I contacted Kemo via Yelp and Kamel replied back with 15 min to give me a quote to replace the cracked screen on my iPhone 6 and let me know it would take about 20 min. I headed down and it probably took me longer to find parking on a Saturday afternoon around International & Fruitvale than it did for them to replace the screen. I walked in, there were about 3 people behind the counter...chatting so not busy I'm guessing...or one guy was doing all the work LOL. No matter, they acknowledged me immediately, took my phone, and again let me know it would be about 20 min. I wandered around (tip: Payless Shoes is closing across the street so go buy some shoes, socks, or store fixtures if you read this review in the beginning of June, 2019) and came back ~20 min later and boom! I was actually looking for a high quality unlocked cell phone at a reasonable price, and in order to this there were basically two options: Best Buy, or purchasing a device from Amazon/an internet retailer. Because I was going on vacation the following day the latter option wasn't viable, and trying to buy an unlocked device from Best Buy is an expensive and harrowing ordeal that won't let you out of the store in less than 45 minutes. So I took a chance and called some smaller cell phone stores, mostly repair shops, and after speaking briefly with someone at Kemo, decided to check it out. Parking on a side street was fine, but anticipate a short walk to the store through a neighborhood that is not great, but well populated. After entering the door a gentlemen directed me to several cases of unlocked devices from Samsung, Apple, OnePlus, and others, ranging in age and price, but ostensibly all with original packaging and in new condition. And unlike at Best Buy, pricing was in line with the device itself, there were no attempts to sign me up for a cell plan or check my credit, and I could have been in and out of the store in five minutes. Easy, easy, easy transaction, and the guy that helped me showed me what I asked to see, and when I was deciding between two devices, let me take my time without trying to push one device or the other or rush a sale. I decided on a Samsung Note 20 Ultra, brand new, unlocked, and about $200-300 less than what Best Buy still charges for the device if you can find it. So, plot twist, as the gentleman who sold me the phone is putting it back into its box, he asks me if I have the SIM card I am going to use with the phone. I wasn't really paying attention, said thank you and left. When I put the SIM card I was intending to use into the device, I learn the device is carrier locked. Immediately I assumed that returning the phone is going to be a nightmare and I plan to try selling it on Craigslist. But then next day I decide to call the store and explain the situation. Long story short, I return to Kemo and within 10 minutes, am leaving with a different brand new Note 20 Ultra that was unlocked and exactly what I was looking for. No hassle, no drama, just a quick and simple exchange. All interactions where super friendly, devices were all high quality and/or new. Easy, easy, easy. read more

I was sold a locked Apple Watch from letgo, told it worked perfectly fine, nothing wrong with it. Until I got home and couldn't connect my phone because it was iCloud locked. I took it to geek squad, and was told it wasn't stolen but that they couldn't do anything about it. I messaged with Apple, and was told the same thing. "If it's iCloud locked we can't do anything about it." Yelp helped me message multiple businesses around me seeing if anyone could iCloud unlock and everyone said no, one person said he could do it for $300.00 and another person told me on the phone to just throw it away. It's a series 3, LTE, 42 MM- BRAND NEW, Apple Watch, I couldn't get myself to "just throw it away." I messaged the owner of this business and got a very quick response after sending over the serial number. He told me he could unlock it, it was $120.00 and would take 1-5 days. Sure enough 5 days later I went to pick it up, and it worked! He didn't have me pay until after he unlocked it, which was super nice cause I had already been scammed once. The owner is extremely short and rude. Instead of asking me to repeat myself, he proceeded to say that he was confused and that I didn't need to add all the extra stuff to what I was saying. I think that is horrible customer service. All you have to do is ask a person or a customer to repeat themselves without all the rude comments . I've never experience a conversation like that with a store owner before and it's extremely disappointing that he's running his store talking to the customers that have use their services before. . I would not recommend going there. I got my iPad fixed there this year and the home button was not fixed and the screen was still malfunctioning shortly after. Came here on Labor Day and was able to fix my iPhone. Previously, I went to Best Buy and Apple and they scheduled me for appointments 5 hours later. The person who helped me diagnosed my phone, found out it was due to the battery. I replaced it and mentioned Yelp and got $10 off. An appointment was available that day and the repair was completed in an hour with an original OEM battery replacement. They provided me with the old battery and showed me the date of manufacture that was in 2017 confirming the battery was past its intended use date. I was quoted higher prices for the battery replacement at other nearby places and they provided me with a one year warranty on the parts and labor. read more

Ok I'm going to give a real quick rundown on this - have already wasted too much of my time I'll never get back on Kemo Wireless (as you will soon read) I really don't want to waste much more... 4:52pm - My partner and I drop off our iPhones to have the screens repaired. I am told it will take 45 mins. I confirm that they close at 7pm and let them know we'll be back before then. 6:40pm - We strive back at Kemo to find the store closed, locks and chains on doors. I knock repeatedly on the glass. Someone on the street says they left a few minutes ago. 6:45pm - convince a shopkeeper next door to let me borrow his phone (because yes we have no phones oh and I have to get on a flight the next morning) and call Kemo. No answer 6:52pm - connect our laptop to an xfinity hotspot. Message Kemo through yelp. (I'd used yelp messenger earlier with him to check pricing and confirm whether or not he uses OEM or aftermarket screens. He says he uses OEM...remember this tidbit). 6:58pm - I hear back he apologizes and says he is on his way back and will be there in 10 minute 7:13pm - he arrives. Very apologetic something about his son's babysitter was driving his son crazy. Unfortunately though his keys don't seem to be working to open up the door. He calls someone. Tries for a few minutes and wanders off saying he'll be back. 7:32pm - I'm still waiting. Message again. Said he had the wrong keys and his on his way back. Thanks for the heads up... 7:40pm - an hour later I am finally able to pay and get my phones. For the hour of our lives we wasted he gives us $10 off each phone. Yes less than minimum wage. Thanks. Oh and the cherry on the top...remember that OEM screen he promised me. Not so much. My phone scree now has a dull grey / blue hue to it. So anyway if you're looking for iPhone repair delivered late at a huge inconvenience and below expectations but at a reasonable price then this is the place for you! read more

DO NOT get your phone fixed here these people are sketchy and will end up creating another problem. i went to take my iphone screen to get fixed and after he fixed my screen , i went to my car and tried snapping my girlfriend back and neither my front or back camera worked , just a black screen. so i took it back immediately and the guy said he "swapped" my camera out so he doesn't know why it's not working. he got my back camera to work but the front is just black screen. he tried to tell me that the original camera he took from my phone was having no issue . so when i said , why not put my old camera back into my phone then? he said oh no the fuse is burnt out. so i looked at him and said , did you not just say it was fine?? he said some bs and i was just like whatever dude. i should've told him idc and to put that camera back into my phone but knowing him, i think he swapped my camera so that he could use my camera on another phone of his to repair.. piece of shit. so he told me bring it in tomorrow and he will have another look at it and if he can't fix it by then, there's nothing he can do about it... so that's what i did. and sure as shit when i leave my phone there for an hour and come back, he told me that now my phone is too hot to run both cameras and if it did my phone would be shutting itself off.. i looked at my phone and there were no finger prints over my case or my screen so i know for a FACT they didn't even bother to take a look at it. FUCK this place and fuck these people. DO NOT GO HERE. THESE PEOPLE MAY SEEM LIKE THEY DO A GOOD JOB BUT THEY WILL DO SOME SHADY SHIT . IF I COULD RATE 0 of 5 STARS I WOULD.
