    Beef Steak Tapa Bowl

Let me start off by saying the vibes at Knee High Stocking are immaculate. It's moody, stylish, and on a night when it's pouring rain outside, feels absolutely like the place to be on a Friday night. The staff is similarly wonderful. Super friendly, helpful and offered great service. The thing that didn't do it for me was the food. Now, maybe I'm shooting myself in the foot here going to a Filipino speakeasy as a Filipino person myself, who's always held to the adage "the best Filipino food is from a friend's kitchen", but the mains didn't hit the spot. The tater tots that supposedly had adobo seasoning tasted like regular tater tots, and my two friends who got pork adobo were disappointed that it was dry. I will say that the lumpia was decent, and so were the calamansi zero-proof cocktails we ordered! The steak tapa I got I enjoyed, even if the garlic rice felt a little too soft. What raised our spirits at the end of a mid-tier meal was the ube bread pudding. I would go back for that dessert alone. Let me tell you, it was AMAZING, and because of that we went away feeling much better than we would've otherwise. Overall, an alright experience. I myself wouldn't go back for a meal, and if someone's looking to eat Filipino food for the first time, I'd recommend elsewhere. But for that ube bread pudding? Yeah, when that craving hits, you might find me back here again.

this is a really fun, intimate bar. kind of feels like you're stepping into someone's house, into their cozy, dim living room. it is quite exclusive though, seems like they only do reservations, which we nabbed day of, so it's not too hard to get. we did see people try to do walk-in and getting turned away. definitely a spot of smaller groups, as there were a lot of small tables, bar seats, and one larger table that could maybe fit 6 comfortably. drinks were delicious, although more on the pricey side. i especially liked my drink, the pecadillo, which was fruity and sweet, easy to drink! do NOT sleep on the ube bread pudding. wow!!! its the perfect night cap, such a delicious dessert to go with drinks. the bread pudding was crispy on the outside, mushy and moist (in the best way) on the inside, and comes with vanilla ice cream. a must get menu item if you come here... so good we had to order a second!

I wanted to hate this place. Knee high stockings are sexual fun things. But delaying gratification for a seat doesn't get my rocks off; we waited +30 min for our first round, with a reservation, on a cold January Saturday, with less than 40% occupancy. Unfortunately, for my disgruntled-ass, the drinks were very balanced and had flavor themes down. We got a fried rice dish, very nice for a late-night snack. So, well done.. your barkeep and chef are fine gentleman. Hats off good Sirs. But the vibes were off; this is the type of place a 40-something tech-bro takes a 20-something from Fremont to impress her before buying fentanyl laced coke from his 'reliable' corner store. I literally cannot make up the utter amount of total douche holes that are patrons. At least until King Douche left, after which the table next to us and the hostess all laughed at how horrible he was: we all proclaimed if we hear 'my ex-wife' one for time. All in all, not a bad time. Just a little slow for service and douche canoeing.

Loved this place! A little confusing to find given the exterior doesn't really show it's a bar. They had a small little sign and you press the door bell waiting to get let in. We randomly wanted to come here on a Saturday night not knowing you need reservations. Luckily for us, a couple were just leaving and they had seats for us at the bar. Our bar tender was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a blast talking to her and getting recommendations on drinks. I would come back to this bar anytime I visit Seattle. Highly recommend to come early or make reservations.

IF YOU CAN ONLY GET ONE THING HERE, YOU MUST ORDER THE UBE BREAD PUDDING!!! This dessert is tastes like HAPPINESS! The texture is THE perfect chewy brownie, served warm, and it's sweet while not being too sweet. I regret not getting two because I'm not local to the Seattle area and I am STILL thinking about this bread pudding. It even tastes good COLD if you bring your leftovers home, just incredible. My friend and I only ordered drinks and desserts since we had just came from dinner at another restaurant, so I can't speak for the food here. The service is super friendly, our server was also the mixologist and she was very accommodating to make the drinks to our liking. I can't remember the names of the drinks we got, but the blueberry infused vodka base drink was definitely the favorite. The whiskey sour was not bad, but quite strong. We stopped this speakeasy around 10pm on a Thursday night without a reservation and upon ringing the doorbell a few times my friend and I were seated immediately. I will definitely be returning when visiting Seattle again!

