MY NEW OBSESSION... let me move in here & pack my bags immediately because HELLO?!? THE FOOD, SERVICE, ENERGY WAS EXTREMELY IMMACULATE. * absolutely loved loved loved the quinoa avacado salad & i had to get the vegan chorizo! * in addition, i got the pesto pasta on the side which healed a part of me that i was missing. * also, i took a bite from my bf & tried the steak sandwich and it was very delicious as well! luckily, we got a table because there's a lot of people that sit down & eat here depending on the day.

We visited Mendocino Farms in the Americana on a weekend during lunchtime. It was really busy and there were almost no indoor seating or outdoor seating available. There was also a line to order. We waited around 10 minutes to find a seat once somebody left inside and another 10 minutes or so to get our food. The service was good, but our food came out pretty slow. The worker said that there was supposed to be a QR code on every table that you scan and they will bring the food to you, but our table was missing a QR code so we went up to the counter to get our food. I ordered a chicken pesto caprese with a side of pasta salad. The bread is crunchy and toasted, and all the ingredients are very fresh and taste high-quality. The pasta salad was pretty good as well. I liked the sandwich, but the environment of the restaurant was very crowded and cramped and the wait times were also rather inconvenient. I personally don't think I'll be visiting this location again (or at least not during meal time) because of the crowded nature of the store, but the food was pretty memorable!

This was such a yummy treat! It is in the Americana at Brand. First time there- so good! It's very quaint. Sandwich, soup, salad, and kids menu! There was something for everyone!

I love Mendocino farms so it's cool to see it in the Americana. Simple menu and healthy food, I ended up getting the 1/2 Sandwich (chicken pesto caprese) and a bowl of corn chowder. Food was good and overall was just solid. A classic delicious sandwich. This location is a bit smaller than other Mendocino Farms that I've been to with only about maybe 10 seats inside. When I came on Sunday at 12 there were still plenty of seats but the crowd started to come in around 12:30. Overall, good healthy food for reasonable prices.

A year in the life of Mendocino Farms at the Americana at Brand has arrived and I finally was able to stop in this location and try the full M.F. Glendale version experience. Bright cafe styled casual convenient dine in or take out cino fun begins when you pass their small quaint outdoor patio into modern kitchen comfort farm style decor - signature whites, blues and warm wood wrapping about and making up the ultimate "Eat Happy" meal you never knew you needed. SERVICE: The person who rang us up was really warm, but mellow at the same time. She let us know about the QR code order delivery system where you scan your phone on your table of choice and input your order number so they know which table to deliver to. Refills, napkins, utensils and additional items require the walking up experience as well as the obvious use of their facilities (aka restrooms) EATS & SIPS: I had a plant-based classic - The Impossible Taco Salad - having it in a large ceramic bowl w/ a refreshing lemonade (mendocino is known for original brews such us teas, juices and nades). My dining companion also known as bae aka my boyfriend gave one of the Chef's Creations (limited time offer items) a chance (which I'm not sure if this is location specific - I'd imagine it might be). He had the Street Corn Chicken Sandwich which he loved but was loaded with sauce that made for a messy savory meal for him. A nice passion fruit black tea to go with it all was just the right pairing on a warm summer day. We definitely "ate happy" and had those big post lunch smiles from good meals. Sides were considered, but with their vegan version of the potato salad no longer being available and the Spicy Curried Couscous being just okay I was plenty good. The kale & rainbow salad would go great with my guy's sandwich, but you often forget about sides due to them not being included with meals at more fast style eateries like M. Farms. Will be back for a second time to Mendocino Farms on Brand, my bf has been more than once (definitely a fan).

Had a great experience at this restaurant and ordered the beloved Vegan Banh Mi. The sandwich was very delicious and flavorful and came out pretty quickly. It was the perfect amount of spicy. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were a few open tables during lunchtime and thankfully they were clean. The ambiance was cheerful yet relaxed and cozy. Like the QR code system at the tables to input my receipt number for them to find which table I'm at.

