Really a zero star dive. Anyone giving more than one star to this place must be family. Like a sucker, I have gone back to this Chicken Wing Calamari Nazi for the last time. The first time I went, they told me there was a 45 minute wait. I asked if I could order and come back. The menu said they took cards. I pulled mine out, and she barked at me "cash only." I told the EXTREMELY rude owner (?) I would call in and come back with cash later that evening after visiting friends in Milpitas...imagine my surprise when the owner told me they dont take call in's either! I needed to order and pay and take them NOW. I told her she should try to be nicer to her customers and she seemed to mellow out a little. Surprise number two was when my friend who lives in Milpitas told me she calls her orders in and charges ALL the time! A few months later I tested her "no call in policy" again, and called in my $35 order. This time she took my order (couldn't see my criminal looking face) with no hesitation. When I arrived to pick it up (testing the cash only policy since they still had the charge card logos on their menu), she rudely barked "Cash only". I stepped back to see if I had enough cash, and saw the machine by the register. I asked her about it, and she said it was broken. I told her to try it again and that I was not going to get cash (the order was on the counter) - she did (while slamming stuff around) and it worked. She was beyond mad because the person behind me had a $125 order and she had told her she only took cash too. Hmmmm....Bad day at King Chicken Wing for the owner. Totally busted! Many other horror stories - I won't bore you with them, but the final complaint: I called in today, for their "specialty" wings. With out telling me they had changed (no longer whole wings, but mini drummets, and two sections less for the same price). I paid before I realized this. Got them home and they are disgusting. Greasy and salty and the wings are so dried out underneath the batter, that they are shrunken and the batter just falls off.... Stay away from this place! The rudeness (I can't even begin to convey how rude the head person is) and "laugh in your face" quality doesn't warrant a sucker return trip(s) like I did! read more

My family and I come all the way out here alllll the time to order the crispy calamari. A large tray order of crispy calamari is $65 and you only need to call in the day before you need it to order. My husband was raving about their fried squid. At first I was skeptical because I knew the vicinity of the restaurant and I remember that the area was not that great, but they remodeled the area so I thought I give it a try. We had the fried squid-I thought it was over fried, but my husband says its suppose to be that way, fried beef with sauce- I thought this was also over fried, and fried rice. Maybe the way they treat their non-Chinese customers have something to do with my taste for their food. I would come back for the calamari but unless I crave it I will avoid this place. We ordered 5 large party trays of food from them of which one is $54.99 large tray of Teriyaki chicken. Guess what? We don't get all Teriyaki chicken. I have thick Cantonese skin - I've seen it all and I'm cool with the less than okay service and people throwing your dish on the table rudely. I just shrug it off as the Asian way. Today 4 of us walked in wanting to check out this place. Myself my wife and two toddler kids. We realized we don't have that much cash (this place is cash only), just a hair over $15 - Not enough to order 2 combos. So I told my wife to just order 1 combo, the #5 on the menu - 2 wings + broccoli beef + fried rice. Turns out it's $9.50. Quite expensive, but it's cool, we'll try it. My wife nicely asked: "Can we swap the fried rice for chow mein?" Without finishing the question, the mean lady (mid 40s, mean looking) said: "NO EXCHANGING!!!" Then comes the reason for this review. After placing the order and paying, the mean lady puts in the order to her cooks, and said very loudly in Cantonese: "There are 4 people and they just ordered / are going to eat one thing." I though to myself: 1) Either she doesn't think we know Cantonese so she says it loudly to insult us in front of her cooks and employees (seems like she owns the place) 2) Or she knows we know Cantonese and wants us to hear what she said Either way, why the hell is it her business how much food we order for how many people? It can be 1 box for 10 people, or 10 boxes for 1 person. It's not her damn business one bit. Her business is to be professional about her own business. We Asians may not know how to smile much, but going the lengths to insult your customers is utter BS. OK now the review of the food: The fried rice tastes okay. Salty and flavorful. Couple that with wanting water afterwards means MSG. Broccoli beef actually is good - I don't think they put too much MSG in that. Fried chicken - again salty and flavorful, and thirsty after consumption. So, it has MSG written all over it. There are MANY and PLENTY of places where you can go to to get Fried Rice or Chow mein plus 3 items ... probably for around $8. This place overcharges and takes cash only. Couple that with a mean spirited lady (it's great that other yelpers have stated the same) - I would recommend that you avoid this place. I myself would NEVER go back to this place. read more

My DH has been hearing about this the salt and pepper calamari for a while now so I finally was able to stop by and pick some up to try. First come first serve, cash only. When I got it home and tried it the calamari was too crunchy. It was like eating chicarones made of calarmari. I would have been nice if it was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside but it seemed like it was just dumped in oil and fried until it was a crisp. Just too crunchy and not very good. The food here is great, which was a pleasant surprise. Came in for lunch on a Sunday and there was no wait to be seated. But there was a stream of people coming in and out for catering (they're prices are low!) It really does seem like more of a to-go place than a restaurant. I recommend having the salt and pepper calamari, which is really good and crunchy. They're big pieces though, so not the litttle rings you're used to in other restaurants. The fried rice is also really good and not greasy. Vegetables are fresh and cooked perfectly, and they use breast meat for all their chicken dishes. The place is kept really clean, but there are not too many tables, so I'm guessing that's why people mentioned long waiting times. **They don't have plates so keep that in mind if you plan to eat family style. read more

I can't recommend this place as the food, service and hospitality is just too uneven. I have had very good food here. Other times they have given me the wrong order and since they tie it all up in a bag I didn't know it until I got home. Other times the food has been horrible. They say they don't take credit but I have been there when they have. One Saturday after a very long day all I wanted was my favorite item there. I patiently waited in line for about 20 minutes and when I got to the start of the line I was rudely informed that they were only serving party trays no dinner orders and no sign to indicate that. Do not eat here. First of all they use their kids to work the front which I am sure violates some sort of child labor laws. They cannot speak English to save their lives. I lived in Milpitas a few years ago and king chicken wings food was really good I especially liked there Mongolian beef. That's a must try. There chicken wings are great always fresh and crispy.
