As we just purchased a new home, we needed a locksmith to come recore all of our locks. My wife found Avihai through Thumbtack as he was highly rated, and he was able to come out very quickly after. The entire experience with Avihai from beginning to end was nothing but great. He was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and an overall wonderful person to interact with. Some highlights of our experience with him: - Very clean. Without prompting, he immediately put on his own clean shoe covers before entering the home. - Organized and neat. Didn't make a mess anywhere. His equipment and accessories were so perfectly organized. - He didn't want to scratch our floors so laid down a rubber mat to set his tools on. He was considerate and thought to do that himself without any prompting. - Knowledgeable. Without us asking, he showed us how to use the newly installed lock and the features. - Took the initiative to fix the alignment on our front door. We never asked. He didn't charge extra. - Took his time doing the work. Didn't rush. - His rates are very reasonable. We would DEFINITELY hire Avihai again for any future locksmithing needs. And we highly recommend him for anyone else that is looking for a locksmith in the area. read more

Avi is a true expert locksmith. We had two other locksmiths come out to look at mechanical issues with our two sets of decades-old French (bifold) doors. He fixed one set right away and rekeyed the other doors. I don't think there's any locks that this guy can't figure out. He will be my top choice next time we need a locksmith! read more

Great service, quick response, came in installed 2 new locks and verified all works fine in under an hour at a very reasonable price.

Communicated well, was fast and efficient in unlocking our very old safe. Would hire him again!

Avihai was the 1st one to respond to My quote with an estimate, some of the others were asking to call them not sure why. He showed up on time and helped me with the rekeying job. I realized I did not give him the right estimate of the work so he had to plan for at least 45 additional minutes. he did not complain when he found this nor did he try to bargain for crazy additional $s. The best thing was that he had a smile on his face since the time he came in until he left our place. Great guy, friendly, trust worthy, very professional in his service at reasonable price. I would highly recommend him and hire him again. I am glad to find him and thank yelp for making it convenient to find people with such skills. Love this feature. read more

I recently moved to a new home in Concord. I called Top Locksmith Lafayette to help me change the locks in my new house, Avi The owner arrived on time and successfully helped with changing all new locks with new keys. Great job, good customer service, highly recommend Top Locksmith. read more

Locksmith Lafayette literally saved us in the middle of the night. We had somehow lost the one car key we had, and Locksmith Lafayette was able to drive to us and make a new car key on the spot--would highly recommend! They require to see your driver's license and proof of ownership for the car; fortunately, that was all very quick and easy. Additionally, since the locksmith was already on the road, it took him barely any time to arrive at our place. Once the locksmith arrived, it took little to no time for him to unlock the car and make a new key; I'd estimate it took ten minutes or less. The locksmith arrives in a van that has everything they need to make a new key. Our new key had to be specially programmed to work in the car, and the locksmith was able to do that from inside his vehicle. Since the key was programmed, the old key will no longer work on the car. The price was really reasonable and definitely saved us money; if we had taken it to a dealer it would have easily costed two-hundred if not three-hundred dollars more, would have required us towing our car to the dealership, and then paying an extra high price from the dealership. After the locksmith finished, we joked and told him he's like a magician, and he said, "Oh, I know, right?" which provided some nice laughs in an otherwise extremely stressful situation. read more

Avi was one of the first locksmiths to respond to my query on Yelp. His quote was the most reasonable among all who responded. He came to our house promptly within 2 hours of my confirmation. Besides fixing the prior deadbolt issue, he also installed a lockset and rekeyed it without any additional charge. It was a professionally done finish. Avi was very courteous and professional during our interaction. I would highly recommend his service to everyone. read more

This is the best experience I've ever had with a locksmith company, and I managed an apartment building in San Francisco for 15 years. The reason is their technician, Avi, is incredibly talented and skilled. He was able to analyze a very difficult broken lock, know exactly what to order and fixed the door better than BEFORE IT WAS BROKEN! I can't recommend this service any higher with the caveat you request AVI as he is the best locksmith I've ever used. read more

Avi was the consummate professional: courteous, calm, helpful, responsive, quick and easy to work with. I had found an old wooden filing cabinet on Craigslist, but the previous owner had lost the keys. Avi quickly assessed the situation, removed the lock barrel, took it to his shop, found keys that worked, and came back within 15 min to reinstall and deliver the new keys. For the cost of the service and two new keys, I was able to keep a piece of furniture out of the landfill AND avoid buying a new piece of lower-quality furniture. PRICELESS!!! Thank you so much, Avi!! read more
