Lola's Peruvian in Glendale was an excellent experience from start to finish. I ordered the Conchas a la Parmesana and the Lomo Saltado, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The Conchas a la Parmesana were cooked perfectly tender scallops topped with a rich, creamy parmesan sauce that was full of flavor without being overwhelming. The Lomo Saltado was just as satisfying: juicy, well-seasoned beef stir-fried with onions and tomatoes, served with crispy fries and fluffy rice. Classic, authentic, and done right. Service really stood out as well. The staff was attentive, friendly, and fast, making sure everything came out promptly and that we were well taken care of. This is for Doordash so I can only describe the food which was outstanding! My favorite Peruvian dish is Aji de Gallina and Lola's made is to perfection! So much I could not finish, though I tried! Such a creamy sauce, so much chicken and the perfect spice. OMG. When I am here I am ordering this every time! I topped this off with the crocante de lucuma which I had never tasted before. I ordered the quinoa cau-cau and my friend and I shared the platanos fritos with my friend. The fried plantains were fairly standard, but the cau-cau was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I have never had cau-cau before but I was absolutely delighted by my meal. The flavor was amazing (the balance of spices was on point) and the meal was incredibly light. Lola's has been on my bookmark for a while now, so I was really excited to try it with my friend today. Lola's is in the heart of Brand Ave. And as soon as you go inside, it's definitely a vibe. We started with bread and the ceviche mixto. It was light and refreshing. I ordered the Lomo Saltado and she ordered Saltado de Camarones. Both were delicious, but I do wish they had a little bit more protein and gave more "green" sauce. The service was good. Just a little tip for you, there are plenty of parking in the back at a private lot or you can look for parking in front of the restaurant. Just a warning... If you don't have your front license plate, you will be ticketed... Everyone in front of the restaurant up and down the street, got a fix it ticket for the front license plate. What a nice surprise! Lola's is really fantastic! I had the Yuca frita a la huanciana. It was somewhat crunchy on the outside and topped with a delicious huanciana yellow chili sauce. So good! I'm vegetarian so I had the chupe campestra soup. It's an amazing vegetable chowder. The ambiance is very comforting, casual and lovely. Firstly, I wish this place had more business because the food quality that they had a the indoor vibes of this restaurant deserves more attention. I haven't had much Peruvian food before, and I'm so glad that I was able to try this restaurant. I ordered the beef saltado and it was cooked to perfection, I just wish for my own personal preference was more sauce to pair with the rice. This is a cute little find in Glendale! My friend and I stopped in last night for dinner and they had a trio playing live music. We both started with pisco sours and they were great! Really well done! They serve you a basket of bread sticks to begin. The breadsticks are warm and fluffy! They come with 2 different sauces, and one was a typical salsa, one was more creamy. I really liked the creamy option. My friend ordered the Cau Cau with pollo and she said she really liked it. I ordered the picante de mariscos. It was good! It had a variety of seafood. I will say, there wasn't much spice at all and I felt it could use a tad more flavor. But it was still a solid dish. Our waitress was attentive and the food was served relatively quickly. Fortunately, another group decided to open the door and when I realized they were open, we followed suit. The staff was welcoming and helpful. After briefly looking over the menu, we ordered the following: Yuca Frita a la Huancaina $18 Seafood saltado $29 Lomo saltado, beef $29 We took our meals to the hotel and immediately dug in. I was pleased to see that the portions were generous, especially since they're on the pricey side IMO. My seafood saltado came with a good amount of seafood and the sauce was flavorful. First ever Peruvian restaurant- loved it. Ceviche de pescado was amazing, fresh and lemony. Chose medium spiciness level which was not spicy at all. Also ordered Marachuya which is a purple corn sweet drink, really resembled sangria and was good as well. The ambiance was great, around 6pm on a Friday a live band started playing beautiful music. This place has been in Glendale for a long