Not everyone is a fan of Krispy Kreme donuts but I don't think that matters I am a fan I believe they serve really good donuts and this location has a great presentation. Very clean ample parking nearby very visual and good customer service. The coffee was a little cool and there was no way to heat it back up to where I was comfortable but it did not matter I was here for the donuts. They had plenty of donuts and we're constantly cooking them will look like in the back so this is a busy location right in the heart of Google and Yahoo and everything digital and technical in the immediate area. There is a Costco and McDonald's in the same parking lot along with other venues and food and a gas station a few blocks away if you need gas. I recommend this place because of the location and the need for something really sweet and basically a nice delicious fattening donut to tear up and enjoy. Feast my friends. read more

This 5 stars is for the HOT donuts! My deal with bf Rick is that we'll only get the unnecessary calories if the HOT sign is on! We usually shop at Costco in the evening around 6 or 7pm once a month. The doughnut didn't taste good. Then I saw someone else order a bunch of doughnuts, look at them, show them to his group of friends, and then return those to the counter lady, saying he wanted different doughnuts but didn't touch them, so it should be okay. The counter lady hesitated, but then she took back the doughnuts and gave him 2 others! Now, I didn't see that guy actually touch the doughnuts, but why did she hesitate? Is she a doughnut inspector? Hell noooo. These places are the worst. You get a little soggy limp nothing Doughnut that looks like it's been dipped in elmers glue and is either warm and edible or cold and gross. The icing is soo sweat I feel my teeth rotting out of my head as I chew. My worst experience here was when I went when the hot and fresh light was on. I asked for a good warm hot one and they gave it to me. It was so hot in fact that it was still cooking internally. I love Krispie Kreme, and this is one of the last few shops open in the Bay Area. They have downsized much, but i never thought it would translate to their donuts. I walk in and eye a sour creme cake donut and chocolate glazed creme-filled in the window case. *salivate* I open the box, and look at my sour cream which is 20% smaller than the one shown in the display case. I ask the cashier why I received such a small one, she said, "Oh, that batch didn't come out right," and proceeded to give me another one for my observation. They also didn't get my chocolate glaze part of my order right--and I could see the top of my creme filled more burnt than usual. Usually I really don't like very sweet things but I have to admit that Hot Krispy Kremes are melt-in-your-mouth sweet heaven. I don't eat them very often (maybe two a year) so I suppose they still count as a special treat. After they have cooled, they are still pretty good but Winchells or especially Dunkin' Doughnuts are much better. I wish the the Dunkin' Doughnuts on Union in Campbell hadn't closed :(. Nothing Like The Original... Glazed. I don't know why some people are knocking this place for something aside from the donut itself. Obesity happens for many reasons including: (a) genetics and (b) people don't know how to shut their mouths before the food comes rolling in... portion control and consumption (or lack thereof) is not the fault of the donuts. I digress... I enjoy their original glazed more than anything else. I especially love it when I'm waiting in line and one of the employees gives me a warm donut, straight off of the conveyer... lightly coated in a sweet goodness of a glaze. When I visit Krispy Kreme (about once every 2-4 months) I usually get an assorted dozen. My boyfriend and I split the box and I ask them to split the donuts in half-dozen sized boxes. I feel less guilty going home with six donuts instead of 12. Aside from the original glazed I enjoy the strawberry filled with powdered sugar or the glazed raspberry filled. The thing about these donuts is that because they are so rich... I can have one and feel totally satisfied. And then I'm good to go for another... 3 months or so. read more

They have a drive through to tend to all your needs, although I still think going inside and pointing to all the different donuts to box is much more fun. I drove 20-30 minutes to Mountain View from San Jose just for Krispy Kreme donuts. I was a bit disappointed that the conveyer belt wasn't moving or making donuts. But I got over it. This krispy kreme was fairly large and had a drive thru. It was tempting to get everything you see, but me and my sister was able to restrain to only a dozen. Ha! There wasn't actually a lot to choose from. The most common is the original glazed. That still holds my place as my favorite flavor. The sugar coated is the least sweet to say. It's not glazed, just sugar coated. The chocolate was glazed and chocolate coated, so that was sweet. I tried the maple donut which was glazed and maple coated. That was SUPER sweet, but still good. I tried the new flavor "of the month as well." The banana donut cake with caramel drizzle. It was okay. It was odd eating a banana flavored donut. I'm not a big fan of cake donuts. The other flavor of the month was "banana kreme pie" It was a regular donut filled with banana kreme. it really tasted like a banana creme pie. I wasn't a fan. All in all, the dozen came out to be 8-9 dollars. Each donut it a dollar and minis are 50 cent. What happened to the days were all donuts were 50 cents or less? Sad. Maybe those donut shops are still out there and these chain stores (krispy kreme and dunkin donuts) are just raising their prices to a dollar. I grew up in the east coast enjoying a dozen glazed donuts when the "Hot Now" neon sign was on. Back in college, I could polish off a dozen glazed and wash it all down with two pints of milk. I have been to this one a few too many times. We used to get them a lot for work when they first opened up, but after a while they started getting too saturated with sweet for their own good. Personally I love the creme filled chocolate ones, but only in small doses. I cannot pig out on any donuts, but Crispy Creme is definitely extra rich.
