Bamboo Lock services installed my door locks with key pads over a year ago. I recently tried to use the key pad and it did not function properly. I called the owner of Bamboo Lock Services and he indicated that it might need a new battery. I sent him a picture of my door and lock pad and he offered to walk me through installing a new battery, no charge. Two days later the key pad was again working properly. Before I could call him he sent me a text asking if my key pad was working. I said I was still having problems and would he be available to come out tomorrow. He said he could come out now, Sunday, and check to see what he could do to fix the issue. It turned out the battery I installed, with his direction, was almost dead. He installed a new battery and made an adjustment to the door jam to enable the door to more easily close. I offered to compensate him for his time and coming out on a Sunday, he said, "no charge". Batyr is more than a locksmith; he is a miracle worker. We have a very old, custom made front door with a doorknob that would not stay on. Several other locksmiths have attempted to fix it with no success. One locksmith in the past told us that the entire door would need to be replaced. Another said it was impossible to fix and refused to look at it. Batyr patiently took the doorknob assembly apart and crafted a solution. He spent two and a half hours doing this and charged only his standard rate. His rate was very reasonable, the doorknob is working again, and the old, custom made doors are once again as functional as they are beautiful. read more

My review is a bit late but better late than never. The service was prompt, fast, and professional. I wasn't charged an arm and a leg for the re-keying of a basic lock. The pricing was extremely fair. The locksmith even went out of his way to replace a few screws that he deemed loose, which any additional charge. He was very prompt and I liked the fact that he offered to fix a broken old door knob first instead of offering to replace the entire entrance door set.
