Juan met me at a rental unit to address a door that was not locking correctly. Juan was very professional and courteous. When he was working on the door, he explained what he was doing to keep me informed as well as he explained that the damage I was seeing in the door frame was not normal. That the damage would be due to a lot of bodily force to open a door, which is why there was now issues with the door not locking properly. I appreciate him bringing that to my attention, as I was not familiar with the distress sign on a door frame for cause - just more astounded at the poor condition of my unit. I am a fan of Mul-T-Lock and asked Tommy's Locksmith to rekey the locks in my new house. The previous owner installed a decorative lock/handle assembly that was hard to replace, my only option was to change out the keyway to match the Mul-T-Lock deadbolts I planned on installing or settle and have the existing Schlage lock re-keyed. (Yeah, I'm a little OCD, I want one key to unlock the deadbolts and the front door lock. ) The technician (nice courteous young man) showed up on time, listened to what I wanted to be done, and successfully installed a Mul-T-Lock keyway that matched my Mul-T-Lock deadbolts. I was impressed that he could look at my key and modify a Mul-T-Lock keyway to match my keys so quickly. After he finished installing the new keyway and showed me that it worked with my deadbolt key, the technician didn't look satisfied. He inserted/removed the key a few times, something was bothering him, you can tell by the look on his face. It seemed okay to me. He reached into his tools, pulled out a bottle of lubricant, sprayed the keyway, and tried inserting/removing the key a few times, he seemed satisfied now. A man with a sense of pride in his work! Its rare these days to find people who value doing a job well, a lot of people slap things together and call it a day. I really appreciated his attention to detail. This guy was highly experienced and good at his craft. I would highly recommend this firm. read more
