    House Special Burrito
    Dexter B.

Randomly picked up on this place, the House Special Burrito is really good (menu photo for contents). The chipotle aioli sauce added so much flavor to the burrito and has a nice little kick to it. The burrito comes in a big size, so it makes up for the price of the burrito a little bit. The service was really nice and the place is on the side of a street, so you can park at the bakery across or side street. Definitely would love to come back and try other items.

I got the breakfast burrito with bacon and me and my friend shared the carne asada fries and she got the elote. The breakfast burrito is HUGE it was really good. I enjoyed it. The hot sauce was not poppin. I need that roja hot sauce LOL. Carne asada fries were also very good. Something about using nacho cheese makes it that much better. We came here after a hike so the food really hit the spot. It was really expensive for everything tho. Our total was like $50. Crazy!!!!!

I found street parking for this location. The parking lot directly behind this place does not allow parking for Brick and Flour. The door said PULL, but it went the other direction instead and the person who was behind the door pulled towards them as we were entering the establishment. You order the food first and they will call your name when the order is ready. As we were waiting for our food, there was a lot of wind coming from the open door. I tried to close the door to stay warm, but I think the door was broken because it wouldn't remain closed. Also, as we were waiting, we noticed bugs flying in from the door and going to the window (saw a big mosquito in front of where I was and some little gnats of some sort). Due to the door remaining opened, I was really cold and couldn't be comfortable. Even another lady sitting next to us tried shutting it, couldn't do it, so she moved to another spot while waiting for her food. There really wasn't any tables for you to enjoy your food. We went there hoping to eat there and celebrate a birthday. There were a few counter spots with chairs, that maybe 10 people at most can sit and eat. I feel like the spots that were available are meant for people to sit and wait for their food to be ready and takeaway. I don't consider this place as a sit down restaurant. They do have some room in the front that they can add a few tables and chairs for guests to sit down and eat. Their food was a little pricy for what it was. However, the quesadilla that I ordered wasn't bad for the size I got. They have a regular size and a large size for the nachos/fries. It is definitely sharable with friends! It was more Americanized than we hoped for. The Pastor didn't taste like authentic Mexican flavors. But the food overall, wasn't bad. I'm not sure if we would come back to this location when I saw they have another location in Pasadena.

I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon, small carne asada fries and an elote. The breakfast burrito was huge! It was absolutely loaded with eggs, bacon and cheese. It also comes with spicy and mild salsa. The carne asada fries were my favorite. The carne asada was well seasoned, and the fries were still hot and fresh. The guac and the pico all balanced well with the fries and carne. Would say this is a must order. The elote was decent and was seasoned well but unfortunately the corn itself wasn't sweet. Maybe I got a bad piece but overall, it was still tasty. Service was excellent! The cashier was kind and we received our orders in less than 15 minutes. There are a few seats by the counter. The store itself is on the smaller side. There is parking in the back lot and also on the street. More of a to go spot/single diner spot rather than a sit down and hang out to catch up with friends and eat spot. Would come back though! Food was pretty tasty.

Very conveniently located in Glendale. Nice trendy Mexican restaurant! I had Carne Asado burrito with all rice, no beans. Very good! Check out the menu!

A friend and I stopped by this spot after work one night. Service was quick and helpful. It got busier as we ate at the restaurant, there was limited seating inside, but most people did pickup. The tacos I got were pretty yummy and filling! A bit hard to eat without a fork!

I have been going to Brick and Flour for about 5 years. I love that they have breakfast items such as the breakfast bowl. There is parking in the back and some seating inside the restaurant. Service is quick and my friend loved the carne asada fries.

This is the first time that I've heard of this restaurant. I would best describe the food as a more American style Mexican food spot. I love that it is a pretty quick service so if I were to choose this or fast food, I would definitely choose this instead. Love the simple flavors and doesn't leave me feeling gross after. The store itself is pretty simple. I love that they do have some seating in front of the window if you're wanting to have a quick lunch break. Definitely a good option for lunch.

I mean, the food is good but this place is changed. I remember it being more customer friendly. They use to have water on the counter now it's new people working in the front counter. I feel like it's not Customer friendly anymore walking in today. I've been feeling this way for a while now. I noticed that the people at the front counter changed that's when it seem more business as usual no one greeting you. I don't know it just feels rude to go in there now the previous people working front counter was better and Customer friendly I was told that I would have to wait 30 minutes for my order because they prioritize food and I guess they were so behind and they had orders online. So don't come here if you don't have at least 30 minutes to wait before your order is being made or coThis isn't a high-end restaurant where it should take 30 minutes for a single burrito or taco. This place has changed over the course of the past year or two I don't like it. Improve the service in terms of making sure the people working in the front are friendly. Also, if you can't handle customers walking in the stores orders, maybe don't take online orders. I don't think they can handle it.

QMy wife and I randomly ended up here. Two tacos and a burrito with street corn. Well make the trip from Corona to come back! Awesome food!!

Late night food has a special place in people's hearts. It's the comfort, the warmth, the elevated flavors that make such meals the most memorable. Brick and Flour is most directly everything that needs to exist to generate those vibes. It is full of flavor, melted cheese, amazing tortillas and filling portions. As the restaurant describes itself, they do not focus on traditional Mexican food and is executed in Tex Mex style. It is a hole in the wall, so the space is very small with very limited seating. On the day of the visit, it was slightly uncomfortable too as the door was broken and thus was constantly propped open, making the interior rather cold on a winter LA night. That was probably the biggest downside and the staff did not want to close the door. This was not a major inconvenience, but they do need to make dining experience a little more comfortable.