So happy to get one in Glendale! I loved their Vegan Banh Mi. My aunt had the picanna steak. Loved the sandwiches and the freshness.

Sometimes the food is a bit salty, but otherwise full of healthy options (10 + kinds of salad and veggie dishes) with decedent choices, too (extra cheesy lasagna). It's a self service restaurant, but also expensive. You set your own table and pour your own water glasses. Dinner for two with beverages is easily $85 or more with tip. There are no refills on drinks like iced tea. The upside of it being self service, is you can hang out as long and chat as long as you like. There is good chance if you do linger that you might order desert or a second small $10 iced tea (with tax and tip). It would be quite easy to spend well over $100 for 2, without table service... If it were a little less expensive, I would be a regular... but if it were less expensive then it would be hard to find a table because that whole neighborhood would be hanging out here.

It was getting late, so while I waited for the kid in the car at their activity, I went on The Heights website found an order form and placed an order for some sammies all in 5 minutes. I didn't even ask the hubs or the vegetarian kid what they wanted. I went with what I thought they'd like. 15-minutes later, I was picking the sandwiches up at the walk-in only shop. There was no line and better yet, they were wrapped up and ready to go when I walked in. The smiling lady asked if I wanted napkins or utensils. They have case after case of cold drinks so we picked out a couple of drinks, paid for those and left. It was easy and fast. Enjoyed the yumminess at home. I normally would save a half for another meal but my "Pasadena" hit the spot that I finished it up all at once. Quality bread, meats, cheese, fillings aka all the ingredients...to boot! PS the kid loved theirs and so did the hub. Thanks for making dinner: easy and delicious! There are no pictures because it was too delicious to take the time out and take any. Just order.

But I'm rooting for these guys, because the food is good and this side of Eagle Rock needs more restaurant dinner options. I ordered the BBQ combo and it did not disappoint! (Yummmm) generous portions of chicken kabob and beef lule, served over rice with hummus and warm pita. Hearty, filling, and hits the spot when you're craving something comforting and savory. They create warmth, generosity, and genuine connection. On my very first visit, I mentioned that I lived nearby in Glassell Park and that my wife might meet me here after a long day. When plans changed and she went straight home, exhausted, Arnous quietly brought me food for my wife -- unasked, unexpected, and deeply touching. It was a simple act of kindness during a very dark and stressful time in my life that cut through all the pain and disappointment I was carrying. Arnous is not a fluent English speaker, but in that moment he spoke eloquently to my heart without words. Now, these words are a small gesture for me to repay his kindness to simply say in public: Thank you. God Bless You. May your business prosper and thrive as it should. As for what to order -- if it's your first time and you eat pork, start with the pork kebab. It is beyond sublime. Perfectly seared on the outside (you can taste the charcoal), moist and tender inside, and without exaggeration the best pork kebab I've ever had anywhere. It's served with a generous portion of beautifully prepared rice that captures every bit of the juices, classic hummus that is timeless and satisfying, and the grilled tomato and green pepper that complete the plate exactly as they should. Ask for the garlic sauce on the side. Every place has their own version, and this one is the most potent -- and the best -- I've ever had. Just the tip of a knife is enough to fill your mouth with garlic flavor. It's incredible with the meat, the rice, and honestly just about anything. I also tried the chicken luleh kebab, which was outstanding -- and even better reheated the next day, when I turned it into my own improvised burrito at home. It held up beautifully. The beef kebab was cooked to perfection as well, and they're happy to prepare it to your preference (medium-rare to medium is ideal). There's a saying that a good meal is not just nourishment, but comfort, memory, and connection. That is not a cliché here -- it's a lived truth. The food is prepared with such care and love that it satisfies a hunger you didn't even know you had. I've been eating Armenian food across Los Angeles for over twenty years, including places considered among the best. I can honestly say I have not had better food -- or been shown greater kindness -- than at Shawarma House. Part of me wants everyone to know about this place, and part of me selfishly hopes it stays exactly as it is -- a small, special spot where you can still sit down and feel welcomed. Either way, it's a gift to the neighborhood.
