We were in the area and decided to give this place A try heard a lot of great things about it and I was not disappointed. The food is very flavorful. Very big portions and absolutely delicious. I haven't had good tacos in a really long time and these asada tacos were so flavorful and so good. The pastor tacos again delectable so much meat. The quesadillas was huge! And again so good! The wet asada burrito was really good and a decent size The prices were not bad My only complaint is while sitting in the seating area there were tons of flys it was not fun But for the food I highly recommend this place. read more

I had not eaten here in years. Decided to stop on my way home. $48 for 6 tacos, 1 bean and cheese burrito and 1 carne asada burrito. Are you kidding me? It was not good. Meat had no flavor. Dry, bland. Tortilla was mushy and falling apart. Lengua taco still had the skin on it. No flavor. Terrible. I remember this place a lot different. Also, clean up a little. Same ugly old tables from 20 years ago. 20 Grimy, old signs all over the place. People who gave this place 5 stars do not know how to eat and do not know what good food tastes like. Taco Azteca is my absolute favorite spot. This was one of the hardest things to move away from when I left So Cal. Every time I go home to visit, this is both my first and last spot to visit. I always back a cooler full of food to bring home with me. This is a little hole in the wall taco shop across the street from my High School. This is a family owned business and the same lovely people have been running this place for as long as I can remember. They are always so nice and accommodating, even when I am placing a huge order to bring home with me after visiting the area. Their street tacos and toratas are delicious but my go to is the Carne Asada Super Burrito with creme & cheese. I also love their quesadillas with asada. The last time I was visiting, I ordered an entire pint of their red sauce to bring home and freeze so I could have it when I cook at home. If I could bring the whole restaurant with me when I moved, I would. My brothers all still eat here frequently and I try to get them to overnight me food all the time. If you are in the area and looking for delicious authentic food this is the spot for you. Not to mention they are open late and their prices are great. They got me through my pregnancies and were always nice enough to stay open just past closing so I could pick up my order after my late shifts when I lived down there. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would. Azteca will always be my favorite place. read more

Taco Azteca is absolutely the best place for some delicious and authentic tacos and quesadillas! Upon arriving to this place, I was transported to a taqueria in Mexico. It's a small taqueria with minimal seating space but, that's what gives it that authentic taqueria vibes. This is the place if you need to fulfill a taco, quesadilla, or torta craving! Make sure you ask for their special green and red hot sauces that are freshly made there, they are absolutely mouth watering! So spicy but, so good! You also have to get the Mexican cokes here. They are ginormous. Biggest cokes I've seen and, so delicious! It really goes perfectly with the food. It's a must! The staff that work here are all super friendly and hardworking people, so I always love supporting small business like this one. This place is definitely worth coming to. I promise you won't regret it! This has become my new favorite place because of the food, vibes, and friendly staff. You don't immediately think "tacos!" when you think about Glendale, and this place reflects that. Its been years since I lived in Glendale and since I used to frequent this place (early 2000s). I'm not sure if it became "mid", or if it always was and I just hadn't tried enough tacos elsewhere to know better. The cabeza and buche meat in the tacos I ordered was tasty, however, the tortillas on all the tacos ordered completely fell apart. Every tortilla literally became mush. Ive been eating at this spot for over 20 years. Ive had Mexican food all over LA and these guys are on point. I order my asada burrito with no rice and extra sauce and it is incredibly tasty. Randomly craved tacos so I yelped a local taco spot in Glendale since we were heading that way. It's located at the corner of the street next to a mini cafe and across from a elementary or middle school. There are no parking lot but plenty of street parking. Very old building with minimal outdoor seating for guests. A few tables or bar style seating. It's a walk up window to order. Menu is very simple and there were small signage of mariscos like ceviche or shrimp cocktails. We had ordered 7 asada tacos and a large horchata. Food came out fairly quickly and they supply you with either green or red salsa. We just got the red and there were self serving trays of lime, beets and grilled jalapenos. The grilled jalapenos were spicy surprisingly but extremely juicy. The asada was juicy, well seasoned, and flavorful. Their tacos are smaller than your typical street taco size. I typically eat 3 tacos but it wasn't as filling but satisfied my stomach. Red salsa was good. Packed with heat and wasn't watered down. Friendly service and would definitely recommend coming back here. read more

One of the best spots around. The pastor burrito is one of my favorites, chicken tacos are also great, loaded with onion and cilantro and juicy chicken. Can say with confidence that their quesadilla will not leave you hungry (that mf is a unit frfr). Both salsas (red and green) are top notch. Red is the spicier of the two and the verde is way mild but flavorful. They provide fresh cut radish, lime and whole roasted jalapeños as sides and you get these yourself and pop them in a provided plastic bag while you wait for your order. Service is always matter of fact, straight business, no frills and professional. Food comes out super fast, I've never waited more than 5 mins for my order. A few spots to sit outside, maybe 8-10 total seats. I've seen a lot of first responders come here to eat, this place is a true neighborhood staple and I'm glad to support it. I don't always carry cash on me so I wish they had a tip option on the receipts for card transactions, as I'd always like to tip these guys and continue to support this Glendale establishment and its staff every time I visit. Very small place next to Glendale high. No parking lot but you can find street parking around the area. Has a couple of tables and also has a heat lamp. Love their tacos and burritos. I love their al pastor and chicken (trying to eat less red meat). Salsa is also solid. Good flavor with good kick from the red one. They have jalapeños, radish, and lime on the side for you to help yourself. Eat the food hot off the grill there! Definitely recommend! read more
