After giving the dispatcher my info, I received a call a few minutes later. My truck was in a parking lot, and after some discussion opted to have it towed home. I've been looking for a locksmith that would be able to program an additional key fob for my 2019 Honda Accord. I was lucky enough to find this place on yelp. I spoke with the owner to make sure this would be a service that would be available to me. I said I would be able to call within the next week to schedule an appointment. A week goes by and I got busy. So I asked my husband to call for me. He spoke with the receptionist and the technician and was told that someone would be out that very same day at 4:30PM (Thursday). He was told that the technician was in town and would be over shortly. 4:30PM comes and goes. It's almost 5:30, my husband calls back and tells the receptionist that it's too late and that he would like to reschedule for Saturday at 11AM. It's Saturday and we don't receive a call. It's well past the time that was agreed upon. My husband calls again and was informed that the service that I need will require a technician and that they were off today, but would reschedule us for Sunday at 11AM. Again, I agreed to the time. The next day, 11AM rolls around and the same thing happens. No phone call and the technician was a no show. I was given a quote and was willing to pay for the service that I was requesting. It's just sad that after speaking with the owner via yelp message and then my husband calling twice, we had three unfortunate experiences with this place. There may have been miscommunication or properly scheduling us with a technician that would have been able to help. Either way, please have a conversation with your staff regarding this incident. I wanted to give this place the benefit of doubt, but this didn't happen once - but three times. Completely wasted our time waiting for someone to show. read more

The repairman gave us a vague quote, buzzer system $250-$550, double bolt lock $150-$275 for the iron gate. We later pressed for the exact but he showed up with the electric strike, bought from a store. It did not fit and it took him a while to cut and sand but it still did not fit well. Because of this we were not able to close the gate entirely. He planned to order the double bolt lock for the next few days and asked us to sand or cut out our iron to make the gate close prior to that and charged us $603! We felt sorry for him but it didn't seem like he is an expert on this. So, we cancelled the next double bolt lock work. read more

He also reeked of strong cologne, which I did not appreciate I was told over the phone by the woman who booked my appointment that the price would be at least $125, but I wasn't expecting it up be more than TWICE that , just to cut a key. read more

NEVER AGAIN!! Garage side door wouldn't open because latch would not retract. Was told the job could be around $220 to open and fix but the tech explained that he would need to see it 1st to give me an exact estimate. Wasn't home but my kids were present. I get a call back and was told it would be $215 to fix and replace the door latch and knob which wasn't so bad from the price he quoted earlier. After an hour, he calls me back and confirms that everything is fixed and the total with parts, labor and tax was $485.. WTF!! He then tries to explain to me that it cost $220 just to open the door which required 3 bolts to be removed and a special technique so that he would not damage the door. The $215 was for the door latch, knob and labor and the extra $50 service fee to drive to my home. After arguing over the phone and he wouldn't leave without getting paid. I said F' it! When I got home to inspect the work he had done. 1) He left the broken parts, door knobs and scraps all over the floor. 2) He replaced my standard door knob with a lever knob that I didn't authorize him to do. 3) There was a gash on the door molding which he supposedly used a $220 special technique to not damage. And a large door crack that extended above and below the replaced latch. (See Pics) 4) Not all of my keys worked on the re-keyed core. Called the tech, ADAM!! to give him a piece of my mind!! Paid $485 for crap service and heartache!! Adam insisted he would return the next day and fix everything and his reason for not cleaning up and doing a terrible job was that the company was shorthanded and he was in a rush because he had another job. WTH!! That is not an excuse, it's poor professionalism. I called their office to complain and speak to a Manager too but they would not let me speak to one and insisted they would give me a call back. Never got the call back, only assurance that Adam would get back to me. The next day before Adam was scheduled to be back, I called and asked him what the guarantee and refund policy was, as I was not satisfied with the job and unauthorized part replacement. He explained that he would have to speak to his Manager, who won't talk to me. When Adam finally called me back, he tried to haggle a refund resolution. His 1st offer, was to refund me $220 and recover the parts he replaced. Serious!! His final offer was to refund me $200 and I get to keep the lever knob that I never wanted. Not wanting to deal with him anymore, I accepted the $200 and called it a lost. The miscommunication, the extra damage he caused to my door and molding, and the price gouging! BEWARE!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCKSMITH!! Should have gotten a full refund for the poor experience and service! Anytime the owner wants to talk, give me a call because this is absolutely not a fake post! No need to apologize as your comments speak for itself. You obviously trust your employees more than the customer. Although I wasn't there, and you weren't there during the service, the end result is what matters. And the result was less than desirable. As I stated before, I already took this service as a loss and I'm not trying to milk anyone. I've left my review and I am more than satisfied with what I've revealed to the viewers. I'm sure Adam worked hard on this project but he also didn't work with quality workmanship or professionalism by leaving the job the way he left it and failing to show when he promised to show. read more

Had one of their technician name Steve to fix my EIS on my car and he told me that he will fix it and if doesn't work he will not charge me. It works for a day then after that it doesn't work anymore and called him few times came around and same thing. I let their office know and they keep saying will get our technician to ring you and of course no calls. I got so frustrated as I was stock without any car to use for a few days. Not only that the car doesn't start and the other key wont also work after he messed around. So with so much frustration I requested a refund but they just ignore me so I ended doubling my cost due to their very poor workmanship. I am sure that I will never use this company again. read more

