I needed a replacement digitizer for a Samsung Galaxy S7 after replacing the battery/charge port. After melted chocolate in my pocket had an unfortunate encounter with the bottom of my iphone X, I was left with a muffled microphone and a speaker that worked about half the time. Apple quoted me over $500 for repair - twice the value of the phone. I got an appt at BestBuy for repair - over a week in the future, not good enough. Then Kemo came to the rescue. After exchanging a few messages, and getting a very fair flat-rate quote, I was invited to just come on down with my phone. One hour later my phone was back in shape. I was so thrilled at the great service and communication skills that I offered to pay an extra $20, but Kemo refused to accept it. That's pride! Totally unexpectedly, I left not only with restored sound but also new screen protectors front and back. My only regret: I do not have anything else for this great establishment to fix. I regret coming here for a screen repair. I dropped my iPhone 7 from 2 feet and the screen cracked. I looked up a few places on yelp and got quotes and availability. This location was the beat for me and my schedule. I was greeted by an employee, got the same quote and he took my phone to start the repair. Initially I liked my newly non broken phone screen but knew something was weird with the new screen soon after. 1. The tempered glass cover they give for free is a sweet gesture but it was horrible for getting anything done on the phone. I literally had to press my finger on the screen sooooo hard to get it to notice what I was attempting to press. 2. The brightness of my phone is diminished. Even with full brightness turned on, it looked like I'm still trying to do things in the dark. It's so annoying when trying to read or watch shows. Everything seems as if I am going blind. 3. The sides are not flat and rounded. Rub your finger in the sides of your iPhone 6,7,8 and whatever.... the phone screen is rounded and flush with the rest of the phone. It's sleek and beautiful. I thought I was trippin until I grabbed my friends iPhone 7 that's never been broken and knew my screen was a cheap piece of shit. What really bothered me is when I went to pick up my phone, a guy was in there to get a quote for this daughters cracked iPhone screen. He was inquiring about a lowered price because he wanted to buy the glass online. The guy who handled my repair boated about how perfect the work was and how bright and amazing their glass was. "We have apply certified. You'll never find anything as good as ours." I disagree dude. I've had my phone done at another place in the city but didn't feel like driving to SF and thought the reviews were reliable. Nope. Don't come here. I wish I could get my money back. I'm a student and can't afford to be giving my money away to overly confident businesses who do shitty work. I'm so pissed. read more
