Bomacs is a top of the line service establishment. Al the owner runs a professional outfit with top of the line customer service. My technician Tim, handled my Electronic Key issue wonderfully. In fact, as the key went totally haywire, and from bad to worse after I changed the battery in my car for some reason that was completely over my head, Tim calmly and smoothly saved my day. Thanks Bomacs! read more

I just moved and I needed keys. You would think that's a simple task. I'm finding most locksmiths now are mobile and you don't want that small job of a couple of house keys, I was actually referred to Bomax by one of those other locksmiths. These people were great! I made all the sets of my keys. I tested them out when I got home and all worked correctly, thank you very much. I also bought some little key things for fun. I don't often need keys, but when I do now, I know where to go read more

Bomac's never lets me down. Recently they were the only reasonable solution to getting Honda ATV keys made. They cut the blanks perfectly and at a ready price to the other three yelp replies to my job request. I simply should have gone to Bomac's first! read more

The only area locksmith I trust. Have used them many times over the years for changing locks, installing deadbolts and general repairs. Latest repair saved me having to completely replace a very old, large and expensive front door assembly with deadbolt. Highly recommend these knowledgeable and dedicated folks. read more

The locksmiths did quality work and are very nice to deal with. There was a glitch with some of the duplicate keys, but they and the owner were very quick to resolve the problem and settled the bill fairly. Would definitely recommend and use again. read more

I've used Bomacs for cutting keys for years, but also changing locks at my home. They are always polite, on time and they didn't leave a mess, no finger prints or parts left behind. Although they've moved a bit further from my home, I'll still use them when needed again! read more

Needed some new locks with coded keys sets due to vandalism. They turned it around in a day. Great service and friendly.

I had an interior bedroom door with key lock door handle. Of course, lost the keys. My total experience with Bomac, specifically Alan, was tremendous. Removing the key lock was not as straightforward as standard knobs, but, Alan walked me through the process, and was able to remove the door knob. May not sound like much, but it was, and very thankful for Alan's expertise, and experience. Highly recommend Bomac, and Alan. Arthur read more

These guys are great! I had to get a new electronic key made for my car, and they did a great job and saved me a bunch of money

It was raining, and the two locksmiths I had visited before were closed. One wasn't at the address listed online. Perhaps it was simply good luck that I stopped in at Bomac's on North Main. Suffice it to say, that's where I'm going in the future. The manager was friendly, helpful, efficient, and kind. I had three keys copied from an old, well-worn one, and I worried that when I got home, I would discover the new keys wouldn't work. No need for worry. They unlock better/more smoothly than the original. Bomac's is my new key store for sure. read more

I needed a copy of my car key and Alex delivered with expedite service! I will definitely recommend Bomac's locksmiths to my friends

This store is a gem! I needed a specialty key made ASAP and had called many other locksmith companies that could not help me--I sent pictures of my key for a "consultation" of whether or not they could make they key, but got no response; I was told by another that they were not familiar with the key; and another said I'd have to schedule an appointment because there were no technicians on site, despite listing a physical address. Finally, I stumbled on Bomac's listing and called. Jim said to come on right over so he could look at the key. He said his store carries possibly the largest selection of keys in the whole of Contra Costa County, which sounded very promising, and he could get the key if he didn't have it. Inside the store, there was a whole wall covered almost from front to back with keys! Sure enough, Jim had my key, and he made 2 copies for me on the spot. If you're looking for a quick, no-hassle locksmith, I highly recommend Bomac's! read more

Again, I visited Bomacs because a volunteer project needed keys, some of which were unusual. I offered to get the keys made and, of course, turned to Bomacs. Took my original key that took me 6 months to find for a rare vehicle. They cut it and then told me that it wouldn't work, gave it back to me and told me to get lost. Wouldn't even compensate the cost of the key that they just ruined. Customer service = garbage read more

Bomac's gets my highest rating! I received top-notch - and very personable - service from Danny Reichert, who assisted me with programming a key fob for my electric vehicle. Danny was very skilled and engaged my confidence. There were some problems with the fob I'd purchased at the dealer, and Danny gave sound advice about how to handle the problem. As I watched other workers at the shop, it was obvious to me that everyone there displays the same kind of integrity and customer service Danny does. This is my go-to place for any locksmith-related needs. read more

Wow!!! I walked in and was helped right away. Amazingly quick and affordable service. Well worth the trip!

