Tacos

I've been coming to Taqueria El Tapatio for over 15 years, and it's been consistently amazing every single time. This place never misses. My go-to is the nachos de asada with everything--they're loaded, flavorful, and always satisfying. The cheese tacos are also a must. Both are packed with flavor and always made right. The people are very nice and always remember my order! Great vibes always. This spot is a true gem in Glendale. Great food, great people, and a place that's stood the test of time. Highly recommend!

Very decent taco spot. I had asada, al pastor, and cabeza tacos. Asada was good, al pastor and cabeza were not bad either, I personally prefer al pastor on the crispier side so will have to ask and see if they can make it extra crispy next time. Prices are good for these days, many places charge $2.5-3 per taco now, which is insane, only a few years ago $1-1.5 was the norm. Here it's still just under $2 and the meat ratio is ideal in my opinion. 6 of them got me full, you can probably get away with 4-5 if not too hungry. Salsas are decent, and they don't sting out on peripherals - pickled jalapeños and carrots, radishes, limes. The service was pretty quick too and they have outside sitting. Definitely coming back.

Asada Tacos. Bland. Weak salsas.

The breakfast burritos and carnitas (tacos/burritos/torta) are very good. Prices here are cheaper than street vendors. Taqueria El Tapatio has been serving the Glendale community since 1979! They are welcoming here and the tasty food comes out fast. Good spot if you are in a hurry. The ambiance and location is a total shack, but it's SAFE for the most part. I been coming here for years. Most people do takeout, but if you decide to eat there bring a jacket. The mysterious wind breeze will definitely be felt. Credit Cards and Apple Pay now accepted; it's no longer cash only.

This place might just be my new go to spot for Mexican food! You can't beat the prices. Less than $3 per taco and they're full of meat? Amazing. This small business is located in a little corner and parking can be a little tough to get, but so worth it! We got a feast of food: al pastor, birria, fish and lengua tacos, aqua frescas, and a quesadilla. All tasted delicious! The birria did not come with consommé. They forgot to give us one taco so we drove back, and they added an extra one. This is a small stand with limited seating outside. Will 100% be back!

tacos 2.40

amazing spot. the food is great, their tacos are the best, which they are only 2.40 which is a great price. the service is great, it's a family owned restaurant and the area, the tables and everything are always clean.

got five tacos and an asada burrito which was such a great decision. We were looking for a spot to eat after going to the Glendale mall and found this place. This was better than any places I've eaten in that mall!!! Super tasty and affordable, something quick. service was great! The guy who handed us our food gave us everything we needed in a heartbeat.

Best carne asada I've ever had! We placed a huge order for a 10 person corporate lunch and everything turned out fantastic! The service was great, very accommodating and they gave us plenty of extras and salsas.

Best cheese quesadilla...

I've been eating at this on the go fast El Tap since my college years . Best midnight , grab , snack and go. I love everything on the menu and have tried and sampled most of their dishes. Very affordable and you get A LOT for what you pay for and it's sooooo goooooood , very mom and pop and very authentic. The service is always excellent and they always give you extra of everything . The meat is fresh and the chicken flautas are crunchy and fresh . My favorite is the cheese quesadilla... not cheap on the cheese it runs cheesy and so delicious. They have seating outside , parking is a bit of an issue but the food is totally worth the hassle .

Peek inside the bag... 2 burritos, a burger, salsas, and condiments.

No problem with finding a parking space at 330 pm on Saturday afternoon. There is no indoor dining room, only outside table and chairs. This is a walk up window type of fast food joint. Not sure if it was an old Der Weinerschnitzel as it has the classic steep A-framed roof. I browsed the menu board for a minute, stepped to the window, and ordered a bean-cheese burrito, a pastor burrito, and a double bacon cheeseburger togo. It seemed that I wasn't sitting too long, about 10 minutes, when she called me to pick up my order. Carolina offered me the radishes, pickled jalapeno, carrots, and she put two of red and green salsas in the bag. I was out of there in under 15 minutes. YMMV. The two burritos will be leftovers as I chose to eat the burger first. I wish the bacon was crispier but they were not. It's a good burger, would have been much better with crispy bacon. I will update this review when I eat the burritos.

Get the quesadilla (con todo if you want) and the horchata. Their salsa verde is great too.

Love the food there, tacos are the favorite and the green and red sauce are great. The outdoor seating is nice during these cooler days.

It was still good and the presentation was honestly very artistic. As it darkened outside, the overhead lights dimmed inside the restaurant and their colored lights grew stronger! We ordered several frozen margaritas and they were generous sizes for a decent price, but were very melted by the time they were served. They were also a bit bland: not very tart, sweet, or strong. I shared a plate of the flautas (two steak / two chicken) and three chicken enchiladas, which both came with rice and beans. Everything was made well and the flautas were super crunchy, so that was a huge plus! It was enough to have plenty of leftovers if you're not too hungry. We were celebrating a graduation and didn't know there was a cake holding fee of $15, which I personally feel is on the pricier end. The food service was a bit slow, but we all got our food around the same time. Our servers were also very attentive and accommodating. It's genuinely a nice place to have dinner if you're at the Americana at Brand.

Ok. Don't let those good drinks you got at the bar that one time fool you. I should have "listened"…read moreto all those other reviews. The food is not good. There was little to no seasoning. The food came out tepid at best and then left a greasy taste in your mouth. The flautas were weirdly covered by excess shredded lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream (to cover up the ridiculously thick tortillas covering the tasteless meats inside, no doubt). The carnitas were lacking in flavor. The drinks bought to the table lacked the flare (and the flavor) of those we had at the bar. The space itself, is weirdly expansive. The mirrored ceiling makes the empty coldness even worse. Top tip, don't go and wait for a table - any table - anywhere else at the Americana.

I…read morehad more than two years visit this restaurant since I move from Orange County to Glendale, I love Spanish food as a chef that works for more than 10 years in Spanish restaurants, I was trying to find a good Spanish restaurant in L.A, and I find it. Since the first time I take dinner with my family, the only that I have every time that I visited this place is just only gratitude for all the staff of the restaurant, kitchen and front of the house. The food is amazing, is how the real Spanish food needs to be, I remember my first time that I ordered a paella, I was mad cause my paella cames with out socarrat, and that's I when understand part of the bad reviews, my server told me that they used to make with socarrat but the people tough that it was burn, and that's why kitchen stop doing the socarrat on the paella. Gambas pealed same I ask why, people that don't like to clean the shrimp, so I think when you don't know about the food of another country you need to believe, in what chef is doing and tried by this way, and I'm writing this, cause like guest we have the chance to make reviews, and days that the food is good or no, but based in what. To finish I just want to agree that for me I one of the best Spanish restaurant, the ambiance the staff, the food, thanks casa cordoba to make me happy and my family. Please get the leche frita into the menu hahah,
