A new spot for me, a local's favorite, and an LA's best with many certificates to show for it... I'm talking about Rosty -- Peruvian rotisserie and restaurant. As a first experience, I had the rotisserie with yucca and beans -- what a delectable experience! The space itself is inviting and paired with friendly service, Rosty's welcomes you to dine there or for take out.

Absolutely delicious Peruvian food. I got the lomo saltado and it was so flavorful and well cooked. I wish they put a Little more meat but it was a good serving still. The beef was cooked to medium, so tender and well seasoned. I actually love lomo saltado. I've been trying to find a place like I've had in Peru. I think i found the place. My friend had a potato and shrimp dish tasted a little like ceviche. The service was really good and friendly. Food came out relatively fast.

I quite literally followed my nose to this place while on the hunt for something to eat. I haven't had the pleasure of eating a lot of Peruvian cuisine, but if it's anything like this place, I have a whole lot more to look forward to in the future. My chicken sandwich came on a fluffy bread and was filled with fresh purple onion and lettuce which gave it a very nice flavor profile. They gave us table bread with an array of sauces for our food and they were all magnificent, while I'm an eternal student in cuisine, from my best guess since I didn't have a chance to ask, was a deeply rich and flavorful salsa verde, a very light djion mustard, and a buttermilk ranch of somesort. All three were very welcome additions to our food. I also had some passionfruit juice, which was as sweet as it was refreshing. The music also fit the place pretty well, as my happy dance was in attendence too. Gracias!

Very good peruvian food!! place is cute and in a perfect spot in Highland Park. Presentation, quality of food, flavor, time order was taken along with food taken out all 10/10. Sauces were also very delightful to pair with my plate.

Randomly found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try, and surprisingly it exceeded our expectations. The food was really good flavorful and the service was great.

I came a couple of months ago, and I forgot to write my review. I discovered this cozy spot passing by one day. I love Peruvian food, and Rosty's most certainly doesn't disappoint! For real tho! When you walk in, it's a great vibe! The music just makes you just want to dance! It's clean and open, with such a friendly and informative staff! All their dishes are and I can't get enough of their bread and butter..... but their ceviche!! I havent tasted ceviche as delicious as theirs! I love the amount of citrus they use! The flavors of sweetness from the sweet potato and red onions blend perfectly well in this dish! The different types of corn, that you add choclo (similar to hominy) and cancha (similar to corn nuts). Omg! the textures and flavors make this ceviche a different and unique seafood dish! My favorite dish has always been tallarin saltado, which was cooked to perfection! My date had the lomo saltado, which he truly enjoyed! I had a chicha morada drink, which is one of my favorites, a purple corn drink which is a nice refreshing treat! Rosty has always been my favorite Peruvian restaurant. The portions are large and full of flavors! It's a must go 10 out of 10!

Aight. So I'm super late on this review. Went some time ago but this place still stays on my mind. Mainly, because of that fire ass Peruvian ceviche. My god it's so damn bomb! We go to this other spot that has peruvan ceviche but Rosty is less expensive and serves a larger portion. It takes the prize. I need to go back cus Ive been craving their large natural waters. That chicha is omg chefs kiss. I had the chicken and fries too. The portion is large and plentiful but it wasn't the best chicken I've had. Lacked spice. But yo! That ceviche man. I'm telling you. It's worth the visit. The staff and servers are so pleasant too. Can't go wrong with Rostys

My best friend in grammar school was Peruvian. Her mom was a good cook, and I would take every opportunity to stay for dinner. I've been wanting to try Rosty since it opened and finally had the opportunity. The restaurant serves authentic Peruvian cuisine with a focus on seafood & soups. The dishes are a bit pricey and vegan & vegetarian options are also available. My friend and I received a warm greeting from Cesar. He has such a great personality. We found a table, and he brought us some menus. The ambiance is casual and the exposed brick walls & décor give it a warm, cozy feel. We were undecided about what to order so we asked Cesar for recommendations. He said Ceviche was their specialty, so we requested the Ceviche Mixto (spicy) to share. While we waited for our food, complimentary fresh bread arrived with 3 dipping sauces, which are made in house. They are bombtastic! The Aji Verde was spicy, Aji Amarillo was mildly spicy, and the Aji Blanco was mild. The Ceviche Mixto was a mixture of white fish, shrimp, squid, & mussels served with andinian corn (choclo), corn kernels (cancha), & sweet potato. Cesar suggested putting the corn on top and mixing it in. The cancha added some crunchiness to the dish. The fish was fresh and perfectly marinated. The marinade was tasty - a nice balance of citrus & spicy. The serving size was generous. We couldn't finish it all even though it was the best ceviche ever! Thank you Cesar for the recommendation and your excellent customer service! *No Alcohol *Metered street parking or lot around the corner.