Needed a unique mail key duplicated. Went here, walked in right away, he took the key, made two copies for me pronto. I like the selection of safes there too. The store is laid out great. We're planning on getting a safe in the near future and will definitely be back here for that but also it's good knowing if you need keys made, this is a place you can get it done right away - and if you see the keys on the wall - they can do pretty much anything. A good company we'll use again. read more

HOW I DISCOVERED THEM: they were recommended by a number of neighbors in my local fb group WHAT I NEEDED TO GET DONE: rekey locks, install deadbolt INITIAL COMMUNICATION: let me preface by saying that I am not knowledgeable about anything related to door knobs other than using my key to open them. So I called and told them (what my husband told me, which was) we needed to replace the cylinders in our door knobs. The person on the other line was super knowledgeable, patient, and friendly! He told me that usually only commercial buildings need their cylinders replaced and explained that I probably was looking to rekey my doorknobs instead. He also explained how Schlage and Kwikset door knobs have different configurations (?), so they can't always rekey those using the same key. Being that I don't know if all our doorknobs had the same configuration/cylinder(? I forgot the word he used), he told me to take photos of our doorknobs and email it to them, so he can let me know if he can rekey them all the same. PRICE: I was given the breakdown of the costs for each service beforehand, so I wasn't surprised by the charges afterwards and they were reasonable. QUALITY OF WORK/SERVICE: Great! Scheduling was easy. They gave us a timeframe when they would come by. We received a text when they were on their way. They were super professional and did quality work. He actually took the time to carve out the rectangle on the side of our door to install the deadbolt (I say this bc whoever installed the doorknob on our door previously just took an entire piece of the door out from the side and now there's wood missing and it's ugly). Payment was easy, you can just pay the guy onsite (at your home) with a credit card. Overall, I had a great experience with them. Honestly, I called a few places to get quotes on the work, and the person who answered my call and took the time to explain everything to me in such a professional and friendly manner sealed the deal. I'd recommend them to all my friends and fam! read more

I have known and used the BOMACS services in the early 90s when I needed an emergency intervention to avoid breaking a door with a jammed lock. At that time, I recall that they showed up within a less than an hour of calling them, as I happened to live nearby their Walnut Creek office. They showed up, un-jammed the lock and opened the door in a fast and efficient manner. Fast forward 30 years, and the company is still delivering great and precise service. Henry, their technician showed up on time, and expertly resolved our lock issue within less than 30mins. In the process, he took the lock apart, he cleaned and lubed the components, and then neatly put everything back together. A simple service, yet very efficiently resolved, with excellent customer service skills. The payment was a breeze, with their mobile app payment. I know that BOMACS has been around for a long time, in fact for 75 years to be accurate. The family owned business continues a long standing tradition of providing quality service even with younger techs in supporting roles. Hopefully you'll never need their services, but if you are looking for a locksmith who knows what they are doing, look no further. BOMACS is the best in the business. read more

Love this shop. Very old school. They have a wide variety of locks and keys. I'm happy with the customer service and my purchases.

Locked out of my new house, their technician came in 15 minutes. It turned out my door wasn't shut all the way, so he just had to push on it, and it opened. (Was I embarrassed? Uh, yeah!) So, instead of charging me for that, and since I needed my locks re-keyed, he did both my locks. He was professional. kind, and fast. He even gave me some good tips for staying safe in this crazy world. If you need anything requiring a locksmith, call Bomac's. They are fabulous. Thank you, Bomac's! read more
