Monster Tacos crushed it. The wet burrito was massive and loaded with flavor, with the perfect amount of sauce and cheese without being a mess. The tostada was super crisp and stacked just right, and the al pastor tacos were straight up fire. Tender, juicy, with that perfect little char. Everything came out fast and hot. Easily one of my new favorite spots.

Monster Tacos? More like Tiny Tacos. These things are smaller than my hand. Total ripoff --overpriced, underwhelming, and not even filling. Don't waste your appetite. And! they only gave us one red sauce :/

This taco truck is the worst. Never ordering again because it was highly disappointing food. I tried their fried hard shell tacos (tacos dorados) and I feel like they're packaged not freshly fried tortillas. To top it off they came stuffed with refried beans and maybe two pieces of chopped chicken such a scam. The fish and shrimp tacos were also skimped on with protein as they put a whole lot of lettuce, tomato, onion and cilantro to fool you into thinking it's a big taco. Don't even get me started with the rice. The rice is overwatered and loaded with tomato sauce so much that it's not fried but instead mushy tomato rice. Absolutely the worst. I don't recommend this taco spot when in the eagle rock area, just go to Angel Tijuana Tacos!!!

We were looking for tacos in the eagle rock area and came across Monster Tacos! The reviews were hit and miss and not super recent so it was difficult to make a decision to try this place. I started off with two carne asada tacos, a hard shell asada taco and cheese quesadilla. The carne asada wasn't super flavorful, but i squeezed fresh lime juice and that seemed to help. They were NOT stingy with the meat either!!! I ate one taco with red sauce and the other with green sauce. The sauces were good and had a lot of flavor. The hard shell taco was so yummy! The shell was fresh. It had beans, carne asada, lettuce, sour cream, and crumble cheese. My daughter had the quesadilla and she said it was yummy. I enjoyed my tacos so much i actually ordered two asada and another hard shell. I didn't catch the name of the lady who helped me but she was very nice and patient. I will definitely be back some time for that hard shell taco!!!

Al Pastor Burrito is one of the best very well cooked and best burritos in the glassell park neighborhood out of all f the other food trucks that are out here and they have affordable prices yay you can not go wrong with this food truck plus they're licensed with the city's health department grade A and food handlers license /permit for the county of Los Angeles and I also work for them as a private security officer I give this food truck a complete 100% satisfaction and quality of food o

Would not recommend at all! My coworker and I ordered through DoorDash like an hour ago. I don't care if the food is cold it was the avocado for me, they gave me 4 tiny little pieces of avocado when I paid for Extra BTW. And also the avocado they put in it was old, black, expired whatever you want to call it. It was the avocado that had to be thrown away but they decided to put it in my food. Refund me if you are out of avocados or something. As a matter of fact I have worked in a restaurant before and the owner should never allowed this food to be served. On top of that it's over priced and doesn't taste good! Will not come back.

i always get the al pastor tacos, but i've tried pretty much everything on the menu. the nachos are good, the tacos are better; they're pretty greasy but that just depends on if you're into that or not. i used to order for delivery through doordash but lately i've been driving there for pickup. it's decently priced food, the service is pretty quick, and there's always parking since they're directly outside of a shopping area parking lot. i haven't had a bad order yet, so i'm not sure why some of the reviews are so low.

3.5 rounded up. I was craaaaaaaaving nachos but didn't want to deal with parking for king taco so decided to doordash from Monster Tacos. I ordered nachos with extra meat, which I def recommend to have a good meat-chip ratio. The cheese was cheese, nothing amazing but nothing terrible. They were actually really generous with it. Reading other reviews I thought the cheese would come on the side but mine didn't but the chips weren't soggy or anything so i had no problem with it. I didn't like that they skimped on the onion and cilantro though. All in all pretty good.

Great flavor! Their red sauce is hot and great! Cool high curb to sit while you wait for food. Prices were good. Friendly people! I'll definitely return!

The carne asada Meat tastes weird and old. It's chopped into little small pieces of meat that was refried again.

