They diagnosed it incorrectly and caused me to waste even more time at another repair shop. They quoted to fix an iphone X screen was $170. Fantastic service from a skilled professional. If you're debating whether or not to have these guys fix your phone: just do it, they're skilled, honest, and just good guys. I'd called to ask about replacing the USB-C port on my Pixel 4A, which would only charge the phone about 50% of the time, and the cable would often just fall out. Abdel (sorry if I'm spelling that wrong) told me he could do the repair, but they didn't have the part in stock because it wasn't very common, and it'd have to be ordered from China. Previously, I'd looked up a DIY repair on ifixit and saw what I thought was the part for $25. So I told him, "I think you can get the part at this site, no need to wait for international shipping," and he said that was the USB port for a Pixel 4, not a 4A. He was totally right, and the 4A part was listed as out of stock (if I'd ordered it, it wouldn't have worked on my phone, even if I had been able to take the phone apart without messing something up). He suggested I bring it in and if he couldn't solve the issue, he'd order the part and have me return when it arrived. I brought it in, he tested it with a voltimiter, and took it into the back for less than 5 minutes. When he came back out, he put it on the counter, demonstrated that you could now plug it in and the fit was so tight the phone would hang upside-down from the cord (before it'd wiggle free even if it was flat on a table). He then said, correctly, "I can see you tried to clean it out yourself, but the good news is, you didn't do any damage to it, and I just needed to get the dust and dirt out." I was super impressed he could see my unsuccessful attempts at a home repair, and that he solved the problem so quickly. I asked him what I owed him, and he told me there was no charge. Amazing. Next time I crack my phone screen or drop it in a puddle or something, I'll 100% be bringing it to Abdel to fix--an absolutely kind, competent, talented guy. Went here to fix my iphone X screen that wasn't registering touch properly on the top part of the phone. They told me I would have to get it replaced for $120. That's a pretty competitive price all things considered! Turns out you get what you pay for. First time it wasn't applied right (bottom was loose). Since phone was under their 60 day warranty they replaced the screen again with a new one. Seemed to work much better, except it fell out of my pocket at home (I've probably done this dozens of times in the past with no issue) and the glass cracked in multiple spots. I can only assume this was because the glass they use is a dirt cheap screen replacement part, because I've never had this issue in the past, and my phone is in a sturdy case. Turns out after bringing it to Joe's iPhone repair he told me they swapped my oled for an lcd screen. Went here bc they were available in a pinch, and overall the service was okay (no issues getting them to fix their first install), but I wouldn't go back. Neighborhood is awful for parking, and quality of product seems subpar. read more

I was in the process of installing a new SIM card with Boost mobile (previous Sprint user), when my phone locked; no calls, no texts, and no mobile data. I spent 1 hour online and nearly 2 hours at the local Boost mobile store, and their solution was to "purchase another device"--the jerks messed up my phone AND wanted me to buy another one? HELL NO! 3 hours later and literally crying out of frustration, I searched on Yelp, and sent quotes all around, and the guys at Kemo got back to me right away; he was straight forward--the diagnostic would be free, and if he couldn't unlock the device, no charge. He said it would take 30 minutes, and if he couldn't do it, no charge...it took him 25! He not only unlocked my device, but made it so I can use it anywhere internationally with any carrier! Went for a battery replacement and it seemed to go well except that the home button was a little loose. however 1 hour later I start to have ghost touch problems with the screen, its "clicking" by itself, typing by itself, and holding down by itself. I didn't want to drive all the way back so I got home to see what wrong and I noticed when taking off the screen that they did not replace the bracket that goes on top of the home button/touch id cable, and also did not replace the two plates that are removed when putting in a new battery - the plate that goes on top of the battery connection to the motherboard, and the plate that goes on top of the screen connection cables to the motherboard. The screen connecting cables were loose so I disconnected and connected them again. So far it seems to be back to normal. Would have been better off just buying the battery off of them and doing it myself. read more

Was here earlier today 09/20/18, because my iPhone 6 has broken the day before. So I went and bought an iPhone SE off of the 'LetGo' app (P.S: DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH "DELLIS STAMPS"). Anywho, I got the phone but it wasn't carrier unlocked as I was led to believe, so I called a couple places and each place coincidentally went down in price 80, then 70, then 55, and finally Kemo Wireless had the cheapest at $50 to unlock my iPhone SE from Cricket to Metropcs. I came in around 11am-Afternoon ish. And "Adele" (i'm sure thats not how you spell it) came out from the backroom to assist me and had me in and out in about 20 minutes. Everything was pretty mediocre: not amazing customer service or anything, no seating, blah blah blah HOWEVER. When is save money I take that into account immensely, which is why I rated this 5 stars.