Awesome work by Daniel. We needed locks in our new home re-keyed preferably same day and we received a super quick and friendly response from Hero in response to our multi-vendor Yelp query. After a quick follow-up with Daniel, we scheduled to meet at our home in a two hour slot. Forty-five minutes before the scheduled slot, Daniel called to let us know he was going to be late following another job - which was fine with us and we were glad for the courtesy call. When he arrived, Daniel was very friendly and professional and we discussed the job, the options, and the price quote. We went with the initial work of three locks to be re-keyed and he also answered some questions we had on another lock. We decided to re-key that lock as well. He worked very quickly and efficiently and we are super happy with the work! We also discussed some options to upgrade to smart locks and would plan to use Hero in the future and recommend to others. read more

I tried to update my review but it won't let me so I'm leaving another one. Back in June of 2022, this company made me a key fob when mine was lost. It cost $285 but since the dealer wanted $400, I was happy to pay this price. In April of 2023, the key fob stopped working. I called repeatedly trying to get a technician to advise me on whether or not I should try to change the battery myself. I finally got a YouTube video and took out the battery and found out it wasn't the battery, of course, because we all know how long key fob batteries last, for years, but it was a defect to do with the button that locks/unlocks. I then contacted the business many times by phone, by Yelp, and by text to the technician Steve who always promised to come out and never did actually come out (at least 5 times). I finally sent a message to Ben, the owner I think, after leaving my first review. Been responded to me and also publicly about a warranty I was never informed of and was not interested in, and never addressed the fact of the unresponsive customer service and requested repair. He kept saying his staff had talked to me -- that's not true. Aside from some texts from Steve, who never showed up, and messages left with Ariana, which never produced anything, I never talked to anyone. Because I would have told them I wasn't looking for a free replacement or a warranty. I wanted to know if the button could be repaired by the people that gave me the faulty key fob. I'm glad that so many people have been helped by this business, and I thought I had too, but the real test of a business is quality, is how they handle issues like this. So beware if you use this business and have an issue, you will get the *worst possible* customer service. Always look at the one-star reviews. That's where you're going to find the truth, not from people that are gratified that they were able to get into their house or car. Now I've got to find another locksmith who will take on repairing this faulty key fob, which should have lasted for years and it's for a car that is not even driven that much since I work at home, so I did not abuse it in any way, it's just faulty. I generally hate to leave bad reviews, but i have to say my experience with Hero was truly sub-par. I decided to be charitable and give 2 stars since my ignition was eventually fixed. but 1 is probabaly closer to what was deserved. the ignition in my car had given out and would not accept the key. after calling around for a locksmith, Hero said they could dispatch someone that day. So one of their locksmiths, "steve" called and said he would be there a between 4 and 6. He showed up at 7 (a little late but not a big deal... yet) , but by the time he was done it was getting dark and after I had paid him the $500, I did not see that he left the steering wheel cover loose and did not reconnect it. So when I went to drive it a half hour later, turning the wheel got stuck, warning lights went off and I was effectively still stuck without transportation. and the steering cover was not going on. I called him that night and he said he would call me after 8am. well he did not call and I had to call him. at 11am and he seemed to have no urgency about getting back to me. i waited a day waiting around for him unable to work. basically said he was busy and that he would be by between 4 and 6 (which was again not true).I told steve I needed the car on the early side of that 4-6 time frame. I called Hero , and the receptionist said she would talk with a manager. I doubt she did anything but hang up the phone anyway, once again he texts and says he is not be available til after 7 at which time I which time I had to already be at an important meeting. so I schedule for the next day. again I don't he from him in the morning and hear no urgency from him or Hero that it matters that I do not have use of my car for 3 days. Now he finally shows up after noon and basically tapes the steering wheel cover, claiming that the last repair guy broke it. and still really no acknowlegement of the fact that it has taken him so long to get back to me. And Hero never following up in any way either after multiple calls. as a self-employed person, I am shocked that they still can be in business. With all the locksmiths out there, this is one to avoid. they seem to have no concern about the customer beyond payment. They should be named " Half-assed, No-accountability Locksmiths" Flip a coin, maybe you will get good service. read more

I recommend Hero Locksmith to everyone. I called to ask a question about my car key not turning in my ignition. I was told a technician would call me back. David called me back almost immediately and drove out of his way to come check my car. I was so stressed because I got stranded on Easter Sunday n had missed several days of work. David worked with me and gave me a very good deal as I could not afford alot of money. He was my only hope. After he examined my car he determined the problem. David explained the problem and gave me two options. After I got the money David drive back to my car to remove ignition switch. He took my key and switch with him overnight to work on it and returned the next morning to install it back in my car. My car started back up immediately as he assured me it would. I lost my keys for both my apartment and my car! Dan came by quickly and assured me he would be able to not only get me a new key but also get me into my apartment (which had 3 doors btw). I called Hero Locksmith after another locksmith didn't show (and THEN wanted several hundred extra dollars [ON TOP of the service fees] to come out after 5pm as a result of that no show). Hero responded immediately and came out within 15 minutes. Their technician was professional, personable, quick, and did a fantastic job for less than 1/3 of what the other locksmith wanted to charge. Apparently, charging people hundreds of dollars extra to come after 5pm - or even before - isn't the norm in locksmithing. I am so happy that the other locksmith showed his true colors.
