Locksmith Lafayette literally saved us in the middle of the night. We had somehow lost the one car key we had, and Locksmith Lafayette was able to drive to us and make a new car key on the spot--would highly recommend! They require to see your driver's license and proof of ownership for the car; fortunately, that was all very quick and easy. Additionally, since the locksmith was already on the road, it took him barely any time to arrive at our place. Once the locksmith arrived, it took little to no time for him to unlock the car and make a new key; I'd estimate it took ten minutes or less. The locksmith arrives in a van that has everything they need to make a new key. Our new key had to be specially programmed to work in the car, and the locksmith was able to do that from inside his vehicle. Since the key was programmed, the old key will no longer work on the car. The price was really reasonable and definitely saved us money; if we had taken it to a dealer it would have easily costed two-hundred if not three-hundred dollars more, would have required us towing our car to the dealership, and then paying an extra high price from the dealership. After the locksmith finished, we joked and told him he's like a magician, and he said, "Oh, I know, right?" which provided some nice laughs in an otherwise extremely stressful situation. read more
