My favorites are the thin crust Margherita pizza and the Chicken Tequila Fettuccine--both always hit the spot. This location has really gone down hill on service as by the constant turnover in staff. The managers always give me attitude any time they make a mistake and never admit they are wrong. The latest incident of selling me a loaf of bread that had tomato sauce on it as obviously someone touched it with unclean hands. The manager Caroline promised to replace if I took a picture and brought it in however when I did so the manager Zara refused to honor that promise and made up some ridiculous excuse why she would not replace it. Caroline always gives me a hard time about using gift cards and I have had to come back several times as she overcharged me on rewards points and gift cards. When I complained recently I got an email from Caroline they would no longer serve me at this location which is outrageous since I have been eating there 14 years and a loyal customer of CPK since the first store opened in 1985 read more

The space is big and clean so doesn't feel stuffy inside. We were a party of 12 and had no trouble on a Thursday evening getting a table. We ordered a little of everything so everyone could try a couple things. Overall, everything we had was good (just like I remembered it) and some things were really good. The salads were crisp and fresh. The pizzas were all cooked well (no burnt pieces). The dynamite shrimp is a great appetizer - crispy shrimp with a sweet spicy siriacha sauce. The Thai crunch salad half portion was a great amount and filling. The garlic cream and chicken piccata pastas were also good. We love spicy food and were we able to add Serrano peppers to our pizza for an extra kick. You must always get the BUTTER CAKE dessert with ice cream. A MUST! On Halloween, I brought my little one and her classmates to California pizza kitchen to enjoy a build your own Halloween themed pizza. I called the day or so beforehand to make sure the arrangements were possible. Not only did I kind of get the runaround but various people told me all kinds of interesting things about why they weren't sure whether or not this arrangement could be made possible. When I explained that I'd be bringing three children to do this activity on Halloween. They seem to kind of freak out. I think they assumed that I was bringing three irresponsibly unsupervised children to the restaurant to make a mess and run a muck. This was definitely not the case. I am proud to say that my little one and their friends know how to behave and they don't really associate with other kids who would behave so poorly. Anyway, the arrangements were set. Everything was made possible and we had no issues. The kids had a lot of fun making their pizzas. The parents had a lovely time talking and helping the kids to get this done. The kids also had fun opening their Halloween goodie bags. The restaurant staff were very friendly. Initially when we were arrived, There's a big mix of us so where we were supposed to be seated. Remember, like I told you, we had to have special arrangements made so that this Pizza making could take place. So we were seated in a particular portion of the restaurant that apparently is not utilized all too often. There's a lot of redecorating and moving a furniture and things that had to be done. But no worry, I rethink came together nicely and it went off without any problems. The adults were able to order and enjoy lunch specials. The kids had their pizzas. We even overindulged in the butter cake flight. It was a very nice time. I have a feeling that simple things like drink refills and what not were a bit more of a problem since we were on the further side of the restaurant from everybody else. We came in a good time. Firstly, I love CPK but, this location always seems to get it wrong. We stopped going here for over a year due to a bad experience. We went back a couple days ago and had one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had. The service was terrible. We waited an hour for our food and when it came, it was cold. We had to ask the waiter for the usual bread and olive oil. It took them forever to bring my wife's Mango Sangria and the waiter never bothered to get a refill on the ice tea. I sent the pizza back because it arrived cold but, we had to flag down a different waiter to get that done. I'm not sure if our waiter just didn't like us or what? The table behind us arrived after us and was served by the same guy, they got the bread without asking, got their food in a timely fashion and had refills on drinks without asking. Same with another table across from us. The manager was nice and comp'ed us the entree's so I was torn about doing this review. The food was alright, I've been to other CPKs with better service. The servers name was Rogie and right from the start he looked like he didn't want to be there. I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience really disappointed me. My family and I love CPK, which is why what happened last Friday around 8:30 PM was so upsetting. I had just come from work and was looking forward to a decent dinner, but instead, I left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet our service was noticeably lacking. Our waiter offered bread but never brought it. After our food arrived, he never checked on us, never refilled our water, and only came back when I asked for the check. Meanwhile, we observed him checking on other tables regularly, offering drink refills, and providing much more attentive service. It's hard not to feel like the difference in treatment was because of how we were dressed--we were simply wearing sweaters after a long day. No one should feel judged or treated differently based on their appearance. To make matters worse, the payment machine is brought directly to the table and the server stands there while you select the tip option, which feels uncomfortable--especially after receiving poor service. After a long day of work, the last thing anyone wants is to feel discriminated against while trying to enjoy a meal with their family. Man, I hate to give CPK a 1 star review. I mean, it's CPK, we all know what the food is. However, with this CPK, it's particularly about the service and delivery. Several times now, we have ordered through door dash, and they drag a really long time, and even worse items are missing. Now here's where it ends: just now, I got another order with my wife's food missing. And to add to the insult, they wrote on my pizza box: "Sorry GF crust missing, pls mark missing for refund." I feel like, to be honest, this CPK has caught on with how to game the door dash system. They know we can get a quick refund, so instead of doing the right thing and contacting us to notify us an ingredient is missing, allowing us to change or cancel our order, they just rush the stuff out, say sorry deal with it. Other restaurants have called me to clarify orders. So why can't they? And I repeat, this has happened multiple times with this CPK. This is not an isolated incident. So what, we wait 40min to find out we got half our order and now one person is left starving? Sure we can get credit back... but what if we're, you know, hungry and want to make a decision at the point of purchase? This is a really, really bad business practice. No big, I figured slow days happen, and we sat and pursed through the menu for a minute before we decided what we wanted. And then we sat, and waited, and waited. Kat helped her table nearby and then approached us and asked if our waiter had gotten drinks yet. We told her we hadn't even met them yet and she offered to get us drinks. We told her and then she offered to take our order as well, which we also gave her. After leaving our table we could both see and hear her tell our waitress that she'd gotten our orders and the other waitress told her well then take us. Kat was amazing and went above and beyond her job, she sold her upgrades well and had no problem despite us being out of her section. For the first time at the end of our meal, our original waitress swung by and asked if we needed anything else. We said no and asked for the check, which took us another fifteen minutes to get from her as Kat was busy with some new tables. When our original waitress came by with the check she threw it on the table and didn't offer another word before going to her actual tables and plastering a fake smile on her face. I didn't catch her name, but watching six staff hover around the bar laughing and talking together with drinks while one is doing all the work made sure we were only tipping her and nothing else.
