Great loaction. Nice, quite atmosphere. Loved the vibrant colors used for decorating. Fast, friendly service. Huge servings. Delicious food. Chips and salsa served upon being seated.

The vibe was super fun. And our waiters were great. The enchiladas and refried beans -- amazing! Just wish it wasn't so expensive.. /:

Me gusta muchas!!!! This place is delicious. The cups and salsa. Delicious. The rice. Delicious. The tamales. Delicious! Highly recommend this authentic Mexican restaurant. Looking forward to trying more entrees here.

Delicious! Chips came out warm! Salsa had lots of flavor. There was a big menu to choose from. We ordered a Horchata, Chili Verde Smothered Burrito, and Chile Verde Chimichanga. All of it was excellent! The rice was really moist and fluffy and full of flavor. The Chimichanga was also very delicious with tender, juicy meat. Horchata was very yummy, not too rich, just right! Overall excellent experience. The SWEETEST waitress. Quick service. And fun atmosphere. Will be coming back regularly.

I had heard a lot of great things about this restaurant so I went out with my family. It was a Saturday evening and we got sat down right away. I was surprised there weren't very many people there but it was a little early for dinner. We had a hard time ordering because both people trying to help us didn't understand us very well. Which I do understand can be hard for them but it was also kind of frustrating because my son is almost 14 and didn't want to order a kid's meal but that's what they had him order even though he wanted a regular size meal even though we tried to explain. I felt rushed to order even though I wasn't ready. The chips were pretty good and the salsa was really great although a little runny. The food came out pretty quick. I was a little disappointed, it was good but not amazing. The cheese in the cheese enchilada was not melted. I did like the sauce on it. Everything tasted pretty good but it definitely could have been a little bit tastier. Everyone was really nice. But it wasn't my favorite Mexican restaurant experience. Oh, also I didn't like they had a TV playing with really old Mexican music videos and I felt like it was too scandalous for kids and I myself didn't really like it because it was so cheesy and outdated. It would be nice if they just didn't have that at all and just played music.

Came on a Saturday night for dinner and we were seated right away. Our server was excellent, provided great recommendations, and seemed to really appreciate his job. We started with the complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were served warm and had a nice seasoning on them. I loved the salsa and the freshness of the onion and cilantro! Our server recommended the Suizas chicken enchiladas and the chimichanga. I ordered the enchiladas and my husband ordered the carne asada chimichanga. The food came out fairly fast! I was definitely impressed with the enchiladas. They were packed full of chicken! The corn tortillas and the sauce went together so well. The green sauce was extremely flavorful-I really enjoyed it. The beans were pretty authentic and tasty. I thought they were great. My husband said his chimichanga was the best he's ever had at a restaurant. I tried it and it was delicious. The meat was tender and very flavorful. Overall, wonderful experience and delicious food. So glad this restaurant is in the valley! It all tasted really fresh and authentic. We enjoyed it very much and can't wait to go back again soon!

I tried a 44. Three Chicken Enchilladas Suizas Combo Plate but had one with mole and another changed to beef with red sauce.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The were willing to accommodate my request to try the three different sauces and two meats. In order of best part of my meal: 1: horchata- very good and worth getting 2: salsa was flavorful and seasoned well 3 : was the chicken enchiladas Suizas, the green sauce was flavorful 4: red beef enchilada 5: mole chicken enchilada. Compared to the others it wasn't as flavorful but still good! Overall I'd come back again.

Rating this place a 4.5 - but giving it a full 5 rather than 4 because it's somewhere I will definitely return to. This restaurant was actually a golden little find for me. For a Mexican joint it has everything I crave- gooooood Diet Coke- check. Comfortable bulky chairs- check. Chips and salsa- check. Yellow walls glittered with Hispanic influence- check! On top of all the little checks the food was fantastic. I ordered the Enchilada plate- flavors were delicious. My only complaint with the food- my tortillas were a little hard- maybe slightly stale? Only other downside was needing to flag someone down a couple times for drink refills. Seemed to be on top of it other than that. Excited to return:)

We loved this place! Food was great. My husband says this was the best carne asada burrito he has ever had. (You can only order the burritos under the a la carte section). I got the carne asada plate and thought it was delish!! Our friends got the chimichanga and molcajete, both of which were great. Portion sizes are very generous and the price is so affordable! $10-15 a person! Service was excellent. We had a huge party for a birthday and they had no problems seating us and tending to us promptly. Had lots of chips and salsa rolling out right when we needed it. Ambiance - it's a nice place with bright decorations. We were very comfortable!

Good Mexican food! The portions were so large we ended up with 2 leftover meals, which for $40/2 people was a great deal. The chips and salsa are my favorite I've found in Utah county so far. If they had a liquor license, they'd be a 5 star for me. Picture shows #20 combo

Maria Bonita offers a genuinely authentic Mexican dining experience that clearly reflects…read moretraditional flavors and cooking styles. The atmosphere and menu feel true to the culture, and it's refreshing to find a place that doesn't overly Americanize the cuisine. Many of the dishes capture that homemade, authentic quality that fans of traditional Mexican food will appreciate. That said, the experience wasn't perfect. The wait time was quite long, even when the restaurant didn't appear extremely busy, which made the visit feel a bit drawn out. Additionally, while the food was flavorful and authentic, some of the dishes came out a bit on the dry side. Another consideration is the price. While the quality and authenticity are good, the prices are noticeably high compared to other Mexican restaurants offering similar dishes. Overall, Maria Bonita is a solid choice if you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and don't mind paying a premium. With a few improvements to service speed and food moisture/texture, it could easily be a five-star experience.

The service was fast and attentive, the food came out quick, and then portions were large. I typically get combination plates when I go to Mexican food places so I can try a couple different things and I LOVED the beef tamale that was in my combination. The restaurant is smaller so it did get quite loud, but that's to be expected. The chips and salsa were yummy and we left with quite a bit of leftovers. I would go again and make sure to reserve ahead a time or do take out :)

RUN here. From the…read moresecond we walked in everything was on point. Greeted immediately, taken care of the entire time, water never empty. Service like this just makes the whole experience. The space is so cute. Clean, simple, pretty, and there is an upstairs private area that is such a vibe. Now the food. Wow. Queso fundido was insane. The jalapeños had the perfect kick and the homemade tortillas are hands down the best tortillas. I would go back just for those. Empanadas and tinga tostados were packed with flavor but listen to me... GET THE LAMB. It was unreal. And then dessert. The hibiscus poached pear with whipped cream. Light, unique, not too sweet, just perfect. Everything was beautifully plated. Every single thing felt intentional. 10 out of 10. Cannot wait to go back next time I am in Utah.

This is not an inexpensive restaurant. My favourite go to meal is anything Mexican. The chicken taco had no flavour at all. No spices nothing. One taco was dripping grease the other had no grease. The pork taco had a flavor. Good combination of ingredients that made it interesting The beef taco was gamey and tough. We kept chewing the beef, but the toughness won and we gave up. Pretty disappointed in the meal especially in relation to the price point of the meal.
