First time visiting and it was a great experience. The location is beautiful with a really nice outdoor area, the restrooms were clean which I always appreciate a big part of my score is always restroom maintenance. The food was amazing. The lomo had great flavor, the ceviche was incredible and the fried rice was also really good. Everything we tried was delicious. Service was great as well. Parking can be a little tricky since it's on a busy street, but it's definitely not something that should stop you from visiting. Came to Glendale today to have my car serviced at Pacific BMW on Brand Avenue. Since I needed to eat lunch and occupy myself for a bit I decided to try the lovely Peruvian restaurant next door. Not only is the place super cute and clean but I found the food to be incredibly tasty. All three servers (Aida, Carmen and Gisela) were very attentive and a big great help with me maneuvering the extensive menu. I have not really been to many Peruvian restaurants, but if this is any way typical, then I'm certainly a fan . The question is not WILL I be back...but rather WHEN I will return. The answer is VERY SOON whether or not my car needs additional service. . One more thing to note. As I texted a few friends, talked with a few employees at Pacific BMW and casually texted and talked with friends while I ate...it struck me many people I know have been coming here regularly and ALL had similarly good things to say about this Peruvian gem in the muddle of Glendale. read more

A great mix of squid, shrimp and fish! Also tried one of their fried fish dishes, topped with seafood as well. Very similar in taste but yummy nonetheless. If you're into spice try the green sauce on the table with bread. Can't get enough of it. Service is friendly and quick. We ordered to go since we were in Glendale and we have always been going to this place. It was our number one spot for Peruvian but after today don't think I'll be going back. The quality of the food is not how it was before and then I found something in my fried calamari and I'm just super grossed out now. Came here from a word to mouth recommendation and it did not disappoint! When you walk in you can immediately tell it's a mom and pops restaurant with class. They asked us for how many ppl and to choose which booth or table we would like to sit at. There was already a lot of ppl in there so that was a god sign. We received a paper pamphlet meñu which had sooooo many dishes to chose from I really couldn't make up my mind so I decided to choose the lomo saltado and a side of papa huancaina to share.they brought out the papa first and omg the garlic cheese sauce was so delicious and tasty! Really enjoyed spending time with my cousins here the other day, they've been wanting to go here and I got to try it this same day on a nice rainy day. Came here with a group on the recommendation of a Peruvian colleague to celebrate several birthdays including hers. The food was delicious! Came here close to 5pm and was about 3 min wait. They asked if the small table was ok. But we requested a slightly larger table so we didn't have to worry about our food not fitting. I do appreciate them asking if the size of the table was ok. We ordered the ceviche de mariscos, jalea de mariscos, inca cola and Peruvian beer. The only had one Peruvian beer in stock in that beer is pretty light but it went well with the food. The Inca cola was very flavorful and it almost reminded me of a pineapple flavor. The ceviche de mariscos was very flavorful and I wonder if it has some sort of meat flavoring because vegan and vegetarian flavorings usually don't have that umami. The jalea de mariscos was a tower of food that included fish, shrimp, and lots of squid. Lomo saltado initially look like it had more fries because of how they plated it. But as I dug more into the food the meat was also in the middle and the bottom of the plate, so they mixed it well. Overall the food here is really good, you can tell because right before we paid for our meal there was a line forming out the door. read more

They take reservations too so for large groups this place is a good choice. Parking is a little difficult but it can be found down residential streets. The food was all wonderful. Now, about the service -- I came in to pick up an order, and not a single person acknowledged me. I get that they're busy, but even a simple "Hey, welcome in -- we'll be right with you!" would've made a difference. That small bit of hospitality goes a long way. Mamita has some fantastic Peruvian food and I highly recommend it. I've been a few times before, and I always go for the Tallarin Saltado, which is spaghetti with beef strips . The beef is juicy and tender, and go so amazingly well with the green sauce. We also ordered Platanos, aquadito de pollo, & Saltado de pollo. Definitely a complete meal with large portions. The restaurant has a nice modern decor. There is also dimmed lighting, which adds to the ambiance. The service speed was pretty quick and our waitress was friendly and attentive. The only negative is parking. It's on brand blvd with all the dealerships . You have to get real lucky to find a spot out front. We looooove this place! This is our go-to Peruvian spot and we've been coming here for years! Our favorites are their Pescado a lo Macho and Chupe de Mariscos! We tried their calamares for the first time and it's been added to the favorites too. Their portions are huge and everything is delicious! The restaurant is a small, cozy space. The staff treats you like family. They're very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a must visit! The place is nestled between the Mercedes and BMW dealership in Glendale. You can always find parking outside the dealerships. The place is pretty small and def has a family run vibe to it. Nothing fancy about this place but you will get solid food every time. I have been here about 20 times and the food is always super consistent. The service is quick and efficient. The fried plantains as an appetizer were tasty, but I found myself wishing they were a bit sweeter and less dry, but I know there are different styles and ways of serving plantains. I've been coming here for a while as I've grown up in Glendale my whole life. Today, it was so lovely to be seated outside in the back because of our big party. We were there celebrating my father-in-law's birthday and retirement, so of course it had to be somewhat big. But I really want to thank David for his hospitality. Mamita's always hits the spot! Our latest visit was on Valentine's Day and we were able to snag a table inside. They have inside and outside dining. There's a patio out back with outdoor heaters.
