I used to think all IHOP Restaurants were the same. Friendly, delicious, and just all around great. But this location is honestly a disappointment. As soon as we got in, the hostess' were not even paying attention to us because they were looking at each other's nails. The person handling our orders wasn't very friendly. It seemed like everyone had an attitude. I was brought my food, and I was almost done with my hash browns, not yet finished with the rest of my plate and I found a hair about 2 inches long in it. I just ignored it despite how gross that was. I moved onto my pancakes. And there was a long silver hair in it???? I immediately got nauseous and left, leaving my boyfriend to handle the situation. Surprisingly a first review for this location? When you go to practically any IHOP on the weekend, you're bound to wait for a table. When you're the hostess and you give a time frame, you should mean 15 mins is 15 mins. Thanks to this IHOP! Looking at the Saturday morning crowds, you'd think you'd have to wait 30+ mins for seating, but the hostess said 15 mins. Guess what? We waited about 14 mins for a table. Now that's what I like. Don't beat around the bush and throw some time frame out like the other restaurants. What i've noticed with IHOP, even though they're super busy, your pancakes and eggs come out on time. Went to IHOP here on my visit to LA and I never thought I'd review an ihop, but this one was definatly the nicest in terms of service I've ever had. I think all IHOP chains could learn how to ruin based on how nice their staff is. No other IHOP can compare to the attention and kindness of these servers. I came here with friends and only got a milkshake and since it was like 2am they gave it on the house so I made sure to tip the difference extra. read more

Your manager assaulted me and my friends in the store today. My friends is disabled and they were being discriminatory and offered him a small table and when we asked for better accommodations they offered a small chair that would hurt his back. We did not fit on this small booth and saw several tables open in the back. Since we saw big booths open we asked if we could go there and our server said yes. While we were moving tables we wanted to make it easier so we moved the menus with us. Next thing I know my friend and me were assaulted by the manager and another middle aged woman who also works there. They grabbed the menus saying get out and wait 20 minutes. I explained how our server said we could move here and they made a whole scene and began tugging on the menu in our hands. I asked them to let go but they both began tugging on the menu. This was assault and a traumatic experience. They were explained to by our server that we were right and she told us to move. They told us to get out and said they will call the cops for a misunderstanding on their end. They made a whole ordeal and called my disabled friend a big boy and were chanting racist slurs. This is not okay! I am in tears from the assault and discrimination I faced today. To top it all off it was on new years as well. They ruined our holidays and I cannot let this type of behavior slide. They need to be held accountable for harassing, assaulting , and discriminating against me and my friends. read more

We got seated fairly quickly but nobody came to take our order for ages. We had to flag someone down. After ordering we got our drinks and there was some hard milk looking substance in my mothers drink!? I almost wanted to vomit from looking at it. When we asked for a new drink the waiter just said "oh that's the old coffee or something, I'll get a new one." I'm astonished and made me question if anything was clean. The food was pretty good besides the small portions and the service was all-round mediocre. The actual place gets pretty loud at time too, with so many people in such a small building and a semi-open kitchen. I used to loveeee ihop more than denny's. Somehow that's turned around because the food here just isn't good. I came here on the 57th anniversary day where they served a stack of buttermilk pancakes for 57 cents. pretty good deal! I understand that the waitresses were not super attentive that day since cheap meals often meant less tip. However, my party of three decided to also order two additional dishes - the egg's Benedict (11.99) and the french toast with bacon strips (7.99). Still the waitress was not attentive to us at all. Two minutes after all our food came to the table, she gave us the bill, which basically meant that she wanted us to leave. The restaurant wasn't even half full so I didn't understand the urgency to rush us out of there. Throughout the entire meal, we didn't see her until we paid at the very end. My cup of water was empty even before the food came, but we had to flag down another waiter to fill our water cups. Egg's benedict - it came with hash browns that were burnt and it was probably one of the worst egg's benedict i have had. The sauce had barely any flavor and seemed watered down french toast with bacon strips - not anything special. The bacon strips were way too salty and the french toast didn't have much flavor. buttermilk pancakes - probably the only thing good about this meal and the deal made it even better. Every table provides boysenberry, butter pecan, old fashioned, and strawberry syrup, so it was nice to try the various flavors of syrups. Not impressed with the food or the service. Each time I come here, the service gets worse and the food gets more expensive and it doesn't even taste any better. The restaurant got a makeover a couple of years ago. The exterior and a bit of the interior was remodeled, but I think a lot of changes need to be made, especially when it comes to the staff. You shouldn't be keeping broke bottles of ketchup at peoples tables. You also shouldn't seat people near restrooms, it's disgusting. Usually I ask to move when placed in a location I dislike, but when I go out to eat with my family who is usually hungry after waiting to be seated, I don't like to inconvenience them. I also think it's terrible to serve people drinks with dirty or broken cups. It's dangerous and unsanitary. If a cup is broken, chipped, has a fracture or is damaged in any sort of way, you need to throw that cup away. You can't be serving people drinks with broken cups, it's just a lawsuit waiting to happen. I also think the prices need to be changed. I know this isn't something that yelping about will help, and I know the employees don't set the prices, but seriously $3.89 for a small cup of apple juice? Why does Apple juice cost more than coffee? You don't even get refills, what's that about?! The workers here also need to stop chatting and be more attentive to their tables, I'm tired of getting servers who look like they don't want to be there. This IHOP location gets me nostalgic, however, I don't frequent IHOP that much these days. I can remeber coming to this IHOP when I was 6 which is more than a few decades (figure my age!). My family including grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles used to have brunch here on Sundays at times after church. Even my cousins from the East Coast that visit have great memories of eating here. It's always the same for me here for me. Pancakes, pancakes, more pancakes and sometimes french toast with different types of flavored syrups from strawberry, blueberry, boysenberry, and old fashion maple. A little bacon doesn't hurt either. There used to be a spin the wheel deal with discounts. I'm not sure if this is the case anymore but I recall in college getting 25% off my meal.
