I'm so glad my little boy wanted to get chips and salsa here when he saw us drive by this place. The salsa was so good!!!! I like how the chips and salsa came with a medium sized cup of salsa. I also ordered a steak taco, pork taco, and a cheese quesadilla, after we tired the chips and salsa. My little boy ate his quesadilla with a smile, saying how good it was. The tacos came with guacamole in them. My favorite was the steak. The steak was more shredded than sliced like I had anticipated. The salsa bar was great and clean. The employees here were so nice. I like how the building is similar to a food trailer you order from, then can sit outside and enjoy the weather. Next time I'm in Provo, I will be stopping to get so good food here. Yum! read more

Normally don't have any issues with the food here. I Ordered a carne asada burrito and it was full of nervy meat. I was very disappointed. The grilled chicken is amazing the only problem is I ordered it through DoorDash and they add nopales (cactus) to the chicken which was super super super spicy. It ran into the chicken and was not able to enjoy the chicken because it was too spicy to eat. Tip, do have the chicken just don't order through DoorDash and tip 2 don't order the carne asada burrito. read more

Be prepared for LARGE servings. My quesadilla was bigger than my head and it was filled with so much meat. Delicious. I like that they sell Sangria and Jarrito's sodas. We were hungry, headed to SLC airport, passing through Provo, and husband wanted a burrito. Found Brassas. He got the Loco Burrito; I got the burrito bowl. Mine was asada beef, refried beans, rice, guacamole, and a huge flour tortilla. The meat was fairly good- no grizzle, not dry, but way heavily smokey flavor (like liquid smoke). The guacamole had a lot of very large chopped onion. The portion was large, and I only ate about half. It needed pico or whatever- they have a condiment bar, but I avoid that bc of covid...) Joe's was much tastier with grilled peppers, onions- tasting similar to fajitas. It was enormous, btw!!! If you want a lot of food for not a lot of money, cooked pretty quickly, and decent quality, this is a good place. I wasn't thrilled, and gave it 3 stars for my choice, but it's likely other choices would have been better, and the quality was decent. read more

I loved the ambience, with its run down feel and the salsa bar left under the sun to heat up. I loved the kids playing all around where you order the food. I loved the menu. I especially loved the food. The Birria (still can't say that word) Birria, birria, nope, still don't got it, but it is delicious. Amazing. Just so good. I got the carne asada burrito y vaya, que fiesta en mi boca. I didn't leave hungry either as it was MASSIVE! Alex, thanks for the tip on the tacos azteca. Take Al pastor and wrap it with cheese you sear until it's brown and wonderful. What's not to like. The fish tacos were excellent. No complaints on the food. The dining facilities not so hot. I understand it's a take-out setup. However, it's not against the law to label things on the toppings tray. It's not against the law to keep the facilities generally clean. I understand you can't help the ignorant parents with screaming kids. At least there are multiple areas to eat to get away from them. So, understand the dining facilities are weak, but the food is really good. That said, these are not dollar tacos, or even two dollar tacos, so there are real sit down places that are cleaner with good food at the same price. They just don't have tacos azteca. read more

I'm not a common reviewer and I wish I would have photographed my meal because it was not only beautiful, but so mouthwatering. I got their Birria bowl, which came with 4 Birria tacos and Birria Ramen. I was nervous about the spice because the ramen is Tapatio flavored and the gentleman didn't lie about the spice. It's was still so enjoyable, even though it was spicy. The Birria taco was amazing and so cheesy! The ramen was a bit spicy, but I'm also very sensitive to spice. Only thing I would change is having more Birria consume and meat in the ramen. But holy cow! Chefs kiss!! My daughters burrito was huge!!! She wasn't a fan of the beans, but she's a picky eater. read more

This place doesn't look like much, but looks are deceiving. The burritos are huge and stuffed with grilled meat, beans, rice and guacamole. I also ordered their horchata which is delicious. Manager made a mistake on my order and refused to correct. I ordered a large number of $1.30 flour tacos from the menu at the order counter. (See photo) The Manager charged my credit card $2.25 per taco. I questioned the mistake to the manager and she pointed to the piece of foil on the wall with circles and prices hand written in sharpie. One of the circles had $2.25 corn written next to it (See photo). Manager said that's what I ordered. I asked her how could that could be when I ordered flour and the foil sign only says corn. The only taco on the gigantic menu in front of me that I could have ordered is the $1.30 taco? The manager doubled down on the inappropriateness of their menu/ pricing, refused to correct the bill. When I took photos of the menu, I told the manger it was for a review. She still declined to correct. Very poor business practices. read more

Nice to know there's an authentic Mexican place in Provo. Honestly I probably prefer tex mex most the time but this place was good and I'd go back again. I had the chicken tacos. I liked that the tacos were not lacking on meat and came topped with guac and pico. It's also nice that the restaurant seating is outside, perfect for Summer nights. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is for their lack of genuinely mild salsas. They technically have 2 mild salsas but they are so not mild. ha either that or I'm an absolute wuss. It was on par for what you could get for $3 at a a I cart in downtown SLC. Very expensive and would force them to eat tacos next time. They only have bottled sodas for $2 a pop. Tasty n' cheap! I've had their fish, shrimp and steak tacos (and in burrito form as well as nachos). Everything was fantastic - especially given the affordable prices. Veronica (and I think her husband) run the small taco cabana and they're real nice folks. They have a couple charcoal grilles outside where they cook up the steak and other choice meats. The fish/shrimp are friend inside the little cabana and come out perfectly crispy - neither too light or heavy on the battered coating - so Goldilocks. I'm a little upset that I haven't eaten here sooner since I've driven by the place a hundred times or so. However I just happened to be on a stroll with my youngest daughter and though we'd have a little daddy/daughter lunch. I'm glad we did and I've taken the rest of my family back there a couple times now. This might be my new favorite Mexican joint. Oh and they serve glass bottle coke from Mexico - the good stuff.