Love this spot for some burrito bowls or burritos. Surf and Turf with that sauce is another level.

What is the reason for the 6.0% service charge?

Because the service is so horrible and offensive, with everyone ignoring you, that they don't trust you will leave a decent tip on your own.

Do they have combos that come with beans and rice?

They don't have combos. You can get an side of rice & beans, but it is pretty large. Enough for 2/3 people. Their sides are fries, rice, beans, & chips & guac.

Is the price for each taco or does it come with two?

Per taco, but they aren't small tacos. They are probably equivalent to 2 tacos other places.

    Do they have delivery?

They have delivery only through either grubhub or postmates.

    Is there taco Tuesday?

    No no.

....you guys don't have a beer selection on your menu? Pero like how do I eat a taco without my beer or a michelada....how white-washed are you?

Go to Mexico and eat them.

Are there options for salsa that are non-spicy?

They ask you if you want mild or spicy !

Does Brick & Flour use either corn oil, rice bran oil, soybean oil, and/or peanut oil in preparation of any foods? And if so which ones? Thank you!

Hey Rachel! The fries, fish and crispy chicken are fried using canola oil (we don’t use peanut oil because people have peanut allergies). In regards to the carne asada, grilled chicken, al pastor, carnitas, and house special meats, they are seasoned… Read more

The nachos were absolutely amazing--one of the best parts of the meal. Before we even ordered, they brought out chips with green and red salsa, and even those chips were delicious. However, the enchiladas were not good at all. Still, the nachos were so good, with guacamole and cheese coming together perfectly, that I would definitely go back whenever I'm craving nachos. Lately, I've been really enjoying watching World Cup soccer games, and it was fun to watch and cheer together while having dinner there. One thing I noticed: the women's restroom was not well maintained at first. There was no toilet seat cover and no toilet paper in one of the restrooms, so I felt it could have been cleaner and better managed. However, when I went back a second time, I saw a staff member actively restocking supplies, handing out toilet seat covers and toilet paper to others, and communicating with housekeeping over a radio about what was needed. That made me feel better about how they manage the facility. Overall, from the hostess who seated us to the servers, all the staff were very friendly, which made the experience even better. First off, it's a beautiful restaurant with Spanish touches throughout. There is seating inside and outside the restaurant in the courtyard. In the courtyard, there was a musician playing the guitar. Loved, LOVED his rendition of Hotel California. Really put me in a relaxing mood. The food here is unbelievably good with a few minor exceptions. Here is a run down of everything we had: -Patatas Bravas 5/5 stars. The roasted potatoes were delicious and the creamy sauce drizzled on top made it that much better. -Croquetas de Jamon y Pollo 4/5 stars. I remember it being tasty, but it wasn't as memorable as some of the other things I tried. -Gambas al Ajillo 5/5 stars. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and flavored. Even the bread, which tasted like sourdough, was fantastic. -Calamares Fritos 10/5 stars. No, that is not a typo. I usually avoid calamari like the plague since I'm not a fan of the taste. Here, however, I couldn't stop eating the calamari. I was popping them in my mouth like popcorn. There was something about the batter they used to coat the calamari. It had a satisfying crunch to it. Didn't even need the sauce it came with. -Prime Ribeye (prepared medium rare) 3/5 stars. The steak was okay. It was a bit undercooked and didn't have a nice crust on it. -Papitas Fritas: 10/5 stars. Once again, not a typo. The fries here were something special, which is saying a lot since fries are ubiquitous. The fries were delicately crispy and delicious. -Jamon Iberico Cebi de Campo with Manchego Cheese 4/5 stars. The Jamon Iberico was good, but not great. It had a slightly weird after taste that I usually don't get from high quality Jamon Iberico. -Tarta De Queso and Churros con Chocolate 3/5 stars. These were the only two items that I was truly disappointed with. There was nothing special about these dessert items. The churros were bland. -Cucumber Mint Cooler and Devil's Day Off 5/5 stars. Both of these drinks were refreshing. The Cucumber Mint Cooler, in case you're wondering, could best be described as a well executed, non-alcoholic cucumber mojito. The Devil's Day Off was a fizzy grapefruit and cinnamon delight. I have to end this review with the service. It was top notch. Our server, Robert, was not only extremely friendly, but helpful and informative. He walked us through the menu and talked us out of ordering certain items so that we wouldn't over order food or get items too similar to one another. At one point, we were debating whether to order the Churrasco a la Plancha (8 oz ribeye) or 12 oz ribeye. One person from our family wanted the fritas that only came with the Churrasco while another person (me) wanted the 12 oz ribeye. Robert resolved the disagreement by suggesting that we just order the 12 oz ribeye and they'll throw in the fritas for free (which they did). At the end of the meal, he made sure to point out that the gratuity had already been added to the bill and that there was no need to add a tip. We appreciated the heads up, otherwise we may not have noticed that. If it's not clear from my write up, I really enjoyed this place, despite a few items that missed the mark. If it wasn't so far away from where I live, I would have been back this weekend to try out more items from the menu.

Many dishes arrived either uncooked or poorly cooked, lacking the flavors and textures that make Mexican cuisine so vibrant. For instance, the tacos were soggy and bland, while the enchiladas seemed like they were hastily thrown together with minimal seasoning. It was disheartening to see such potential squandered on poorly executed dishes. The only redeeming quality of the afternoon lunch was our waiter, who was attentive and friendly. He tried to make our dining experience enjoyable, but even his efforts couldn't salvage the meal. Overall, I cannot recommend this place for anyone seeking authentic Mexican cuisine.
