Taco Al Pastor, Taco Gringa, Quesadilla, nachos, Torta

Super busy and smaller seating area. It was tough to find a spot for a bigger group. But it was clean and nice. Food was fresh and had good taste. They give you three different salsa options and they do have a happy hour for some combos.

Came by on a Saturday early afternoon. We ordered some tacos, torta, and I wanted to try something new so I also ordered a costra! I came for the torta specifically, but I will return again soon to have the costra again!! Wow, it was kind of like an Al pastor burrito, but the shell being cheese and the inside being loaded with cheese as well. It was the show stopper for me! I can't wait to have it again! The torta and tacos were also delicious as we expected! We came pretty soon after they opened and it wasn't busy yet. But several parties of people started coming in as we were leaving. We got our food quite quick after ordering. With the menu being so focused on Al pastor, the employee we interacted with was very knowledgeable about the menu. If you order to stay, they'll give you a wood holder thing that contains two sauces and some napkins. I only tried the green sauce labels mild- but it was good, a really nice addition to the main focus which is thAl pastor. I'm telling you, if you are in the area, stop by and you will not be disappointed!!

I saw this listed on the Best Tacos in Each State list and decided to try it out. It was just as good as I hoped it would be. A great taco! The meat was cooked to perfection with amazing flavor and paired with fresh toppings. Service was quick, especially for how busy it was and they were clearing and washing tables rapidly. The vine inside was clean and simple and I liked the large lettering on the outside windows.

Food is great close to the original Al pastor ambiance is good small but good...service....i wish the person who takes the order quit flirting with the customer when the line is getting more populated

Holiness is found in this beautiful taco. The Al pastor taco was my overall favorite. I love the simple menu. The Gordita was recommended and is the equivalent of 3 tacos. The nachos had plenty of yummy cheese. The chips were not my favorite and it needed some tomatoes. The cheese taco was good and similar to the Gordita! Will def be back.

Was up in the Provo Orem area and looking for a highly rated taco spot. Holy Tacos has really good ratings and so I was excited to try them. They feature just one choice of meat Al Pastor, of which I am a big fan. You can have it as a street taco, with cheese, as a larger taco (gringa), on nachos, you get the point. But the flavor was just okay. I ordered two Al Pastor tacos and a third one with cheese, .50 upgrade. 3/5 Nachos with cheese and loaded heavily with Al Pastor meat. The green salad dressing was really good on it, but would have liked more. 3/5 My wife got the Gringa, large Al Pastor taco. 3/5 All in it was just okay. Not nearly as good as the Al Pastor at Chunga's or Luna Del Mar street cart in SL.

Taco Al Pastor - so good!!!

Such good tacos!!! Our only regret was only ordering two tacos. They are quite small.

Loved the dishes. However, because of how the protein comes from a singular pork kebab, the flavor profile is rather singular. The use of pineapple was a great touch to cut the fat and richness of the dishes. Overall, i couldn't tell the tacos apart despite the use of additional toppings because of the use of the only same type of pork.

I had heard great things about Holy Taco, so we went for lunch and I was not disappointed! I was unsure about Al Pastor being the only option, but they make it so well, that I understand why they keep their menu simple. The tacos were fresh and delicious. I got the street tacos, which also comes with onions, cilantro and pineapple. The pineapple was the perfect compliment to the pork and I'm craving another taco right now just thinking about it. The location is a little obscure, but it's not difficult to find. Try Holy Taco next time you're in the area!

Ask the Community - Holy Taco

Do you cook with dairy free ingredients?

We have cheese on some products you can ask which ones and ask for no cheese on them, the rest of the food is Dairy Free.

How are the gluten free options here? Is the meat itself gluten free with seasonings and sauces?

Hi, yes the regular tacos are Gluten Free, we have several customers coming back just tell the cashier you are Celiac and they will know not to mix up ypur order with Flour tortillas. :)

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and it didn't disappoint. Their menu is simple…read morewith only a handful of options but I honestly prefer going to a place where they master their menu rather than try to do it all. The vibe inside is really cool and cozy. We ordered their Carnita Tacos and chilaquiles con crema, both were really good especially the tacos! They tasted so fresh with the pickled cucumber, YUM. My only complaint was that the chilaquiles were a little cold, they still tasted really good just not as warm as I would've liked.

The vibe that Motel West emulates is a modern country vibe. The menu and fonts they used are…read moreadorable but lack cultural significance that usually comes with these kinds of places ! Seating is pretty poorly done, the inside of the restaurant was BOILING hot...we literally requested to sit outside because of how humid it felt inside. It seems not well ventilated and so the cooking was adding to the heat indoors. Seats were all different and lacked consistency in furniture choices. After seating, our waitress got to us pretty late. Waters didn't have ice which I think is a poor choice in ANY establishment. Cooled water gets to be room temp fast !!! Our food took a LONG time to come. I ordered the Rajas burrito with pollo, which came to about $12 before tax...an expensive burrito ! The chicken used in the Rajas burrito is the same chicken from a different burrito - as the waitress told me. They only have ONE type of grilled chipotle chicken that they just add into everything, which I view as a lazy course of action. My burrito came and I found myself disappointed by the size. For a $12 burrito and a 20+ minute wait ? Not worth it ! However, the flavor was well done and the cheese + beans came to be very creamy. They provided a "hot sauce" which tasted more like a sweet mango-y salsa. My burrito was also poorly wrapped and fell apart as I ate it but watched my friends who had tightly wrapped burritos enjoy their meals. So the inconsistency is disappointing, especially for the time that it seemingly took for the food to be made. Overall, I think this is an overly americanized Mexican place. It's like a missionary came home from the south americas and wanted to bring "culture" to Utah. It's disappointing to see the small portions for bigger prices. Service was poor and our waitress rarely checked in other than to drop off a jug of water for us to self-poor our cups. (Which I didn't see done for the table next to us. So I believe this was a lazy choice on our waitresses part.) Though the business seemed busy, the food, service, and overall atmosphere were lacking. I believe the food came short of the authenticity and charm that usually comes with latin food restaurants.

RUN here. From the…read moresecond we walked in everything was on point. Greeted immediately, taken care of the entire time, water never empty. Service like this just makes the whole experience. The space is so cute. Clean, simple, pretty, and there is an upstairs private area that is such a vibe. Now the food. Wow. Queso fundido was insane. The jalapeños had the perfect kick and the homemade tortillas are hands down the best tortillas. I would go back just for those. Empanadas and tinga tostados were packed with flavor but listen to me... GET THE LAMB. It was unreal. And then dessert. The hibiscus poached pear with whipped cream. Light, unique, not too sweet, just perfect. Everything was beautifully plated. Every single thing felt intentional. 10 out of 10. Cannot wait to go back next time I am in Utah.

This is not an inexpensive restaurant. My favourite go to meal is anything Mexican. The chicken taco had no flavour at all. No spices nothing. One taco was dripping grease the other had no grease. The pork taco had a flavor. Good combination of ingredients that made it interesting The beef taco was gamey and tough. We kept chewing the beef, but the toughness won and we gave up. Pretty disappointed in the meal especially in relation to the price point of the meal.
