Sometimes those late night munchies just hit. On weekdays, their kitchen is open until around 1am,…read morewhich is pretty good since most places close earlier on weekdays vs. weekends. We shared their spicy rice cakes, fried dumplings, and popcorn chicken. Their popcorn chicken definitely has a kick to it, so heads up if you are sensitive to spice! Spicy rice cakes were good--satisfied my craving for them and the sauce was nice and thick and coated the rice cakes well. Fried dumplings were okay, but I would skip them next time. They get busy on the weekends! If you have a large group, call ahead to reserve tables and they can definitely accommodate (I've been here with a group of 26 people before LOL). They have call bells on the table so you can always get someone's attention if you need anything.

I wish I took a photo (I think someone else posted one), but the food options were slim. We got the army stew, stir fried pork, and french fries as well as 6 bottles of soju. The army stew had no flavor and the stir fried pork was sticky, burnt, and tasteless all at the same time. The french fries were also stale and had no salt. I love the decor of Pocha Pocha, and they honestly did mostly everything right. Next time I come, it will be for the alcohol and not the food.

Shrimp tasted fresh and the sauce was good. Spice was mild. There was a complimentary cream soup provided.

We've been here several times, including around May 2026, and had pretty solid experiences. Today,…read morehowever, was a complete disaster. Something has clearly changed -- new management, chef, or recipes -- because the food was nothing like what we remembered. We're Korean, so we're pretty familiar with Korean flavors, and the pork galbi was a huge disappointment: smaller portions (as compared to the past visits) overly salty and sweet, lacking depth, tough, overcooked, and barely lukewarm. The service was even worse. We sat in the back room, where it was nearly impossible to get anyone's attention. We had kids who needed rice and steamed eggs. The rice finally arrived lukewarm, the meat was cold, and the steamed eggs took over an hour to arrive. By then, we had basically lost our appetite. The hostess was aware of the situation and promised us two steamed eggs, but when we mentioned it to our waiter, his tone was dismissive and belittling, as if we were asking for something unreasonable. We were literally just trying to get the food we ordered for our kids. Our Korean grandmother, who had liked this place before, disliked everything and said the food tasted heavily of MSG and salt and was very different from previous visits. Meanwhile, the table behind us had dirty dishes sitting there from a previous party the entire time we were there. The table next to us was also complaining about the service. Even if you asked for something, there's a good chance they will ignore your request or forget about it. We came back because we had enjoyed this place before. Unfortunately, this visit was so bad that we won't be coming back. Instead of being treated like a paying customer, it felt like they were doing us a favor. No thanks, I'll take my $ elsewhere where I get what I want , what I pay for, and what I deserve.

We ordered their: scallion and seafood pancake, ddeokbokki, japaguri ramen with brisket, Korean fried chicken, and corn cheese. Everything was pretty solid. Restaurant lighting is very very dim with a more sit back vibe, had a chalk wallpaper with a lot of fun quotes and signs. Medium size restaurant with not too many but a good amount of seatings. There was only one server the whole time we were there, but not too many customers at the time as well, so it was fine. Server was nice. Just seemed a bit busy since it was just her. I am a sucker for pictures in the menu so I won't have to bombard the waitress with multiple questions. Their menu happen to have no pictures as well as not a complete list of the ingredients listed in the menu just very very vague so the waitress is very nice for explaining everything to us. And you also was very limited however with the food items that we chose, everything was good we had a few cocktail high balls- lychee, calamansi, and hanjan soju mojito. All were decent. I just preferred mine to be less sweet. As for food, we got the spicy rice cake and fried snack combo, fire chicken with cheese, and creamy shrimp udon. Love that the fire chicken with cheese came with small seaweed rice balls, which were very aromatic and definitely helped with the spice. The chicken itself was really good as well-definitely spicy, but will still good and the amount of cheese on it was really nice. Had a nice cheese pull. If you get something spicy, you definitely need something creamy to go along with it so the creamy shrimp udon was really nice too. I feel like they made the sauce really good and the shrimp was really snappy too. Did not seem frozen.udon was cooked nicely, really chewy. Lastly, we wanted to kill ourselves, so we got another spicy dish, which was the spicy rice cake, and fried assortment. Rice cake was really chewy, sauce was really good, fried items were nice and crunchy. Always try to eat those first before they get too soggy. All in all when I walked in, I did not expect much but the food quality and the way it was cooked, the timing of the cooking, considering how everything was nice and chewy. It was really good.

I was under the wrong impression that they, along with many other late night spots, had either shortened their hours or simply closed during the pandemic. Being wrong has never felt so great. This place is one of those IYKYK (#1) establishments in that there is no proper storefront, but is located inside of the Hangyang Supermarket (#2) along Northern Blvd. The in-store entrance has the words "HY Food court Snack Corner" which is confusing for first timers but adds a well deserved hidden gem status that it's proud to flaunt. The interior looks somewhat updated, with less dingy tables to group seating and more decor on top of it. The kitchen is constantly active, with dishes constantly being churned out and what I imagine is an endless list of delivery order requests. There is nothing that stands out about food for me, but it's good enough in a pinch. Their kimchi steamed mandoo dumpling was very excent while the other regular panfried mandoo was a tinge mediocre. Their soondubu, japchae, kimbap, and tteokbokki were very mild and average in comparison to what's out there. This is also the location for 92 Chicken, a KFC joint that prepares the food in the very same kitchen. Service isn't the warmest, but they do speak Korean and Mandarin with a limited amount of English. Parking is in a dedicated lot and there is a 3% fee for all credit card purchases.
