    Birria Plate

Brasas is personally my go-to for Mexican food in Utah County. Service is fast and they have a wide variety of food. I've gotten their lengua burrito and the lengua was tender and burrito was huge. I always get the birria plate; it comes with 4 birria tacos + cup of soup on the side, rice, beans, guac, cilantro & onions, lettuce, and cactus (my favorite side on the dish!!). It's just a huge plate of food that's yummy and filling. Don't forget to load up on salsa and other things at the table around the corner from the cash register!

We ordered food here for a big group of 19 people. I called a week in advance to try and see if they could take a reservation for us. They told me to make it 1-2 days in advance. But then the day before someone went over and asked if they could put together tables and make a reservation but they said they don't reservations. But on the day of we decided just to order take out and they took an hour to make the food. They did a great job logistically estimating when the food would be ready and packing everything neatly, labeling them well. However, they forgot to pack enough forks and spoons for both the meals and the salsas. It was also weird that they don't make custom breakfast burritos even though we were asking for items already on the menu that wouldn't have been expensive like eggs. The food overall was just fine - there was a lot of meat and substance in each plate but the smokiness of the meat was kind of a turnoff to many folks. Their nachos were also missing more ingredients like sour cream and salsas for flavor. The food was just okay but I'm not sure I would order for a large group here again.

Taco loco...so good! Really good tacos. Service was great. Surprised the place wasn't packed on Saturday night.

Food is affordable and mega-delicious. Every bite of the pastor tacos with guac n pineapple was like a festival and firework show...off the chain! Highly recommend... it's a simple sit-down outside venue. All good, I'm here for the food!! Sorry I ate the before the pics. My bad... that taco, super bad as in super bueno!

Food was okay but I asked for no onion twice. The guy understood brought me the food smiling knowing it had onion.

Good Mexican street food in Provo UT We had just flew in from Sacramento. First travel out of state after lockdown. We haven't had lunch so we were hungry and had a late dinner here in the city of Provo, where we were staying this Memorial Day weekend. We were not sure if we were able to dine inside the restaurant. The doors were unlocked... we went inside for a dine-in experience. Inside the dining room was empty other than a family of 3. We placed our order at the counter. The employees were friendly. The cook brought our food to our table. Not sure what the COVID-19 guidelines were for the State of Utah but none were wearing masks. They seemed more lax here unlike California. Hubby and I each had a steak burrito. Within a few minutes we were served our food. Whoa, wow... the burritos were huge! Inside were rice, beans, guacamole and pico de gallo... and this was just their regular burrito. They have specialty burritos too. I also had a steak mulita... had to compare from our local Chando's Tacos. So much food for one person. Hubby and I could've shared one order. Anyway, I could only eat 1/3 of my burrito but everything was tasty, meat was tender with flavorful spices... delicious! We enjoyed the dine in experience while traditional northern Norteño Mexican music played in the background. Review #1782

I loved it here. I felt as if I was transported into an impoverished Hispanic world in a nice town. As I enjoyed my delicious food I couldn't help but notice the beautiful Mexican families I was sitting next to using their HARD EARNED money to enjoying this slice of home in this messed up country. I've never left Provo but this is what I imagine Mexico to feel like. Maybe one day I can take a friend here. ¡Muy Bueno! GOD DAMN I LOVE MEXICO!

What were we waiting for?! We've driven past this parking lot-outdoor eatery dozens of times and after five years in Utah we finally stopped in for lunch. Listen up: I just ate the best burrito I've ever had in my life, period: the Brasas Burrito, with steak, bacon and shrimp--unreal! The meat mix was closely ground and heavenly, wrapped up in a lightly browned flour tortilla, perfect. Their house chips and salsa are the best we've found in the state, fried up fresh on site, paired with a fiery-sweet blendered salsa (not misspelled) that's got just the right kick. We tried other samples from the salsa bar: a tangy mild green salsa, and something orange and wicked with plutonium highlights, too hot for these gringos. We have at long last discovered great Mexican food in the Beehive State!

    Steak burrito. Very good sized!!

Never been to Utah before so was looking around for some Mexican food. Found this place on yelp and figured I'd give it a shot. Let me warn you right now. If you are looking for traditional taco shop carne asada THIS IS NOT IT! This steak they have here is smoked. If you don't like smoky taste on your meat you don't want the steak here. Don't know how the Al Pastor or the chicken were but I'm assuming it's the same. Its not bad by any means I just don't like that smoky taste. Service was Excellent. The cashier was friendly and we got our food quickly. As far as portion size and price? You get a lot for your money!!! You won't leave hungry. Worth a try if your in the provo area.

I had never been to this restaurant and was a little overwhelmed by all the options on the menu, but the guy at the register was patient and helpful in explaining different options to me! I ended up getting three tacos - al pastor, carnitas, and steak. Al pastor was DELICIOUS and so flavorful, but I was a little bit disappointed by the lack of flavor in the other two. They have a salsa bar that helped that situation, I just wish there had been more flavor in the meat itself. My husband got one of their specialty burritos - I think the Tijuana - and was very happy with it! This location for Brasa is colorful and well decorated!! One downside was that all the tables were a little bit greasy, I wiped ours down with napkins to save my shirt sleeves.

The Beef Aztec Fries are seriously good.

Brasas is located by the closed Dollar Theater in Provo. That location used to be so hot. Now it's a deserted, rather creepy, location especially at night. First impression is that the ambiance is OK. It's comfortable and the interior fits the establishment. There's plenty of 2 seat and 4 seat tables. But when I looked closer, about 40% of the tables were dirty. Service: Walking in, there was no one at the register. There was a person in the kitchen who could see me but there was no acknowledgement. After several minutes of awkwardness, I called out to that person. That person didn't understand me. So, my Spanish speaking friend, spoke out in Spanish. Finally, we were acknowledged and another person came out the back to take our order... The condiment cart has OK sauces. I'm not 100% confident about the freshness. When I inspected the vegetables, it looked old and dry. I get the Aztec Beef Fries every time when I visit Brasas. I've tried to tacos and burritos and they are Okay. If it weren't for these fries, I would not return. In conclusion, Aztec Beef Fries are fantastic, the service is awkward, cleanliness and the condiment cart can use improving.

Yummy place I never knew about until now! I love how they give you your food in a flat aluminum tray. Great aesthetics! Fajitas were delicious. A LOT of food for one person so they make great leftovers :)

My waiter only barely spoke English but we could figure it out. The chips & salsa they set down was a mixed result. The chips were terrific. The salsa was a small kind of watery bowl that tasted much more sour than usual. It was okay. Just not as good as the chips. I ordered the Taconazo after ascertaining that it was a variant on carne asada. I asked if it came with tortillas. Si. It came pretty fast and he pointed to a station to one side of the dining area and said, "Salsas!" Sadly the salsa cups were tiny. I could barely fit any pickled onions inside. There were also some big jugs of various agua frescas there, nestled in ice. The "Taconazo" consisted of LOTS of onions, peppers, cheese, crispy bacon(!), cactus, and strips of steak. I liked it quite a bit. There was a bit of trouble at the end. My food was 15.99 but my bill was $21. So I asked for a itemized bill (tips weren't included). Turned out they'd charged me $2.99 for a fountain drink, but I'd only had water. I showed them the error. Rather than change the bill, they just handed me $3 in bills so that worked. (Yes I tipped.) Anyway good food with only minor glitches, and I'll be trying it again.