Upon walking up to their food truck, there was a family who brought their own chairs to camp out and enjoy their tacos fresh. I also noticed how they have a good selection of salsas, onion, cilantro, and accompaniments for the tacos for self serve. I really like the straight forward pricing. Tacos are only $2! You pick the protein. The cashier was friendly and efficient. My boyfriend had the Cabaza and Suadero Tacos and I went with an Al Pastor Taco. We got this additional foil pouch of tasty grilled onions, which were a nice surprise. Yum! They were pretty good for $2s. Not saying they're the best but they were convenient and good value. I would consider coming back if they were nearby and I need a quick snack. I'll have to try more of their proteins next time.

They were a solid 4.8/5, my favorite was the fish taco. I think they use a chipotle sauce it was delicious. I also really really enjoyed the carne asada. They have some seating in the location I was at, as well as a small gift shop that is open Wednesday - Sunday so you can browse while you wait for your food. It took less than 10minutes for my tacos to be prepared but there was no line when I was there. The service was great, two sweet guys in the truck, and an electronic queue to place your order. The tacos are reasonable priced for LA... I'm from San Diego and tacos are pretty cheap there as well as on Mexico. I recommend trying it for yourself.

Glad we tried again the second day. I had an excellent shrimp, fish, and carne asada taco, and the fries I stole from my husband were also very tasty. The shrimp may be my favorite with carne asada a close second. Also, I normally steer clear of chipotle aioli because it usually just tastes of mayo, but the sauce here is very balanced and chipotle forward. Nice picnic tables here or even better take it to the parklet right outside the lot.

This place only has 22 reviews? We're about to change that…read more I'd seen this place on my Insta and had followed it but hadn't tried it till yesterday when I discovered my go to hibachi delivery place no longer delivered to me. It was only a matter of time because this place was helluva far from where I live. So, my quest for a new hibachi place to deliver to me commenced and this place popped up. That jostled my memory that I had wanted to try it and the rest is history. My go to is always a filet mignon (medium well) combo with shrimp and fried rice. I'm going to be honest, the filet was tender and wonderful but it wasn't medium well. I didn't expect it to be though because other than ordering at a sit down place, this request hasn't ever been fulfilled. For me, this wasn't an issue as the meat wasn't overcooked and everything tasted perfect. The bonus here is that the plate comes with fried rice and you don't have to pay more for that option. Your plate also comes with hibachi style veggies (carrots, broccoli, zucchini and onions) and not frozen "steamed" veggies like some other places. You get six shrimp and a decent amount of beef in my opinion. No matter how much fried rice you give me, I will always say it can come with more because I absolutely carbs. Now for the sauces - listen up, because for me, the sauces are integral to the hibachi experience. You get 4 sauces per order and they will sell you additional ones but that's not an option on a delivery platform (so you'll have to call and work that out with the restaurant). Your options are yum yum (pink sauce), diablo (spicy pink sauce), ginger and garlic butter. The ginger was a tad too salty for me but the rest of the sauces passed the vibe test. Don't be scared off by the name "diablo" - it has a slight kick but you won't be breathing . Shout out to Juan who hooked up this first time girlie with extra sauces so she could try them all and indulge in saucing up her meal. Please note the sauce containers are pretty small. Ya'll think you can start sizing up your sauces? I had a promo code so I needed to order a certain minimum. I refused to pay for soda when I have tons here so I went with a side of veggies. The platform said steamed veggies so when I called Juan, I made sure they were hibachi style veggies and not steamed (they were hibachi style). One recommendation would be to offer a side of fried rice. I'd much have preferred that over the veggies. I hope this is an option next time I order. My food arrived warm and I devoured it. I will no longer shed tears over the loss of my other hibachi spot as I've found one I'm just as happy with. As provided above, not only was my food a yummy in my tummy experience, the customer service offered by Juan was also superb. Support this joint and don't you guys leave the Eagle Rock area or I'll once again lose my hibachi go to.