The lower/cellar is always so beautiful to behold and have a cocktail in.

One of my favorite speakeasies by far. Besides the drinks and ambiance, the food offered always presents great bites to eat or snack on.

I"ve always been a sucker for exceptional cocktails served in a speakeasy atmosphere, so when I heard about Knee High Stocking I was really excited to try it; it did NOT disappoint! The door is unmarked and hard to spot. When you find it, you need to use a doorbell to be let in by the doorkeeper. I really liked the vibe once we were inside, and the three of us were seated right away (we had a reservation) and enjoyed watching the bartenders do their magic. Extremely patient, knowledgeable and friendly, our bartender recommended a specialty cocktail for each of us. Through the course of our time at Knee High, we each had two cocktails, and both of mine were excellent! Tip: The place is open until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. If you come on either of these nights, reservations are strongly advised. Despite the fact that we were there on a Friday night and stayed almost until closing time, we didn't feel any pressure to leave, even when we were virtually the last customers left in the bar :-) While I really enjoyed sitting at the bar, when we come back I'm going to try and snag a table downstairs, as that area looks very cozy and semi-private. Regardless of where you end up sitting, Knee High stocking is an awesome destination to head for if you want to some speciality cocktails and a speakeasy vibe. Highly recommended!

Lady in the Streets, an anise forward cocktail!

Such a great restaurant and cocktail bar! It is totally into the speakeasy thing where you ring a doorbell to get in. Reservations are really recommended here as the place isn't really all that big. The cuisine is Filipino inspired and it is so very, very delicious! Steve and I shared an order of lumpia which we always love but we especially loved Knee High's version! For my actual meal I got the Chicken Adobo bowl. It was so very delicious, flavorful, fresh and a sheer delight to eat! For dessert we got the Ube Bread Pudding which was excellent and finished out an extremely satisfying meal. But we wouldn't be getting the full speakeasy experience if we didn't get some cocktails so we didn't leave that stone unturned at all. I got The Lady in the Streets which was appropriately described as an anise forward cocktail which it certainly was. I personally love anise so I didn't hesitate at all to make that my first cocktail choice and it was wonderfully surreal to my taste buds! Pear of Gibraltar was my second cocktail. It too was a wonderful thrill but I liked the anise one best. I was tempted to get it a second time actually but the cocktail menu was so intriguing I had to try something else. Truly a wonderful, wonderful dining and drinking experience. In the end the bill was far from cheap but everything was a sheer delight and well worth it!

It's been a minute since I enjoyed an evening at Knee High. Great company, fantastic food, and drinks. Sadly I was so wrapped up in conversation I forgot to take pics. It means I will need to go back. Three hours, many appetizers, a couple of mains, many inventive drinks... and very good service. We were seated in one of the downstairs rooms, which we had to ourselves for most of the time. I had several drinks, including one made with a cherry-rose shrub. Craft cocktails with the right strength and taste for all the drinks. One of my friends had the Purple Haze with smoking lavender. We had many rounds of select cocktails where we told our server what we wanted as a base, and she returned with some great creations. The food is a fusion of Filipino cuisine with some modern takes. I've spent much time in the Philippines, and everything is the mark. As a vegetarian, I enjoyed the eggplant adobo and veg lumpia. Take your time, make your reservations well in advance and bring friends to enjoy a memorable evening.

A cute speakeasy chill bar perfect for hanging out with friends! I've been here a couple times for craft cocktails. The inside is decorated nicely and is a stark contrast from the unassuming outside. It took a while for our drinks to come but that was okay since we weren't really in any rush. The drinks all had very interesting flavors and were super enjoyable. I think it was on the pricier side ($20+per drink), but if you go during happy hour it's $4 off select drinks. We also got some food which I was not impressed with. It was a pricey and the portions were small. A lot of the foods we're very acidic. I enjoyed the lumpia and chicken wings. If you come here I would stick to the appetizers and definitely get the UBE BREAD PUDDING!

