I went to get two tacos from this place. The food was good, but I felt like the young girl at the register was judging me for the shirt I was wearing. When I got my tacos, I went back to my car, which was parked behind the taco truck. I looked back and saw her gossiping and giggling with an older lady. They were staring at me and seemed to be talking about what I was wearing. I shouldn't be judged for my clothes when I just went there to get tacos, pay for them, and mind my own business. Writing this after eating my second Leo's burrito in as many days. That should tell you something. If it doesn't, I'll also tell you that every time I take a bite of their carne asada burrito I enter a fugue state that doesn't end until I've finished every last bite of food they've given me (including the radishes). Their asada is fire. All their meat is good, but their asada is seriously top tier. Everyone likes the all-meat burrito and I am no different BUT I'll still get their regular burrito because I love their beans + the mouthfeel of the whole thing. Everyone is so nice here, always chatting up regulars. They've got stools out front to sit there and they're open late for when you're starving after a night out. Come here!!! Do it!!!! We tried giving them a break, bcus my husband and I love them.. thinking things would change but we honestly, i don't know if the new cook lady is not practicing health code regulations or managing food temperature regulations or what! but for sure we've decided we can't keep supporting a business that is constantly making us sick every time we are spending money for their food. This is very much a spot I like to gate-keep for whenever I go to LA to visit my family, but man! It may just seem like a regular food truck on the side of the road of an apartment complex, but it's so much more than that. Let me tell you, the BEST BURRITO you can get. Been coming here for about 3 years now, each time is the same, extraordinary flavor filled food you can get from a truck. I'm never coming back here again. The guy at the window, I think his name was Jairo, was super rude. First as he was giving me the Zelle info he was trying to get me to take the plastic card with the Zelle info on it which I didn't want to take, since it was germy. So I was trying to take a picture of it and he asked me if I could step aside because there were "people waiting." There was literally only One person behind me. Have you seen the line at Angel's Tijuana tacos (which is like 3 min away btw), it goes for miles! And now we know why. Then later, when I went up to him to say that the guacamole was not guacamole but it was a sauce, he went and brought another one out and I told him it's ok I didn't want it. and he told me it's for the baby, and I don't have a baby. He was referring to my food baby obviously. So I again I told him I don't want it a few times, and after he kept insisting he then told me to just throw it away. ???!!!! Wth? He had a trash can right there he couldn't have thrown it away? People like this just irk me I swear. Go to Tijuana Tacos instead! PPS AND BTW- they don't even have any organ meats. Surprisingly, Leo's tacos won the award for the area taco crawl that night in our group of nine as the best carne asada! Even better than Angel's or Rambo's. Surprisingly but not. A neighborhood taco truck that's been around forever. The loyalty still shows. While ordering a couple who lived in Thousand Oaks told us they stop at Leo's everything they're in LA. Carne asada was very good. Great flavor. Would be great in a burrito. But alas it was taco night. Also got the Al pastor and it was good but it was clearly cooked on a grill. The quesadilla and burrito were tied for first but all 3 were pretty tasty. I'd never had a meat burrito and was fascinated. It's truly just meat and guac in a tortilla. So good! In hindsight I would've eaten it with the quesadilla instead of separately to balance the meat n cheese ratios in my mouth. The ppl were friendly, prompt and fast making the food. Cash only but they also take Zelle! Limited seating and parking is rough along the street so went home, made some margs and had a wonderful fiesta in the house. Will def return. read more

I ordered two al pastor and two carne asada tacos and a bottle of coke. During the order, I just mentioned that I want everything on it. I typically like the trucks where I can dress up the tacos on my own but I think because of the pandemic not a lot of places are doing that anymore. I'm not sure if this place does that during normal times. When I got my plate of tacos, I thought the presentation was beautiful. It looks pretty much like how I would load it up if I were doing it on my own. Plenty of limes which is big for me, and they also included some radishes. The tacos themselves were delicious. Nice crisp on the meat and flavorful. What you would expect/ hope for in a taco truck. The tortillas were solid taste pretty much like the standard tortillas you get at most places else. Some of the best Al Pastor tacos in LA with killer sauce and the nicest employees. As a couple people have referenced, Leo's Tacos is across the street from a larger taco stand. And to be honest, while the fresh Al Pastor across the street looks appealing, I'll still take Leo's any day. Not going to lie I came here because I thought they had pineapples in their al pastor tacos. I drove ~15 minutes to get here and I was quite disappointed when they said they didn't. So if you're like me and coming here because you think they have pineapples... they don't. I got some al pastor tacos anyways and they were decent. I've had a fair share of al pastor tacos from taco trucks and these were average in my opinion. I do appreciate, however, that they provided a generous portion of meat and the onions/cilantro were already on the tacos. Additionally, the tacos were laid out on a plate and covered in foil so they wouldn't get smushed. Overall I would say this is a good/decent taco truck but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it again. read more
