I've been going here for years. This place has the best thai food in town hands down. I usually don't do reviews but I appreciate them taking the extra time to accommodate my family and i last week. Delicious and quick service! I went here around lunchtime on a Sunday, so it was pretty slow. My boyfriend and I shared three appetizers: shrimp spring rolls, fried tofu, and chicken satay. All three were flavorful, delicious, and fresh. For our meal, I had the papaya salad and my boyfriend had the roasted duck. My papaya salad was one of the best i've ever had; the dressing was perfect, the fruits and veggies perfectly ripe. Bad day? Rude Aggressive Lady, wow we weren't expecting that. We should have known the minute we walked in and she was just sitting in the kitchen yelling at us instead of coming out to greet us. We had to repeat that we wanted to dine in 3 times before she just waved her hand and said we could sit down. Note - the restaurant was completely empty about 1:20pm. Things settled down and we got menus and drinks and I started to order and she walked away. She went behind the counter and just fussed around. Finally it looked like she was going to come get our order. Nope she had to go to the restroom, open the door and stand in the hallway to put on lipstick. Ok, no problem, she's just making sure she looks nice. Nope, she goes back behind the counter and starts snapping her prep gloves and standing there. I said that we were ready to order and she didn't seem to hear me so I waited. More glove arrangement and fussing around and she finally looked up and all I did was raise my hand and smile at her. That was it apparently she'd had enough. She yelled "I heard you" and got an angry face on "I be there...." Loud and Rude. I looked at my wife and said well guess we did something wrong and time to go. The lady went nuts yelling at us. Dropped by Krachai Thai for an early dinner on a Friday evening because the Thai food cravings would just not go away. I knew that I wanted my usual spicy thai eggplant with tofu, but also had a craving for noodles that only pad kee mao could satisfy sooo as expected, I got both :P Thankfully, I had a friend with me who was down to help me eat my meal. I ordered the eggplant 3/5 spicy and went all in 5/5 for the pad kee mao. Now, I have a giant spice tolerance so I actually enjoyed the pad kee mao. However, I have to warn you that it is extremely spicy so definitely don't order a crazy high spice level if you can't handle spice! The eggplant and tofu was good, but could have used just a bit more flavor in my opinion. The tofu wasn't seasoned and didn't really seem to pick up the flavor of the sauce very well so it detracted from the the dish a bit. Overall, still a solid eggplant and tofu though! The pad kee mao was great -- and spicy -- but needed just a touch more salt to be perfect. Service was friendly and our food came out at a good pace. I always use to go to this place never had issues with anything but today I placed order and the food I got was uncooked and the level of spice I received was insane I couldn't even eat my food! I got fried rice with level 4 spicy and drunken noodles with same spicy level. Rice was uncooked and noodles were so spicy that I couldn't even eat them when I mixed it with plain rice. I called the restaurant and the guy I was talking to was rude had no customer service, was impolite and ill-mannered, I told him I live 15miles from the restaurant and he's response was "bring the food, and will make you new food" he wants me to drive back 30mins to bring back the food and wait there another 35mins or all while they prepare my food waste all that time and still I get no apology. Went here for the first time I order soup like other Thai places and this Tom yum soup was off it had like no flavor and it was so salty. I picked up two orders of Panang Curry (one regular heat, one hot), the flavor was good, and the heat level was perfect. I had the regular heat, and there were only three pieces of very thin chicken, the hot curry had substantially more chicken in it. If I was judging by the regular curry, I wouldn't come back as having what equated to a 1/3 of a slice of deli chicken in the curry wasn't worthwhile. Having seen the amount of chicken in the other entree, I think I would try again and hope it is an anomaly.
