Super responsive service--on a holiday no less--Top Locksmith Lafayette delivers fast, affordable service and was a pleasure to work with.

Avi was helpful in making a car key replacement but be very careful, since the options are making just a metal key that open the car door but will not start the car and the much more expensive second option is to make a actual car key with clicker that will start the car. Overall friendly and very good service but do your research and ask question first. read more

Avi responded to my yelp request fast. The other locksmiths informed me that they couldn't help me with my auto ignition cylinder causing my key not to work. I felt helpless thinking I was stranded without a car and would have to tow the car to a mechanic and it would cost alot. When Avi responded and asked a few questions about my car and said not only could he help but he could be at my house in a hour! He arrived quickly and was professional and kept true to his estimate with a fair price. He saved the day! I totally would recommend him and trust his work. He got me back on the road in no time!! Talk about good customer service - Avi was professional, friendly, efficient and helpful. He replaced our locks in our new home and helped provide guidance on what the best options for replacement. Avi made sure that all of our locks were working and even helped adjust a few locks that were sticking on some sliding doors. He cleaned up after himself and was very respectful of the property. We were looking for a locksmith who could install a new front door handle set by filling the old holes and drilling a new one. Avi was a right person to do the job! He was on time, reasonably priced and professional in every way. We couldn't ask for more! He was kind enough to do some extra work by installing a door knocker as a complimentary service. For those who are looking for a locksmith, I highly recommend him with no hesitation! read more

We moved houses in the area and needed to rekey our keys. He came right on time and explained what was best for our situation and why and was very quick and smooth in getting it done. Great service read more

We were having trouble with the lock mechanism for two different sliding glass doors for our house in the Oakland Hills (Orinda border) so we requested a quote on Yelp. He got back to us very quickly, and was able to come within a couple hours. He was able to fix one of the sliding glass doors right away however the second door took quite some time (it turned out the lock wasn't the issue, the door had issues with closing correctly). It was evident that he cared about finishing the job correctly and didn't give up until the door closed smoothly and properly allowed us to lock it without any issues. His pricing was reasonable compared to others and though the 2nd job took some time, he didn't ask for additional compensation above what he had already quoted.... Would definitely recommend in the future... read more

Top Locksmith Lafayette was able to replace an old-fashioned garage door lock. I sent pictures of the lock and Top Locksmith pre-ordered what was needed so he could troubleshoot and replace what was needed. He fixed the problem in one trip. Another locksmith I called was not willing to come up with a solution. I highly recommend Top Locksmith and would call them first next time a problem arises. read more

Avi is the absolute best!!! We moved into a new house and wanted all the locks re-keyed. I called Avi looking to get on his schedule - he said he had an opening that day. I live in Orinda and got locked out of my house early on a Sunday morning. I looked online and discovered that Top Locksmith was one of the only locksmiths in LAMORINDA. I called and Avi, the owner came right away, within 15 mins. Incredible. He was very conscientious about not damaging my door. He opened it quickly, made me extra sets of keys and even tuned up the lock for me. This was the best experience I've ever had with a locksmith and he lives in the community as well, so it's a major plus. I highly recommend him. read more

I just had Top Locksmith's Avi come to my home within 30 minutes of my first call. He was very efficient and friendly in removing a key that had broken off in the lock of a storage room door. He also spent time to diagnose what was making the door lock so tight and even bored out the wood on the door jamb that was impeding the locking mechanism. I'd highly recommend his service to anyone needing this type of service. read more
