told us the wait time would be about 20 minutes. At no point were we told there were any restrictions. After waiting 20 minutes, the cashier brought out the food and then informed us that "the boss's mom said" that because we used a coupon, we were only allowed ¼ chicken, not half. This was never disclosed when we ordered, and directly contradicts both the coupon and our previous experience at the Provo location. We were told this was a "new rule." This is misleading, dishonest, and false advertising. I asked to speak directly with the boss's mom, but she refused to come out and instead hid in the kitchen, sending the employee to act as a mediator. We were then told she "doesn't speak English." Ironically, my husband speaks Spanish and suddenly she was "too busy" to speak to us at all. This is an unacceptable way to treat customers. The cashier at the front was the only helpful and professional person there. She even disagreed with the situation, but could not approve a refund without a manager. She had to call twice before we finally received our refund. Bottom line: If you don't want to honor a deal, don't offer it. This is false advertising and completely unethical. Hiding in the kitchen instead of addressing customers is unprofessional and embarrassing for a business. This restaurant should either honor the Starving Student deal as advertised or remove it entirely. I'm posting this so others don't go through the same experience. I will not support a business that operates like this. This review will also be sent directly to the restaurant's management team and to Starving Student's management.

For food, the calmari frita it was called but it was squid, some kind of white fish, shrimp along with fried, thinly sliced red onion, bell pepper and jalapeño. GET THIS, one of the best things of the night! When you do get it, make sure you get bites of the chopped veggie mixture that's buried under all the fried goodness, thank me later. Main course, we got the Parillada de Buenos Aires, this is where the issues start, our waiter said we were able to sub out a couple of the items on platter as tripe and sweetbreads (the glands of a veal if you weren't aware) are not things we enjoy. So we swapped them out for a chicken milenesa and a grilled chicken breast. It also came with 1 each of the sides that were pretty basic, and honestly lacked flavor in comparison (rice, potato salad, house salad, mashed potatoes and roasted veggies). Then the meats it comes with, a half chicken, a 12 oz skirt steak, 4 short ribs, some other grilled cut of meat (menu doesn't specify what kind) and a variety of sausages. The waiter, through super nice, totally messed up the substitutions. He brought them out but from the time ordered to the time we ate was about an hour, and for the correct food to come out took even longer. The food itself was pretty good, meats had great flavor and the milenesa when it came out was hot and juicy. The meats didn't need any dipping sauce because they were that well seasoned. Dessert we had the lemon "cheesecake" which was just a lemon cake with a cream cheese type frosting, not at all what you think of with a cheesecake.

Red Fuego I visited…read moreRed Fuego at Traverse Mountain after hearing several good recommendations, so I arrived with fairly high expectations. When I got there, the restaurant was clean and well organized, and there were not many customers at the time, which made the atmosphere feel calm and relaxed. The service was average. It wasn't unfriendly, but it also wasn't particularly warm or memorable. I ordered the arroz chaufa, and in terms of flavor I have to say it was very tasty. The rice itself had great seasoning and a really nice flavor. However, the dish was a bit disappointing because it was almost entirely rice--the chicken was practically nonexistent. For a dish like this, you expect a better balance of ingredients, and unfortunately the main protein was missing. Sadly, this made the overall experience not the best, especially considering the positive recommendations I had heard before visiting. I hope they can improve the consistency of their dishes and the proportion of ingredients, because the flavor of the rice shows that the kitchen has the potential to deliver a much better experience.
