Mediocre and expensive BUT customer service was truly disgusting. The lady at the counter had no smile and no customer service skills. No response or reply when we asked her questions and she was sooooo upset when we wanted more than 2 sauces. Also disgustingly hot in there. Burrito was so plain and the tortilla was grainy. Definitely won't be coming back because of her and the mediocre food. Also looks like a bunch of people have complained. Blown away at the first bite! Incredibly delicious! Definitely a hole in the wall you don't want to miss out on. I think they have the best authentic burritos in town- the meat was juicy and flavorful. Very generous amount of meat too which I appreciated because it was clearly the start of the show. Cheese and beans paired well, everything was well balanced. Their salsas are great and not too spicy. My favorite is the red salsa. Good hole in the wall taco spot. Being a Bay Area native, I had to come here and compare the asada burrito to what we are blessed with up North. Although this is very different than what I am used to, I must admit that the asada burrito is great. The meat is juicy and flavorful. The tortillas are real good, maybe handmade? I am sad to give 1 star to this place, because it used to be one of my go-to spots, and won't be going anymore. I don't really post on yelp unless I have had very negative experiences multiple times and/or it's unsafe - Bad service example: Ordered horchata with food. Food was ready to grab, there was no horchata. Asked where's horchata. They said no more horchata. I said... Okay, then how long will it take to make new batch? They said they'll give Jamaica instead cuz that's available. I said I don't want Jamaica, I ordered and paid for horchata. Why didn't you tell me there was horchata before? They do a BIG SIGH and AUDACITY TO ROLL THEIR EYES then comply to make new batch... THAT TOOK 30 MINUTES. Unsafe examples: I've found plastic in the food. I've probably unknowingly consumed them thinking they were onions (see picture). Also, the meat tastes funky/old at times. I've been coming to El Sauz Tacos in Glendale for years, and it's hands down one of my favorite taco spots. The food is consistently great--fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want from authentic Mexican street-style tacos. My go-to order is the asada burrito and a few tacos on the side. They never disappoint. The staff here are always friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better every time I visit. They also have a good amount seating that's comfortable. That said, there are a couple of things that can be a little inconvenient. First, El Sauz isn't available on any delivery apps, so if you want their food, you have to make the trip to Glendale. It's worth it, but sometimes I wish I could just order in. Second, they only accept cash, so be sure to bring some with you because they don't take card payments. Despite those small drawbacks, I keep coming back because the food and service are that good. If you're in the area, definitely give them a try! read more

This place is CASH only, but do have an ATM on site. The young man, I believe the owner is super friendly and welcoming. I appreciate how kind he was and he made sure everyone was acknowledged. We tried the al pastor and the asada. Both were good but my al pastor didn't have much sweetness from the pineapple as we'd like. This cash-only spot is a gem both in price and quality. I got a taco of almost every kind of meat, and each meat was cooked perfectly and uniquely. The chicken had its own flavor and seasoning, as did the carne asada, the cabeza, etc. I also love quesadillas, but I've never been so blown away by a flavorful, meat-filled quesadilla before! For only $10, I definitely got my fill, and it didn't feel like globs of cheese with some lackluster meat pieces strewn about. It was a good balance between onions, cheese, al pastor,... El Suaz Tacos really knows what they're doing. As I was waiting for my food, I overheard some regulars talking about the restaurant, saying they've been going here since childhood, they trust this location, they love the service, and the people know how to cook. This place is their taco home, and I can see why! They have their own parking lot, so parking was easy, and they have 7 tables that seat 4 people each, but most people were just sitting down waiting for their food.