time. I was not particularly enthused by the corn and the scallop appetizer. They were okay. The lucuma desserts were better. Unique flavor, difficult to find elsewhere in the city, not in-your-face sweet. Might be an acquired taste for some, but I think it's a good selling point for the restaurant. What did impress me was the ribeye steak with onions. Geez Louise, this is a tender, juicy steak that rivals Damon's across the street and Bourbon Steak down the road. We had a reservation at 6:30. We walked in and noticed 4 or 5 tables seated... but noone had food or drinks. We waited at the front and the 2 women working by the bar saw us, but didn't acknowledge us at all. We waited a few minutes then left. We're patient people, but we need to be acknowledged as human beings. This is Glendale and its expensive to live here; you don't treat people like that. Got here around 6pm on a Tuesday and there are plenty of seats! Ordered: 1. Yuca Frita A La Huancaina: this is the first time I had yuca this way and I really like it! The huancaina sauce that goes along with it is mild but tasty! 2. Calamar Frito: the calamaris are super crispy but would like it more if the sauce that comes with it has a little bit of an extra flavor. 3. Tallarin Saltado: just like regular saltado but rice and French fries are replaced with pasta instead. The beef is so tender and marinated really well! Really like the sauce since it's so flavorful but it is slightly on the saltier side. They also provided bread which were right out of the oven with butter and two other sauces. read more

I was on a diet and my friends decided to get Peruvian food at Lola's. I decided to get the seafood lomo saltado, which wasn't the best decision due to all the carbs, but I justified it by saying I would only eat half the rice. Thirty minutes later, I look down at my plate and see nothing but the residual sauce from the lomo saltado. Sure, I was a little disappointed in myself for eating everything on my plate, but at the same time, this dish made me so happy and I would gladly eat another plate of this seafood, rice, and fries concoction. We went right before lunch so it was almost empty, but the service was good. (2) Tallarin Saltado de Carne - I was initially skeptical of a linguini pasta sauteed with beef strips & soy sauce, but it was completely awesome, with honestly enough pasta for 1.5-2 people! (3) Cau Cau - hard to describe but a chicken stew with peas, potatoes, & turmeric with a curry sensibility - very delicious & ideal with rice. We came here as a group of 18 people after a weekend of AYSO Expo training and classes. We were all famished. Our tables were ready when we arrived. The service was great, fast and accurate. The food was VERY delicious and very generous portions. A few people had never been to a Peruvian restaurant so I had to help them choose. Nobody was disappointed. We will be back next year for sure. This place is cute and also clean. I would like to disclose the Peruvian food is a gem and it is known for its exceptionally fresh and bold ingredients. Unfortunately, the flavors of the food here did not taste fresh. From the appetizers to main plates the season was off and watered down. There was also 1 waitress for the entire restaurant. I know times are tough but that never sits well with me when one person is in charge of an entire restaurant. It really makes the experience of eating stressful since the stress and anxiety of workers seeps to the customers. We were seated right away and our servers were friendly. papa a La huancaina: 3.5 STARS We started with the papa a La huancaina. Basically potatoes covered in a devils egged style sauce. They were good but after a few pieces it became a bit much so we didn't finish them. CEVICHE MIXTO: 4 STARS Then we shared a ceviche mixto. Came with scallops, shrimp, octopus and tilapia. This was very good. Especially with the red onion, corn and nuts. The lime juice and leche de Tigre sauce was nice and citrusy really added extra freshness to the plate. LOMO SALTADO: 5 STARS The lomo saltado was the best dish of the night. The lomo was tender and full of flavor. Lightly salted. It paired well with the rice and veggies. Drinks: 3 STARS i had a couple pisco sours and I have to say they were just okay. They kinda tasted like they were pre made and put in a slushie machine SERVICE: 4.5 STARS it started off really great. But then the restaurant got really busy and the service kinda fell but it's totally understandable Location: 5 STARS Plenty of street parking. You do have to pay but it's only like $2 for 2 hours.
