Service-wise they came by to give food the check and occasionally came once or twice to check up on us. I got the classic fish tacos and thought they were without taste. Usually im a pretty easy going person that's easy to please but the tacos didn't do it. However my wife got the burger and she said that totally satisfied her craving for a burger. We usually love Islands but this time it was slightly disappointing. We Uber'd 2 orders of chips and guac, tortilla soup, and kids Mac n Cheese. Everything was hot and what not. The Mac n Cheese wasn't creamy... and the guac was really really salty and they gave us a half a scoop in both orders what we paid for it I felt like we were robbed. So very disappointing! I came here with a group of people ranging in ages from a child to grown adults, and our tummies were satisfied. Myself, one of the grown adults ordered the sliders appetizer. It consisted of 4 sliders on miniture buns, a handful of pickle chips, and those crispy onion things. Although it was on the appetizer menu for a few bucks less, I was charged for the slider meal for a few bucks more. I didn't even see that option on the menu. . My guy ordered a massive plate of loaded nachos. Everything was pretty good. Our friends ordered mainly appetizers and a couple platters of fish tacos. They seemed to like it. Prices average $16 to $20 per plate. Service was okay. A small delay on making sure our waters and drinks were refilled in a timely manner. Parking is terrible. A solid burger containing two thick beef patties, juicy and meaty, two American cheese slices, raw white onion, pickles, tomatoes, chopped romaine. Either the meat or cheese (or combination of the two) was slightly too salty, so I added plain lettuce from our salad into mine. The burger came with a side of crispy, thick cut fries. They tasted similar to In-N-Out fries minus the cardboard, so they were excellent. We chose ranch for our dipping sauce. The ranch was on the thin side, but had dairy flavor. - Sleek Greek Salad with Chicken ($10.99). I appreciated the big portion and plentiful toppings of cold sliced chicken breast, kalamata olives, feta, red onion, and diced tomato. Stopped by Islands with my family today and usually I am a big fan but today was not it. The service was great and the staff were very nice but the food tasted off. The fries did not taste good and the burgers were average. After eating, my family and I all got diarrhea and that was our first meal of the day so pretty sure the food had something to do with it. I've loved eating at Islands for years. One of the things that set apart their burgers were the well toasted buns, fresh taste and crispy French fries. This was even the case when I ordered it for take out. Unfortunately this was not the case today. Not sure if it's due to the new packaging they have (plastic black boxes) but the longboarder burger was completely soggy, the bun was soaked. And the fries were limp with no crisp to them. If you own this islands, I suggest changing the Togo packaging or you will lose customers. The food is no longer worth it. read more