We came in on a Friday night without a reservation (which are recommended) but we were lucky enough to get a table. This is some of the best Peruvian food I have had in the city. The lomo saltado had tender and flavorful beef and the fries tasted more like freshly cut potatos, not frozen. La copa nostra is a must order for seafood lovers. There was a variety of raw fish and squid topped with crispy shrimp and more squid. They have a clean bathroom, cozy ambiance, and helpful staff. We parked at the groccery store across the street and had no issues but do so at your own risk. Will be back and I def recommend this place!

Parking- I didn't see any parking lot for them although around the corner was plenty of parking. Street parking too! Food- great, high quality foods and lots of flavor. My favorite was the tallarines verdes. Lomo saltado was good too. Potato balls not so much,m. Service- great service and lots of great recommendations will definitely come again. We ordered and ate our food there, but also took some to go. Food was packaged well and meat was cooked to the right temperature.

Probably the best Peruvian food I've had in LA. We started with La Cops Nostra. An interesting dish with fried seafood and Cerviche. It was tasty. We both had Saltado. I had chicken and my wife had the seafood. We enjoyed it. Was very flavorful, but we both thought it was a little oversalted for our taste. The servers were helpful. Sitting in the comfortable dining room I appreciated the vibe. A diverse mix of people and great Latin music. Worth bookmarking for next time.

I discovered the signature Chicken dish years ago. Normally we go to El Dorado in Pasadena I believe it is. I had been wanting to try this place. To sum it up..Amazing. Besides the a La Brasa , tried the chicken fried rice, plantains, and soup. And a boiled potato dish with the huancaina sauce...everything was great. Sometimes we go to a place for the first time, and halfway thru the meal we say "we will have to come here again!"...that's the kind of place it was.

    La Copa Nostra

Don't got to Highly Likely, don't go to Alfred's. Support this amazing small business with the BEST Peruvian food I have ever had in LA. Get the La Copa Nostra to start and share the chicken with the best sauces ! Good, friendly service. Cozy for date night.

There are vegetarian options, which I'd say almost taste better than dishes containing beef. For better details about their dishes, it might be best to call.

    How's street parking?

Not the best. There is a shopping center just the next block over, that is where we park ... oops

    Do they do local delivery?

Check on Uber eats or call them directly ???

Wanted to place an order but phone # is not working, are they open and how long does it take? Limited timed lunch for me

They do take orders by phone but since nothing is pre-maid it does take a little longer but all worth it

When I finally logged into Yelp to do just that, I was genuinely saddened to see that this place has since closed. It honestly broke my heart, because this was one of those dining experiences that truly stayed with me. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was stunning--beautiful rooftop vibes, warm energy, and a space that immediately made you feel like you were about to experience something special. The food itself was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully executed, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. You could taste the care, creativity, and intention behind each bite. The Peruvian inspiration throughout the menu was both authentic and elevated, striking the perfect balance between comfort and sophistication. One of the most memorable parts of the experience was the chef herself coming out to introduce herself. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and passionate. You could tell she truly poured her heart into her food. She took the time to explain the inspiration behind the dishes, and it made the entire meal feel even more meaningful. That level of personal touch is rare and so appreciated. Looking back at these photos now just reminds me how special this place was. Delicious food, a talented and thoughtful chef, and an overall experience that left a lasting impression. It's such a shame this spot is no longer around, because it truly deserved all the love and recognition. If the chef ever opens another concept, I will absolutely be first in line. Thank you for such a memorable meal--this is one I won't forget.

The Yuca Fries are a must! Fried and topped with chorizo. All of the sides sounded really good, but these are the best! The thigh meat chicken skewers are perfectly sauced, and can be ordered as an appetizer to be shared by two. All of the main dishes are meant to be shared. The prices are up there for the portions, but it's all a real treat for the taste buds, and the view is great! Highly recommend.

They do not mess around with their portion sizes! I got the lomo saltado and that could literally be split between three people. This place deserves a great review. We got here in a Sunday night at 7pm and they close at 8pm. Quite a few people ahead of us and all the tables were full and it seemed like many of them were still getting their food. Plan ahead to go well before they close. Of course we went with our favorite: Steak Lomo Saltado. Always sooooo good. Some reviewers did say that the steak pieces are tough and dry and I can see that. But we have never had that problem. The french fries, onions and steak all pan fried together was soft and juicy. With the side of rice it's a large plate of food. Excellent! We decided to try the Beef Fried Rice this time. Kind of an Asian style pan fried rice with the same steak pieces. Some green onion and eggs and the fact that it was moist and mixed with a juice made it surprisingly good. So surprised that this dish was so good. The reason why I said go well before they close is because when we and another three person group for seated, the waitress said that they don't have anymore steak. So anything but steak and shrimp dishes are available. All of us were so disappointed. The waitress said she will check one time and asked what we were going to order. Between the two tables, we're going to order two Steak Lomo Saltado and one beef fried rice. She came back and said they have just enough steak for those three dishes. Tragedy averted, dinner turned out great but if you are going and intend to or a steak dish, make sure you go well before they close. But overall this is still our favorite Peruvian spot.
