I really wanted to like this place. With the promise of Mexican food and Sinaloa style pollo, this place had the recipe to be amazing. Well, it wasn't. Why am I at least giving it 2 stars? The chicken was fine. Most of the bites had some flavor to them. The staff were also very friendly to me and my wife. That really matters. Now, with the good out of the way, let's talk about the bad. With all due respect to the cooks, the rice and beans had NO FLAVOR. I'm Brazilian, I breathe rice and beans, I also love Mexican rice and frijoles however they're served. All I'm saying is, I trust my palate for rice and beans. Unfortunately, this was not it. El Morelense in south Jordan has amazing rice and beans, as a fresh reference in my mind. My half chicken dish came with rice, beans, chicken, a jalapeño, and three tortillas. I didn't even feel like making a taco because I was so underwhelmed by the lack of flavor. My wife ordered a chicken burrito. She did not have a good time. She has a personal preference for white chicken meat, why am I telling you this? She asked the staff if the burrito contained any dark meat, one of the workers said no, so she went with it. Well... there was plenty of dark meat in the burrito and a lot of chicken nerve pieces, which neither of us are a fan of. The rice and beans in the burrito were the same as the ones from my meal, so they were pretty bland. One of the million reason, I do not recommend this spot is simple, The foooooodd was very bad!! The chicken was dry!!! The beans had no flavor nor the rice!! I'm glad i discovered this place, the chicken is grilled to perfection it was nice and moist and seasoned very well. I think the best part was the salsa they have goes very well with the chicken and rice. The service is also very good when I ordered I got my food very quickly. I just ordered from this place about 45 minutes ago and all I can say is what a waste of money!!!! The chicken was so dry it felt like me and My family were swallowing broken glass!!! The tamales were still frozen and did not taste good after trying to microwave them. I ordered through Door Dash and I voiced my concerns about the food and they credited me back $5 out of $57!!! I will not be eating here ever again! I know I ordered close to closing time but good money was spent so good food should be delivered!! read more

5 food 5 service Walked in to this place and I'm surprised there aren't more people in there by the quality of food they serve. I was warmly greeted by the owner and counterpart and ordered food (they accept Apple Pay, yaay!) and was only a short wait until I get my food. Definitely going back to this place! read more

Mexican food, or should I say good spicy authentic Mexican food, is hard to come by here. A lot of places have gone the way of the Taco Bell or Utah-nized their food to fit the crowd. What's refreshing about this joint is that the food is fresh, flavorful, and reminds me of Lucas in Rocky Point (iykyk). They serve you whole grilled chicken with rice, beans, tortillas, salsa, and grilled jalapenos on a plate or as a family dinner. The chicken is great and the salsas are pretty good. Great prices as well! The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of were their tamales- pretty bland and a little dry. I will say, the flavors aren't as prominent as other places I've been to but the chicken plates, burrito, and quesadilla we tried were worth coming back for. Very glad I tried this spot next to Sprouts. It has all the character and flavor like a quality competitive taqueria from California. Latino ran and latino music playing. My burrito for dine-in took a little longer than expected but it was worth the wait. Temperature and presentation was perfect. The burrito is big. We love this place! The restaurant itself is always sparkling clean, the staff are super friendly, and the food is delicious and not too expensive. THE SALSA VERDE IS AMAZING. We get the steak quesadilla frequently. The quality of the meat is really good. We tried the carne asada fries today for the first time and they were awesome! Plenty of toppings dispersed throughout so you're not left with a bunch of sad dry fries on the bottom. You should definitely make it a priority to go eat here! read more
