    Arroz chaufa with chicken
    Alex P.

Every time we come here, we always leave satisfied. The food is cooked well, and the portions are filling. The flavor and presentation are very nice. The restaurant itself is clean and it's easy to find a good place to sit. The orders just take a few minutes to come out, and the staff is friendly and polite. I had the arroz chaufa (fried rice type of meal), and the chicken pieces inside were big and tasty. The parking lot is shared with a few businesses, so you may have difficulty finding a close spot depending on the time you decide to go.

This place is pretty spacious with many seats. The food are a bit pricy, but the chicken was very delicious.

Fun to mix it up at a newer place, we tried the 1/2 chicken, arroz chauffa, and red fuego bowl. The rotisserie chicken is delicious! The best part of everything we tried. Great crisp skin and tender chicken. The arroz chauffa was delicious as well, if I were to go back this is the thing to order. Lots of good flavor and taste! The red fuego was disappointing the rice is plain white rice and just salad with a little chicken. Give this place a try and get chicken and the arroz chauffa.

Usually I like to eat there but today I was really disappointed. I got huancaina fetuccini and the chicken was really dry and my fetuccini barely had huancaina sauce. You can see in the picture the white noodles.

I hate leaving a 1 star review but Red Fuego always falls short. BY A LOT. I love Peruvian food. It reminds me of home! This place however is extremely underwhelming. I paid $18 for 5 small pieces of steak and a drink. The food took a very long time to be served. I was with one other person - we ordered at the same time. 3 people passed in front of us before we could receive our second order despite it being the same thing. Service is awful. Girl at the counter seemed bothered when we had questions about the menu. This was supposed to be a quick yummy place for lunch but was anything but that. Extremely overpriced. Horrible service.

My little brother was in the area and went to laid back Poke shack and then saw this place in the Lehi strip mall. After a Google search found that they have a location in Orem too. Surprised they didn't have the traditional appetizers that other Peruvian restaurants serve in the states. Prices are a bit steep, for 4 items the total came to $50.48 without a tip. The good: -The 1/4 chicken was excellent and full of flavor -Yuca perfectly cooked -Aji De Gallina (the nice rich creamy yellow pepper sauce) The needs work: -Red Fuego bowl (pricey for the small amount of chicken) -Tallarines verdes (wrong kind of noodles and basil sauce needed a lot more substance, and steak was very gristly) Didn't get to try the desserts, will be back for just the chicken next time as it was excellent and worth the cost.

Red fuego lived up to the hype. I heard it was great place to get grilled chicken and plantains. That's exactly what I got and loved it! It was heavy and plenty of food! The plantains were some of the best I've ever had! I will say they were very greasy and sweet just like they should be. I wanted to try some of the other options and even a sweet but will have to go back for those.

Red Fuego is a treat! If you are into Peruvian inspired food, this is a great one to visit. I went for lunch and I'm not sure I'll need dinner tonight! I tried the Lomo Saltado and it was delish. I have been there three times and have seen many dishes that I must remember to try. It's fresh and cooked to order. So it takes a little extra time, but it's worth the wait. It is a bit pricey but a treat nonetheless! It's a small space but has loft seating if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle.

I wish they had or decorated nicer inside and it was more inviting. It definitely is a hole in the wall. The service was good and our waitress was helpful for our first time there. There were a lot of different dishes we tried and wow - would definitely come back for! Everything was had was truly delicious and flavorful. The rotisserie chicken was so juicy and had so much flavor. I loved dipped it in the green sauce. I also enjoyed the Peruvian friend rice and all of the flavor that came with it. The fries were also homemade, crispy, and not super oily at all. The beef was seasoned great and had a lot of good flavor. Everything was super flavorful and tasty. It looks like they are expanding so I hope they make it a nicer interior! Overall, I will be back and I definitely recommend!

Beware of this restaurant, extremely dishonest management…read more The management at this location deserves zero stars. If you are using a coupon, be prepared to be misled and treated poorly. We used a Starving Student coupon before at the Provo location without any issues. This time, we used the same coupon at the Orem location. The deal clearly states Buy 1 entrée, get 1 free (saving $17.99), as shown in the screenshots. We ordered two half-chicken entrées. The cashier scanned the coupon, charged us, and told us the wait time would be about 20 minutes. At no point were we told there were any restrictions. After waiting 20 minutes, the cashier brought out the food and then informed us that "the boss's mom said" that because we used a coupon, we were only allowed ¼ chicken, not half. This was never disclosed when we ordered, and directly contradicts both the coupon and our previous experience at the Provo location. We were told this was a "new rule." This is misleading, dishonest, and false advertising. I asked to speak directly with the boss's mom, but she refused to come out and instead hid in the kitchen, sending the employee to act as a mediator. We were then told she "doesn't speak English." Ironically, my husband speaks Spanish and suddenly she was "too busy" to speak to us at all. This is an unacceptable way to treat customers. The cashier at the front was the only helpful and professional person there. She even disagreed with the situation, but could not approve a refund without a manager. She had to call twice before we finally received our refund. Bottom line: If you don't want to honor a deal, don't offer it. This is false advertising and completely unethical. Hiding in the kitchen instead of addressing customers is unprofessional and embarrassing for a business. This restaurant should either honor the Starving Student deal as advertised or remove it entirely. I'm posting this so others don't go through the same experience. I will not support a business that operates like this. This review will also be sent directly to the restaurant's management team and to Starving Student's management.