Last year, I met my Brazilian teammate in-person for the first time. To my surprise, he was very interested in speakeasies and wanted to go to a few together while he was in SF. That planted a seed in my mind about visiting speakeasies when I travel, so here I was in Seattle for 3 nights looking for speakeasies! I did not have a reservation (you should reserve via text okay!!) and it was okay because I went alone and sat at the bar downstairs. The vibes were immaculate. Very old-timey and dark and I loved the wallpaper patterns, art, plants, and chandeliers. Gives off a mysterious, cozy vibe. I enjoyed my flan which the bartender recommended and a Weekend in Miami cocktail. Service was friendly and fun. I'd recommend coming here for a cute date night or girls' night out.

It is a cool speakeasy type bar that has some well crafted cocktails and Filipino style snacks. We were seated in the basement level, which had an intimate vibe to it. The bartender was pretty good and gave a good recommendation on drinks. The snacks were a perfect sharing size, and the desserts were tasty.

The waiter / bartender is SO RUDE. He told us to "hush" multiple times even though there was two groups who were significantly louder than us. We asked for a napkin because we spilled a drink and he said "you'll get your napkins when you get your food with the utensils" we literally just wanted a napkin to clean a spill. Not a good experience at all. I've heard some of my friends say they have had a really good experience here. We didn't try the food unfortunately because the table next to us advised us against it. They had ordered their food and waited about 45 minutes just for their appetizer to come out. We heard them ask the waiter if they could order their entrees and he said one minute and didn't come back for about 20 minutes. Otherwise it's a nice intimate little speakeasy. You ring a doorbell to get inside. Pretty spacious on the inside and very dim. The purple haze drink was very good.

I could hear the table next to us ordered the exact same appetizer as we did 10-15 mins after we did and a new server who must had just clocked in brings them the order literally within 2-3 mins later and the male commented, "oh that was fast" and I thought to myself they got our order. I had a beautiful appetizer spread that everyone enjoyed and they changed the music to accommodate my parties liking. I absolutely would suggest your next event here.

Following the sage recommendation of a bartender at Zig Zag Cafe, I made my way into Belltown over…read moreto Roquette. Roquette was a surprisingly small space with a wonderful vibe serving up "destination" bar-worthy cocktails. It reminded me of some of the neighborhood gem cocktail bars that I'd frequented on the East Coast. I grabbed a seat at the bar. Roquette's lineup of cocktails were varied in flavor profile using a wide range of spirits. They also served non-alcoholic offerings which looked equally intriguing as their boozy selections. I started off with the 99 Problems ($28), which, unfortunately, I forgot to note what was in the drink. It was boozy, clever, inventive, and most importantly delicious. My second drink was the Imperium Old Fashioned ($24) made with Westland Whiskey "Roquette" Barrel, Clement Cask Strength Rhum, Old Delicious Apple Brandy, Pineapple, and Spice. It was an excellent, boozy, balanced update to the classic Old Fashioned. Although I went with drinks off their menu, I have no doubt that any of their skilled bar professionals could've crafted me a wonderful cocktail if I had simply requested a classic or something on the fly based on my choice of spirit and desired flavor profile. Yes, the prices on the two drinks I ordered were pretty steep, but they were comparable to prices I've paid in Las Vegas. Plus, I don't have a problem with paying a premium for a well-made cocktail made with premium ingredients in a comfortable, welcoming setting (the drunken guy next to me who tried to engage with me in a political discussion excluded). Bottom-line: Roquette was a revelation. It served up two of the best cocktails that I've had this year. I can't recommend it enough and it'll be at the top of my list of places to hit the next time I'm in town.

Staff is friendly and helpful in making decisions that suit your taste. I started with the Suede Umbrella, my friends had a Tuk Tuk Tang and Guavacita. Second round they had the Panic Button and I had the Roquette Martini. Well balanced cocktails. Extensive list.. would definitely visit again when in Belltown.
